Busy day

I cleaned the house this morning before doing anything else. Then I put the games on my new computer. All the Sims2 and 3 and Sim City 4 and Sim City Societies are on it. I have some tycoon games to add later on.
Then while stitching I uploaded more audiobooks to my laptop and listened to Dead In The Family by Charlaine Harris.
I finished SanMan Designs 2011 Winter Snow - just had to add the backstitching today.

Then I pulled out an ornament to finish . This was January Challenge #4 - JBW Designs.
Then Poof Hat by Ursula Michaels came out, since it is Halloween/Autumn/Thanksgiving Sunday
I also played Sims2 for an hour.
I watched Bones from Thursday and Friday's General Hospital.

Told you I had a busy day lol.

cross stitch finished

on San Man 2011 Winter Snow. All that is left is some backstitching.
Stitched on 28 ct Monaco. DMC thread.

In between folding laundry and washing laundry I managed some stitching in. Then the young man who was building my computer came over to finish it. So tonight I loaded all my Sims2 and Sims3 games on it. Stitched whole doing that.
Fixed lasagna for my in laws and  stitched there while watching Starz westerns with my MIL. Scott watched TV with his dad in the other room.  Justin also went with us.
Well time for bed.
Night all!

Friday SAT

I haven't gone out for dinner, with my husband, in a long time. So tonight we went to one of our favorite restaurants that serves a great Prime Rib. I had a glass of wine, shrimp cocktail and cajun prime rib. MMMM.

Then we came home and I sat and stitched all night. I watched a movie on LMN and it had John Stamos in it. I don't know what it was since it was a Viewers Choice movie and that is all it gave for info. It was really good.
So here is San Man 2011 Winter snow freebie SAL

Depending on how tomorrow goes, I plan on finishing this. I do need to run 2 errands tomorrow and I have to make lasagna for my inlaws dinner. I also have the computer guy coming to finish my computer. Oh and I realized I have a couple loads of laundry to fold yet lol.

San Man start

I picked up my first pair of glasses today. They are for reading and cross stitching. I wear them on the perch of my nose so I can look up over them to watch TV. Wow, what a difference. I still had perfect vision in my left eye. My right eye was just a tad off. He said I didn't need bifocals yet so this was good. I wore them tonight and my eyes don't feel strained now.
I went to Weight Watchers and lost 4.6 lbs, woohoo!!! Hoping for close to 1 lb next week.

Tonight I started San Man 2011 Winter Snow freebie from the San Man board. You have to be a member to get the freebie. It is done on 32 ct white evenweave.

I watched The Vampire Diaries and then Nikita tonight.
Also today I listened to my audiobook, Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris.

Cat towel finished

We weren't busy at work today so I left at noon. Met Scott in town and we got subway subs to go. Then I took a nap this afternoon. I must have needed it.
I am so far behind on reading all of your blogs and I feel guilty. I had hoped to do that this afternoon but the nap won.
Once I read my emails and got caught up on BBs then I pulled out my stitching and my audiobook.
I finished cat towel. I stitched it all with DMC 554. I can not tell you the designer as it is in another language lol. It is a freebie though and I did this as a SAL on a BB.
I also watched General Hospital. The audiobook that I was listening to, is Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris. The latest book of the Sookie Stackhouse series.

The next cross stitch piece is a San Man freebie but you have to belong to the BB in order to get it. It is the January SAL.

Tonight my eyes are a little wonky so I am hoping that my glasses come in soon.

Thank you all for your comments. I appreciate them :-)

cat towel and Medium series finale

I am trying to get past yesterday. Still very mad about the situation but can't let it eat me up.  Doing my job and that is it.

I stitched all night while watching TV. I watched 3 episodes of General Hospital, House and last Friday night's Medium series finale. It was sooo good. The ending got me though and I cried through like the last 10-15 minutes. I know, I am a wuss lol.

So here is how much more I got done on the towel.
Thank you everyone for all of the comments. I appreciate them all.

In a bad mood

I was in a good mood til about 2pm.

