Happy Hump Day!!

Yes it is wednesday. My day was pretty busy. Got up and went to Curves before work. Got to work and listened to the audiobook of Metro Girl by Janet Evanovich. I like the storyline but am really sick of the author saying Nascar Guy throughout the book. I did finish Envy by Sandra Brown and it was an awesome book. I am reading Knit One, Kill Two by Maggie Sefton.
I alos pulled out Fishing Santa Stocking, to stitch on while watching TV.
DVR:
Kyle XY - 8/20 8/27 9/3
Desperate Housewives 11/25

TV tonight was Shrek The Halls Christmas special. Very cute!

At work we are getting ready for the big move into the new building. The supervisor and other woman that I work with, packed and took some things over today. I helped as well. I can't wait for the new move. We are in a really old building that is freezing and we have to share the bathroom which is not that great and several times my supervisor has walked in on a guy because he doesn't close the door. He must think he is home. the new building is just for our business so there is just the 3 of us there. Will be so nice. So when we are done working tomorrow then we have to help move. We are hoping that there will be enough guys to move the big things as we can't do that.

SBQ of the week

What would your stash tell others about you?
Most of us stitchers joke about having reached SABLE (stash acquired beyond life expectancy), but have you thought about what you’d like done with your stash after your death? Do you want it to reach other stitchers who will love it, too? Would your family know what to do with it or recognize its value?
How well organized is your stash –would someone be able to come in and put together a sale easily, or would it require lots of organizing work ahead of time? What would you like to see done with the funds collected from such a sale, i.e., should funds go to your family, to a charity or charities of your choice, to a charity or charities of your family’s choice, etc.?
Are there certain items in your stash which are rare and highly desired by stitchers that might make a much larger amount of money if sold on eBay? Have you done anything to designate which items these more valuable ones are to guide your family in how to handle them? Who would you tell your family should handle such a sale so that they don’t have to do it themselves? Have you done anything to make these thoughts known to others, either through discussions or through a codicil to your will?
Have you ever attended a similar sale of a passed stitcher’s stash? How did it make you feel? Did it encourage you to make any changes in your stitching lifestyle?

I have actually discussed this with my family and they know that they would just have to make a couple of emails to friends and any of my cross stitch online friends can come and have whatever they want. Mine is actually pretty well organized.

more stitching and TV

I went to Curves this morning, before going to work. Got to work and found that we were going to be really busy for the day. So I got out my MP3 player so I could finish listening to Envy by Sandra Brown but I get to the end and my battery dies :-( So I charged it when I got home and listened to a little bit of it tonight.
I decided to watch some more DVR shows while stitching.
DVR:

The Dead Zone 9/9 9/16
All caught up on those as the last ones were the season finales.

Stitched some more on Fishing Santa stocking. I am dying to share a pic of my progress.

I am starting to read Knit One, Kill Two by Maggie Sefton

I had another great day for getting things done.

When I picked up Dylan at work I sat and read a book for half an hour and finished Step On a Crack by James Patterson. Awesome book and it says it is first in a new series.

Great stitching weekend

I did it. I washed the dishes, vacuumed, washed 5 loads of laundry and watched TV all day while stitching.
I finished MH Bee Skep and started JCS 2003 Homespun Elegance Ltd. , Starry Santa. Since I stitch a JCS ornament on the 25th of each month, I started a day early. It will be done today and then I will be stitching MH Flying High, cute Halloween Piece. I did start out to stitch on the stocking but then remembered it is the weekend and I stitch on my little kits.

I will show all the finishes and the stocking when I am back on.

Lazy Day

I have been a little busy for a few days.
Thursday- got up and took my shower. As soon as I stepped out and grabbed a towel, the power went out. I was thankful that I still didn't have shampoo in my hair but how was I supposed to blow dry and make it look nice for Thanksgiving day. Power was back on in 30 min. So I missed about 45 minutes of the Macy's Parade. Sat down and stitched while watching the parade and then the dog show. Made the tossed salad after that. Dylan came home from work so we took off for my parent's house. Justin was at his friend's house for a few days so he met us there. Had a nice Thanksgiving with my parents , my sis and bil. My dad seemed to be doing a little better while we were there.

