My Valentines Exchange

from BeckySC. Thank you so much for the little goodies. She stitched up a needlecase and it will store my gold needles. I also will leave it out year round :-)

Tuesday Happenings

well as I said last Friday, things were subject to change. First the Pastor called to see if she had to pick up DS#1 for babysitting. He wasn't written down to babysit and then she realized she forgot to ask him. So i called him at school and told him he was needed for babysitting. So that is what he did. DS#2 came home from school and asked to go to his girlfriends house til about 8 pm. So I dropped him off at 3:30. DH had problems with the car wash at work, and ended up staying til 6 pm. So we didn't go anywheres.
Saturday was running around here and there. DH took me to Applebees for lunch.
Sunday DS#1 and I went to church. DS#2 had spent the night at a friend's house. I picked him up after church and dropped him off at work.
Then I spent the day stitching and watching TV.
I started this magazine mania SALpic at top, on the Friends Gather board. It is from a JCS magazine. I also stitched up a freebie but I can't show it since it is for an exchange :-)
Monday I stitched on a model piece and the page I am doing should be done today. I am praying really hard anyways. DS#1 was inducted into the National Honor Society, last night , at school :-) I am very proud of him.
Today DS#1 and I have a dentist appointment and then I need to get to the PO :-) then away on my stitching.

BBRR it's cold outside

I didn't even want to get out of bed this morning and go to Curves but I did. I stitched all day yesterday on the model piece. I was feeling bad for being behind on this piece but I was informed by the designer that I am doing great and there are others way behind schedule so I felt somewhat better.

Today I will stitch a heart freebie, have to fins one in my stash, and that will be for an exchange and I can get it mailed out tomorrow.

DH and both kids will be home tonight. That is very unusual so I think we should go visit DHs parents. Although you never know arund this house if plans change.

Windy Day

the wind has picked up and we are supposed to get a little bit of snow.
I have been stitching on the model piece and watching TV. I just watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I will have 3 Netflix movies tomorrow and nothing is on TV tonight, that I watch. Bones moved to Wednesday nights and Supernatural either isn't on or is a repeat.
Just read on TV Guide that the WB and UPN will be merging and forming a new station called CW and then the WB and UPN will be gone. Those shows will move to CW. I sure hope that I can get it on Dish Network as I watch quite a bit of the WB.

a finish and Chatty Monday

I stitched up LK January stamp as part of 2 SALs over the weekend through the Friends Gather board.

I watched quite a few movies last week:
Amityville Horror(2005)
Jane Doe: Yes, I Remember It Well
The Polar Express
Christmas With the Kranks
Fever Pitch
Hide and Seek
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Mystery woman: At First Sight
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Also rooted for Denver and they lost. Rooted for the Panthers and they lost. So the Super Bowl is Steelers vs Seahawks and I will be rooting for the Seahawks :-)

Right now I am reading Creepers by David Morrell. Also stitching on the model piece but will stitch on a sports ornament in the evening. 7th Heaven, 24 and Medium are on tonight and all new epsiodes.

Which Disney Character are you?

You scored as Cinderella. Your alter ego is Cinderella! You often find yourself doing a lot of housework, but if you are patient, your hard work usually pays off. You are prone to losing things, so dont rush through everything.

Small Happy dance

Monday evenings are for sports ornaments, that I stitch for a school's charity. They are due the first Saturday of December and this is my 2nd one done. This is a soccer ball and I also finished it into an ornament so I won't have a whole bunch in November to do.

Yesterday I stitched on Twisted Oaks Designs model piece. Watched Amityville Horror(2005), Jane Doe:Yes, I Remember It Well and 24, which is awesome!
I didn't get any reading time in yesterday but I would like to finish The Twilight Before Christmas, today.

24 Hour Challenge finished!!

I did a 24 hour challenge from the Friend's Gather BB. This is January from A Year Full of Happy by Samsarah Designs. This is for a friend as she gave me all of her cross stitch stash and she asked me to stitch this in return. She no longer cross stitches.

I had lunch at the Olive Garden with a few friends from the RochesterBookCrossing Yahoo group. Exchanged some books and had a good meal.

Came home to finish January and watched Wedding Crashers. it was a good movie but I was expecting it to be funnier and DH said the same thing.

I am a Faerie

I took this test and came up with this mythical creature.

You scored as Faerie. Faerie: Aren't you a cute little flying person? Faeries are earth spirits. They live among each element completely hidden. They have cousins called Pixies. Pixies however, are very mischevious. They enjoy tormenting other creatures for fun. Little pranksters.. I hope you never meet one. Pixies have a bad reputation for finding a creature and clinging to them until death. Faeries can be somewhat close to a Pixie, but mostly they are loving, playful, and carry with them a child-like enthusiasm for life. Hide among the pedals of a Daisy, you are a Faerie.

weird weather

This is like spring. starting yesterday through Friday supposed to be in the 50s. Then this weekend back to cold and snowing.

I have been stitching on the 2 models that I have. I stitch half a day on one and then the rest of the day on the other one.

Also since joining Netflix I have watched alot of movies. Yesterday I received Wrong Turn which is a horror movie and was pretty good. Monday I switched my account though from 1 at a time to 3 a ta time so I got an email yesterday that 2 movies should be here today and Wrong Turns is sitting in my mailbox now to be shipped back.

Started reading The Twilight Before Christmas by Christine Feehan. It is a paranormal book about witches and is also a romance.

Last night Supernatural on the WB had a new show so I watched that and Lost and Invasion is on tonight. I also watched Disc 1 of the Oprah 20th Anniversary DVD set. I recieved it for Christmas and will watch disc 2 when i get off the computer unless the mail is here with the 2 DVDs.

Happy Dancing Sunday!!!!

I had a busy weekend doing what I wanted to do stitchwise. So my weekends will be Stitch Alongs with FGBB.

I started and finished Lizzie Kate's 4th Of July Flip It. I have 2 more to do of this series.

I also had stitched up this Christmas Mouse a few months ago so I finished him into an ornament. The colors are off since the felt on the back is supposed to be bright red.

I also started and finished Bent Creek January Snows Snapper. I still need to buy snaps for this series.

I finished watching everything that I had DVRd in the past couple of months so I will watch Oprah's 20th Anniversary DVD set, that I got for Christmas.
I feel pretty good accomplishing all of this and can't wait to get back to the model piece today. I have another one as well that will only take a couple of days so I will alternate between the 2, but again no posting of progress or finishes on them.

Thanks Becky for having the FGBB, without them I wouldn't have accomplished so much :-)

Stitchers Blogging Question of the week

Do you do your stash shopping at your LNS, ONS, or both? Which do you like better? Why?

I like both. My LNS is 45 minutes away and alot of times I get there and she is out of what i want or need. I buy everything else online at Down Sunshine Lane and what i can't get from there I then go to my LNS. If I buy at my LNS then I tend to spend more money LOL. If I buy online then I just order what I need or want and don't browse at other items.

Been MIA again!

I needed to take some time off from the computer and regroup. I have so many WIP going and want to join in several SALs and I will eventually get to all of them but I need to finish this model piece, yes I am still stitching on it and do see an end in sight.

The boys had picked out a new hair color for me and it didn't quite come out the way that I wanted it to. it is starting to fade and the pic that DS#2 took was deleted on accident.

I am now caught up on all the emails, Yahoo groups, ezboards and Blogs so I can breathe a sigh of relief :-)