When I first got up I went out to warm up my car. My drivers door is frozen so I open the passengers side and start the car and put the heat on. After a few minutes I brush off all the snow and can get the driver's door open. Now my tires are frozen to ice. My car will not go forwards or in reverse. I rocked and rocked that car and all it did was spin the tires. I call Scott to come save me lol. He pushes my car and it still will not budge. So he takes me to work. Justin said he will pick me up when he is done with classes. He also will take me grocery shopping on the way home. Cool, great kid.
Now for almost 2 years I have been working 32-37 hours a week. I work part time, huh? So my manager talks to the main manager and says to him that I should be full time and get my full time benefits. All I want is the full time vacation pay instead of part time. Nope, he won't do it. We will hire another part time person so that we have 1 full time and 2 part time. I have no problem working full time and have been doing it. I won't get compensated at all for everything that I do. We have been really busy so I left at my regular hour even though the work wasn't done. Why should I bust my ass and be told they won't change me to full time status. I love my manager and we get along great. She always sticks up for me and I stay to help her and to keep the clients happy. I am very grateful to have a job but I don't think that I am asking for anything that I shouldn't get.

So I paid the bills I had to and I didn't have time to go to the library, to cross stitch with the ladies. I did watch Pretty Little Liars and started this new freebie. I could not tell you who the designer is since none of it is in English. I am doing this as a challenge piece on a BB.
Oh yeah, and the pipes in my kitchen have been frozen all day, so the water won't go down the drains. temps have been below zeroF.

I hope tomorrow is much better.

My favorite show to always watch was regis!. I never missed a show til I started working. almost 4 years ago. So when I finally decide to start DVRing it then I find out he won't be on anymore. I watched it Friday with Ashton Kutcher, it was funny, Today was boring as this week is with DJs cohosting. I miss my Regis.

Poof Hat

It was a crazy weekend. Friday night I stitched a little bit of Rocky Mountain Christmas by Marty Bell but no pics. I am using the new computer and I don't have the camera hooked up to it yet. So please bear with me this week. It is also to large for the scanner. I didn't get any stitching in yesterday as a lot of running around was going on lol. Today I went shopping with my mom and sister. They had never been to the Walden Galleria Mall and I love it and so did they. Next time they want to go to the Carousel mall in Syracuse. Anyways I bought 2 shirts on clearance for $7 each. Bath and Body Works had their hand soaps on sale, 5 for $15 so I bought 5 different fragrances. Plus they had these cute fuzzy socks on sale so I bought red and purple ones for Valentines :-) . Yankee candle didn't have tarts on sale so I only bought 2. JC Penney had cute purple earrings and they had a rose in them so I bought those. We went to Bravo's for lunch. I had a seafood pasta dish that was awesome.

Came home and stitched on Poof Hat. I also finished listening to Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris and started Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris.

Please don't mind the picture. I can't crop with the program on the new computer and I need to install the program that i usually use with my pics.

more color

The past couple of days, at work, have been weird. Catching ourselves doing stupid things.
Came home and the graphic card for my gaming computer came in. Now everything is here and the young man will be here around 6pm tomorrow, to put it together.Woohoo!

We are supposed to get 2"-3" of snow tonight. Yuck!
I stitched some more on HAED QS Fragile Heart. I will be putting it away til next month.

I also was listening to Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris. I am almost done. Plus I watched Bones, tonight. I read that Fox is debating whether to renew this show and House for next season. Tomorrow night is the series finale of Medium :-(

Tomorrow and Saturday I will be working on my oldest UFO, Rocky Mountain Christmas by Marty Bell. It's about 1/2 done.

Oh yeah, I needed 7 more Sims2 Cds, stuff and expansion packs. I ordered them on half.com and 3 came in today. Free Time, Kitchen and Bath, and Mansion & Garden. Woohoo!

Wacky Wednesday

I had my eye appointment today. My left eye still has perfect vision and my right is just a tiny blurry. I just need reading glasses for now. He did find a small cataract but nothing to worry about at this time. I picked out pretty glasses. Scott is getting bifocals, he also had his appointment.