Friday- Dylan wanted me to take him and a friend to the mall so after I worked out at Curves, we headed for the mall. Was packed and I did end up with a pretty decent parking spot. He bought Scott's Christmas gift, bought me lunch and the way we were since he had to be at work by 2. Scott was out hunting and Justin had to work 7am-10am and then back to work again from 4pm-7pm. Scott came home and then we went to his parent's for a family get together. In the afternoon I did get a lot of stitching time in on the stocking while watching the DVR shows:
Ghost Whisperer - 11/9
Women's Murder Club - 11/9
Desperate Housewives 11/11
Smallville 11/15

Today is lazy day. Got up and sorted through the laundry for washing. Washed my face with noxzema and decided no makeup today and wearing lazy clothes, t shirt with sweatpants LOL. I am a sight let me say. Scott and Dylan went hunting for the day and Justin had to work at the station 7am-2:30. I washed dishes and vacuumed and have laundry going all day. After checking everything online I will then sit and stitch on stocking and watch DVR shows, almost caught up. I just remembered I have a few episodes of Grey's Anatomy on the VCR as well LOL.

My computer still isnt online so still using Dylan's laptop, and wait til I can post a pic of the progress on the stocking, I have gotten a lot accomplished on it.

I could use some prayers for my dad. He had knee surgery in October and is still in a lot of pain and won't have his other knee done now. My mom called and said that Thanksgiving is off but my dad changed her mind and she called me back.
I have been stitching Fishing Santa Stocking.
Reading Step On a Crack by James Patterson , which is really good.Listening to Envy by Sandra Brown on my MP3 player.
Today I watched General Hospital , Oprah's Favorite Things , Bones and House

If something can go wrong it will

Well Friday the furnace had broken at work. Saturday DH lost his cell phone in the woods, while out hunting, had to fill out a form at the police station so the cell insurance would replace it. Then our home phone has been out all weekend and have to replace phone lines in the house. So I can't use my computer and no pics of stitching. Today I am at Curves when my Supervisor calls and says no work as the furnace is still broken. So I have the day and time to spend with DH.
Saturday I stitched and finished MH Violet Angel and watched Underworld and Underworld:Evolution.
Had a stitch in yesterday with KarenNY and stitched on MH Bee Shep. After she left I stitched some more and then watched Eragon on HBO. What an awesome movie. I have the book but haven't read it and now I know it will get read sometime as the books are always better.
I stitched alot today on Fishing Santa Stocking while watching DVR: Friday's General Hospital, todays episode and SMallville 11/8 and Supernatural 11/8.
Then I read The Cat Who Had 60 Whiskers by Lilian Jackson Braun. Anyone that has read her books and loved them will be very disappointed in this book.

TGIF

What a day that I have had. It was snowing this morning, not to bad and most of the roads were clear. I did go to Curves this morning anf got in some workout. Then met DH at the coffee shop a block away.

Got to work and nothing major going on there til late morning and we smell something hot. Seems the reason we were cold is because the furnace was broken. Then my supervisor gets in trouble by what I will call a dweeb down in the main office. Even some of our customers won't talk to him because he is so rude.

I feel like I am coming down with a cold and the weather doesn't help. Scott had to go in and work tonight and then will get out in the morning and go hunting for most of the day so I plan on stitching and watching TV all day tomorrow. I also really need to give the dog a bath. He stinks and feels gross LOL.
Tonight I watched DVR shows while stitching, above pic is my new progress
DVR:
Smallville - episode 11/1
Supernatural - 11/1
Ghost Whisperer - 11/2
Women's Murder Club - 11/2
Started a new book. Dead End Dating by Kimberly Rave.
FYI: anyone interested in going to a proboards for cross stitch, reading and entertainment please check out my site. I do have to update the colors though :-)

Snow is coming

That is what the weathermen are saying. I am not looking forwards to it at all since I now have a job and don't drive in the snow. I will have to start doing it again :-(

I have been stitching away today. I watched 4 shows on DVR while stitching on the stocking:

Smallville-episode 10/25

Supernatural 10/25

Ghost Whisperer 10/26

Women's Murder Club - 10/26

I finished reading Kitty & The Midnight Hour by Carrie Vaughn and although I didn't care for it at the beginning, I did end up liking the book. I started Dead End Dating and can't remember the authors name right now.

