wondered what happened to friends? They just stop talking or disappear from your life. I had a very close online friend for years and she is active online but no longer talks to me. I have no idea why, we never had a fight or argument. I email her and never get a reply back. I even have a new email account because she would never get my emails from my old account and still nothing. We used to talk on the phone once in a while and then I stopped calling because she was always busy. I miss my friend but I guess life goes on and new friendships form. I was in her life for a reason at that time. anyone else ever feel like this?
Yup, it's happened to me a few times too...no reason...no idea...
ReplyDeleteCan't explain it...seems a shame, though...life is too short...
It's happened to me too. It hurts when you don't have a clue what went wrong.
ReplyDeleteI think it happens to everyone, but it's always painful, regardless, especially when you don't know why. But you never know what's going on with someone. Sometimes they're going through really bad times that they don't want to talk about, so they avoid the friends they're close to. Sometimes perseverance pays off and sometimes not. It is a shame; life is short & friends are a priceless treasure.
ReplyDeleteyeah...I know what you mean....
ReplyDeletebut......anytime you wanna talk...you have my number! (I HOPE we've become friends!)
Oh guess what? I move into my new apartment on Nov 1....YAY!!!

There is a woman who retired from my office that I have kept in touch with. I e-mail her, it will go back and forth for a bit, and then she stops. Next thing I know, she is complaining to someone else that I never e-mail, when I was the last to be in contact.
ReplyDeleteI seem to have many friends like that. They are good for a response or two, and then nothing.
I hope taht your other friends are making up for your one friend's negligence.
Well, you KNOW this has happened to me ... it is a shame & hard to understand, but it's not you ... it's whoever isn't responding to you. We all know you're a wonderful woman!
ReplyDeleteI think it happens a lot. In my experience, I've had online friends that I talked to ALL the time and then *poof* gone. It's a shame, really. And painful.
ReplyDeleteSorry this happened but know you have friends that will be there for you.
ReplyDeleteI used to think that one kept friends for life. But one doesn't. Some come for a season. Sometimes you need them. Sometimes they need you. Sometimes it's mutual. Sometimes it's simple accident that you know each other. It doesn't matter that it doesn't last. My philosophy is that one cherishes what's had at the time and moves on with no regrets afterward.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel down. Just remember the good times and know that you were loved for a while.