Came home and UPS pulled up with most of my shipment for my new gaming computer. I love Sims 2 and Sims 3, Sim City 4, Sim City Societies, Roller Coaster Tycoon2 and 3, Sea Worlds, Zoo World and a few others. I needed a new computer and since I have a laptop that I can use for all my online then I have someone building me a gaming computer. I even ordered a 22" widescreen monitor. Everything came in today but the graphics card and that will be in tomorrow or Friday. I am so excited.

Sat down tonight and stitched some more on HAED QS Fragile Heart. I also was listening to Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris.

All black still

I stitched more of the black on HAED QS Fragile Heart. Tomorrow night I am going to fill in the top left areas so I can get some color in there. I am liking this piece despite all the black stitches. Now I know why the chart says we need 4 skeins of 310 lol.

Tonight I watched General Hospital and then Pretty Little Liars.
After I watched those I then listened to Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris. I am on disc 2 now.

Tomorrow I have my eye appointment. Wish me luck!

Thank you everyone for all the comments. They help keep me motivated.

HAED SAL

Since there wasn't mail today, we were not busy at work. We did a little recycling and then I left early. Spent a little bit of time with Dylan before he went back to PA. I did a 1 mile walk with Leslie Sansone's DVD. Then I stitched quite a bit on HAED QS Fragile Heart. I would have moved faster but my eyes just are not up to par anymore so doing 1 over 1 on 25 ct was a little slow. I have an eye appointment on Wednesday.
This is what i have done so far.
I watched General Hospital and House tonight.
I wanted to listen to Under The Dome by Stephen King but the playaway that I received from the library, isn't working right. I have the book here so eventually I will read it. So I pulled out my ipod and will listen to Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris. My New Year's resolution is to try and get 1 audiobook listened to every week.

Halloween Sunday - Poof Hat

While stitching I was doing laundry and then went grocery shopping.
I stitched on Poof Hat by Ursula Michael.
I started listening to Under The Dome by Stephen King. It is 34 hours long.
I also watched Aliens In The Attic which was a silly movie. Then I watched Desperate Housewives. Hmmm so who did shoot Paul?
This week I will be stitching on HAED QS Fragile Heart.

Crazy January Challenge #15

This is the last day! Now to finish them all this year :-) This has been fun and am hoping to do it again next year.
This is By The Full Moon - Ink Circles, out of the JCS 2010 Halloween issue. It is stitched on 40 ct and let me say, I have no idea how those of you stitch on this. It is crazy lol. I do have an eye appointment on Wednesday and it will be the first pair of glasses that I have ever needed. Last year my eye sight started going a little.
I used my new vacuum today and loved it! Just take the canister off and dump it. I dumped it after I vacuumed each room and then when done I washed it out. No more bags!
I ordered the parts for a new gaming computer and have someone building it for me. Can not wait :-)

Fixed Pulled pork for my in laws tonight. I have been asked to fix them their dinner every Saturday night. I can just warm up what is in their fridge/freezer but since I have to cook for Scott and I then I might as well cook it and then take it to their house and eat with them. They said they like everything so not sure what is next weekend, yet.

Tomorrow I will be stitching on an Halloween piece. Not sure if I want to work on Poof Hat or finish something that I started in December and would be from the Up For a Challenge category. I am thinking finish the one and then work on Poof Hat.

night all,
Shelleen

Crazy January Challenge #14

I can't seem to get warm enough. I am so tired of this cold weather. Supposed to be cold and snowy tomorrow. Scott and I needed a new vacuum so I bought a Hoover canister cyclonic bagless. Will try it out tomorrow.
We took Justin out for supper and I had a broiled haddock with shrimp and crab flakes with melted pepper jack cheese, mmmmm. Plus I had a bowl of New England Clam Chowder.
Came home and stitched on Stitchy Kitty St. Paddy's Moon's Shamrock Paw fob. This is stitched on 28 ct cashel Millenium Blue.
Tomorrow I will be fixing dinner for my inlaws and am going to do pulled pork so getting ready to put that in the crockpot, mmmm.
Dylan came home for the weekend. It is good to see him. Last night Justin told me that he is moving out and getting an apartment with friends. Since he has the bigger bedroom then I am moving my craft room in there. But not for a few months. I want to make sure it works out for him. Our bedroom is bigger than that but his room is bigger then my craft room. I am so proud of my boys :-)
Well off to get my last challenge piece kitted up and ready for tomorrow. See you all tomorrow night.