My progress pic of the stocking is above. I am getting there slowly but surely.

TV and stitching

I had to work a little later at work today. Went to the store and dropped off audiobooks at the library. Came home fixed dinner and then watched a DVD:

The Covenant - enjoyed it

watched tonight's Bones and House

Stitched on Fishing Santa Stocking

I also read more of Kitty & The Midnight Hour by Carrie Vaughn, which I am enjoying. Took me awhile to decide if I wanted to finish it. I don't like how the main character is being treated.

Happy Thursday!

I kept busy today and had quite a bit of energy. Got to work and weren't very busy. Computer problems as well and I left at 1:15. Stopped at the bank, went to Subway and then got gas in my car. Went home and cleaned the hall and family room. Lit some candles as well. Spent some time with DH and then sat down with the remote to the DVR and cross stitched. I ended up watching:

GH - last 30 minutes

Smallville - episode 10/11

Supernatural - episode 10/11

Ghost Whisperer - episode 10/12

Women's Murder Club - episode 10/12

At work I listened to my MP3 player and had playing Quentin's by Maeve Binchy.

weird weather

I woke up to it pouring out. DH came home at 7:30am and we were facing each other, talking. I was facing the east window and he was facing the west window. He says it is snowing out and I look out my window and say no , just raining. He says theya re big flakes and I tell him it is just raining so i turn and look out the west window and sure enough it is snowing in the back yard. I turn back around and it is now snowing in the front yard. I head out for work and the snow has picked up. Some parts of the main road had slush and visibility was bad for a few minutes. Had snowed on and off all day. I was all done with my work by 1:30 so my supervisor told me I could go home at 2. A friend of mine, who goes to college a few miles from where I work, said when she got out of college at 3:30 had 2" of snow on the ground. Must have happened right after I left work.

Came home and cleaned the kitchen. My friend also cut Dylan's (DS#2) hair. Looks pretty good.

I downloaded another audiobook to my computer, Maeve Binchy's The Return Journey. That will go on my MP3 player next.

Tonight I watched Bones and House while stitching on BH&G Fishing Santa Stocking.

Read A Peach of a Murder by Livia J. Washburn and only have a few pages left so I will finish that tonight, when I am done here.

At worked I listened to some more of Nights of Rain and Stars by Maeve Binchy.

Then sat and watched TV while stitching.
General Hospital-the last 30 minutes

Desperate Housewives - episodes 10/28 , 11/4
Smallville - episode 10/4
Supernatural - episode 10/4

Reading:
A Peach of a Murder - Livia J. Washburn

Stitching:
BH & G Cross Stitch Christmas 1999 - Fishing Santa Stocking. I have the top right panel done but need to do the backstitching tomorrow. I started this in Myrtle Beach and it is for Dylan. He picked it out and I wanted it done for this Christmas as a gift but I don't think it will be done on time. Although the snow will be coming soon and everyone knows I turn into a hermit then LOL.

November is here

Where did October go? Before you know it Christmas will be here.
I finished listening to Tara Road by Maeve Binchy and downloaded Nights of Rain and Stars by Maeve Binchy. I will listen to that at work next. I have tons of books in my bookcase and listening to alot of them to free up my bookcase will be great. I am reading A Peach of a Murder by Livia J. Washburn.
I didn't get any cross stitching in today but I am going to organize my stash better. I really need to do that and I would like to change scissors and fobs every month as well as getting more of the pretty mesh bags with fabric. I have 3 so far and would like 9 more so I can change them every month. Yes, I am probably a freak LOL.
I didn't watch any TV today either but I did DVR Smallville and Supernatural and taped Grey's Anatomy.