Crazy January Challenge #13

It has been snowing all day, well at work anyways. It wasn't snowing at home til tonight. Big fat flakes :-)
Did up some laundry and cleaned the kitchen a little.
Justin has informed me that he is moving into an apartment with at least 1 friend, maybe 2. I am happy for him. What a huge change for me, with both boys moved out. Scott works 3rd shift and doesn't eat supper with me so lots of changes in cooking. No more having to have snacks in the house and deli meat lol. If it works out then my craft room will get moved again as that is the bigger bedroom. But I told him I would wait a few months in case he can't afford the apartment.
Now onto tonight's stitching. I started Stitchy Kitty Easter Kitty Moon's Easter Egg Paw fob. Done on 28 ct linen, light green, with DMC and Kreiniks.
Only 2 more days of this challenge and then onto a couple of small SALs and my HAED and UFOs. This will be a good year, I can feel it :-)

I watched Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice was supposed to be on but they put a new show on instead , not very happy here.

Crazy January Challenge #12

What a crazy snowy day here. We have several inches of snow with more on the way and snowy for several more days.
I started JBW Designs A Very Merry Autumn, done on 28 ct Lambswool. This was really fun to stitch and can't wait to get back to it, in my rotation.

Tonight I watched:
Today's General Hospital
Netflix - The Kids Are Alright
Audiobook finished: From Dead To Worse by Charlaine Harris. Next will be Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris.

Thanks dear friends for all the comments. I have enjoyed doing these challenges but can't wait to get to HAED SQ Fragile Heart and then to start the Up For a Challenge and start working on my UFOs.

We have a storm advisory until 5 pm wednesday. Justin came home from work, around 10 tonight and said they need to rename our road to Drift road lol. Scott already said he would take me to work tomorrow. He is a great guy!
So tonight I sat and stitched on the new challenge: Shepherd's Bush Autumn. I have had this in my stash for years. Stitched on 18 ct Lambswool. Very fun to stitch.
Tonight I watched yesterday's and today's General Hospitals and then last night's Pretty Little Liars. Then went and sat in my cross stitch room and listened to From Dead To Worse by Charlaine Harris. Justin bought me an ihome for Christmas so I have it set up in my room. Was in my nice recliner with a few cats settled down with me :-)

Crazy January Challenge #6

Work wasn't to busy so I got to leave at noon. Came home and read a bunch of blogs, commented on quite a few of them. I had weight watchers at 5 so I headed out. The sun was shining here but in Batavia it was snowing pretty good. Now this is where I was conflicted. As most of you know, I hate driving in the snow and avoid it whenever I can. So my ying and my yang were at it. Ying said should you turn around and forget it. Yang said no because you really need to go. Ying then said ok, but we are just going to get weighed and not stay for the meeting. Yang said you will only be there for an hour so you will be fine. Ying said yeah but you know how the weather can get in just an hour. Yang said and you drove in this on Tuesday and you were fine. So Yang won. I stayed for the meeting that I really needed. There were around 50 women there. A lot were joining and some haven't been there in a long time and starting the New Year with a New You. I gained a little bit so I stopped at the store and grabbed some more fruit, celery and salsa. Weight Watchers Pitas and cheeses. I am set for awhile. I can do this. When I had left Batavia it had stopped snowing, so I am glad that I listened to Yang. But when I was driving home it was nasty where I live. All was fine though. Came home and fixed supper. Used my scales , measuring cups and spoons again. They are my Pals for weight watchers.

Sat down and stitched all night while watching Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.

JCS 2003 With My Needle's A Needleworker's Pocket
32 ct Silkweavers
WDW Crimson

This will be May's ornament.

I am enjoying all the comments that you are leaving, thank you so much!!

Crazy January Challenge #5

I got my new toy today. The Blackberry Curve. Was playing with it and trying to figure things out.
I started the new challenge, The Sampler House - Symbolic "X" Christmas ornament
While stitching I was listening to All Together Dead by Charlaine Harris. I have been stitching more in my craft room. Justin bought me an ihome for Christmas so I listen to my ipod through that and it also charges it.

I have Weight Watchers on Thursday and afraid to see what I gained over the holidays :-( Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Crazy January Challenge #4 and finished

Someone turned on that snow machine again. You at least could have waited til I got home from work. Batavia's roads were a little snow covered, Le Roy didn't have any plows out and no one has touched our road yet and it has been snowing on and off for 10 hours. We have a couple of inches already. Scott just called me, from work. He said Leroy's main roads were clear but still no plow on our road. How nice.
So I have stayed in, fixed dinner for Justin and I. Then him and I sat and watched yesterday and today's episodes of General Hospital and then last nights Pretty Little Liars. I started my January #4 challenge and finished it.
JCS 2001 JBW Designs Noel Wreath
GAST

Tomorrow is another ornament for the challenge, but I do know that I won't finish it tomorrow :-0

Thank you all for the comments. They mean so much to me. Now I am off to read some blogs.

Crazy January Challenge #3

Since the weather was nice and I wasn't tired from work, I went to the library to stitch, with the knitting group. Only one lady showed up tonight. So I started Merry Christmas To Thee from From Merry's Heart , out of the JCS 2000 issue. I will put this away for my March ornament.
When I got home from work I watched Cristina Ferrari , on the OWN and it was pretty good.
Then tonight I watched an episode of organizing  cluttered home, on OWN. After that I listened to All Together Dead by Charlaine Harris.

I want to thank all of you for reading my blog and leaving comments. It means alot to me.

Crazy January Challenge #2

This morning I ordered a Blackberry Curve and it should be here tomorrow.
Dylan and I went grocery shopping before he headed back to PA. He left here around 4:30 so I should be hearing from him anytime now, that he made it back ok.

Today's challenge piece was Chessie's Tree by Chessie & Me out of the 1999 JCS ornament issue. I got most of it done but will finish it in February as my ornament finish that month.
While stitching I watched:
DVR movie- Shorts - it was ok
TV: Extreme Home Makeover
Desperate Housewives

Tomorrow's challenge will be another ornament.

January 1 challenge finished and started a new HAED SAL

January 1 started out taking down all the decoration and the tree. House is back to normal. It was a Pj day and I didn't do anything with my hair and put no makeup on*gasp* Good thing I had no company. I had the TV on the new channel OWN for Oprah Winfrey Network. I watched a few of the shows and really liked them. O also watched a movie on the DVR - Arthur and the Invisibles, which was very cute. I had a venison roast going in the crock pot and I baked potatoes. So no fussing in the kitchen.
I had Justin draw a number to see what UFO I would be stitching on til done. He chose #11. It is a The Cross Stitcher Joan Elliott Spring Angel. I started it last Spring and haven't touched it again. I also will be working on another UFO which is #1 - Marty Bell Rocky Mountain Christmas, as it was started January 2001 and I want it finished, so doing this as a SAL with my Stitching Sisters Yahoo group.

Yes, that is right. I started and finished project #1 in the Crazy January Challenge. I picked an ornament and it stitched up quick.
JCS 1998 Lizzie Kate - O Christmas Treats
32 ct Navy Blue, GAST , buttons
1/1/11-1/1/11

Then I pulled out another new start. HAED QS Fragile Heart. This is a SAL with the HAED BB.
HAED Hannah Lynn QS Fragile Heart- SAL
25 ct, DMC

Let's see what I accomplish on January 2 :-)
