Author: Brenda Novak
ISBN: 9780778308256
Publication Date: October 29, 2019
Publisher: MIRA BOOKS
BOOK SUMMARY:
Come home to Silver
Springs for the holidays, where broken hearts learn to love again...together.
So much for forever.
When Elle Devlin's rockstar husband ditches her on his way to the top, she
takes her two daughters to her sister's place in Silver Springs for the
holidays, hoping family can heal her broken heart. But comfort comes in
unexpected packages when she crosses paths with Tobias Richardson.
The moment Tobias spots
Elle, he recognizes a sadness he knows all too well. After spending thirteen
years in prison paying for his regretful past, Tobias is ready to make amends,
and maybe helping Elle is the way to do it. But offering her a shoulder to cry
on ignites a powerful attraction, and a desire neither saw coming.
Fearing her reaction,
Tobias doesn't divulge his ex-con status, let alone the shameful details. So
when Elle's ex shows up in Silver Springs and reveals the truth in a bid to win
her back, Tobias is sure he's lost her for good. But, just maybe, this
Christmas he'll receive the forgiveness—and the love—he deserves.

MY REVIEW:
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Harper's husband, Axle is a rock star and has asked for a divorce. She is devastated and they have 2 daughters to raise. His career seems to be more important than his family. Even though Harper has been there since the beginning and has supported everything.
Harper goes to visit her sister for the holidays and her daughters are thrilled to be there with their cousins. Harper is still hurting over the divorce and still loves Axle. She ends up meeting Tobias. He sees a sadness in her and he knows how that is since he spent 13 years in prison.
They get to know each other and a desire for each forms into more than friendship. But he is afraid what will happen when she learns about his past.
Then Axle shows up to win her back and finds out about Tobias's past and lets her know.
He is hoping she will forgive him and they can be happy together.

Summary:
USA TODAY bestselling author Sheila Roberts takes readers to
a small, snowbound town, where a young woman fights to save her family’s
charity that brings Christmas to families in need, and a stranded millionaire
loses his heart and finds the true meaning of Christmas.
Sometimes you need to look beyond the big picture to see
what really matters
Olivia Berg’s charity, Christmas from the Heart, has helped
generations of families in need in Pine River, Washington, but this year might
be the end of the road. Hightower Enterprises, one of their biggest donors
since way back when Olivia’s grandmother ran the charity, has been taken over
by Ebenezer Scrooge the Second, aka CFO Guy Hightower, and he’s declared there
will be no more money coming to Christmas from the Heart.
Guy is simply being practical. Hightower Enterprises needs
to tighten its belt, and when you don’t have money to spare, you don’t have
money to share. You’d think even the pushy Olivia Berg could understand that.
With charitable donations dwindling, Olivia’s Christmas
budget depends on Hightower’s contribution. She’s focused her whole life on
helping this small town, even putting her love life on hold to support her
mission.
When Guy’s Maserati breaks down at the edge of the Cascade
foothills, he’s relieved to be rescued by a pretty young woman who drives him
to the nearby town of Pine River. Until he realizes his rescuer is none other
than Olivia Berg. What’s a Scrooge to do? Plug his nose and eat fruitcake and
hope she doesn’t learn his true identity before he can get out of town. What
could go wrong?
MY REVIEW:
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Olivia's charity, Christmas From the Heart needs donations and every year Hightower Enterprises has always come through for them. But she has deemed the CFO, Guy Hightower, a scrooge as he will not give this year.
Guy's company doesn't have the finances they had and she won't take no for an answer and keeps bugging until she gets the hint and deems him a scrooge.
Olivia does everything she can for the town to raise money for people in need.
Then Guy's car breaks down and he is relieved to be picked up by a beautiful woman since cell service is bad in the area. As she is driving him to town he realizes who she is and so he keeps his identity from her.
This was so much fun to read. Olivia and Guy both have a connection and he lies about his name and gets to know Olivia really well and her family and friends. He doesn't know what he will do when she finds out who he really is.
I received this from Harlequin for review.

Erika Sheriton is a surgeon and she is made to go on vacation. So she goes back home to Alaska to see her best friend, Cassie, who she hadn't had contact with in years. Little did she know she would run into Cassie's brother, Reed.
They have a sarcastic relationship but you know they are attracted to each other.
Reed works for a rescue company and Erika tags along being that she is a doctor. Her father is also a doctor and they were working on a program together but it seems he is moving along without her. Their relationship is not good since her mom passed away many years ago. Both are career driven.
I really enjoyed the storyline and getting to know these characters.
Thanks to Harlequin and NetGalley for this review.

Coming Home for Christmas by RaeAnne Thayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Elisabeth just disappeared 7 years ago. Her husband, Luke raised their 2 children on his own. He always thought she had committed suicide that night as she had been fighting post partum depression and had lost both of her parents and hadn't dealt well with the grief. People in town think that he had something to do with her disappearance and is now going to be arrested for her death. But a friend of his finds Elisabeth and lets Luke know where she is. So he drives for miles to confront her. She had changed her appearance and her name. He drags her back home to clear his name and then she can leave. But we find out she had been in a car accident years ago while returning back home and had lost her memory for a short time. Her children don;t want anything to do with her and are mad she had left them. They don't have many memories of her. As Luke finds out more of what had happened his heart warms back up to her as he had never gotten over her. Elisabeth felt she should stay away as the accident had caused some disabilities and she didn't want the family have to deal with them.
I enjoyed this book so much. Getting to know Elisabeth and the reasons why she left and stayed away I can understand why she thought she was doing the right thing.

MY REVIEW:
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Rosie is having a whirlwind Christmas wedding, in Aspen so her whole family is traveling there. Rosie's sister Katie is against marriage and thinks her sister is being to hasty and doesn't know the groom to be well enough. Rosie has always done spur of the moment things and they don't usually last so Katie thinks it is her job to talk her sister out of this. The best man Jordan interferes with her plans.
Meanwhile we are finding out the girls' parents are getting divorced but haven't told anyone yet. The groom's mom keeps setting them up on romantic jaunts. Will this change their minds about each other?
I really wanted to be there in person at the resort. How everything is described sounds like heaven.
Thank you to Harlequin and NetGalley for an ARC.

Book Summary:
Hearts are lighter and wishes burn a little brighter at
Christmas…
Elizabeth Hamilton has been lost. Trapped in a tangle of postpartum depression and grief after the death of her beloved parents, she couldn’t quite see the way back to her husband and their two beautiful kids…until a car accident stole away her memories and changed her life. And when she finally remembered the sound of little Cassie’s laugh, the baby powder smell of Bridger and the feel of her husband’s hand in hers, Elizabeth worried that they’d moved on without her. That she’d missed too much. That perhaps she wasn’t the right mother for her kids or wife for Luke, no matter how much she loved them.
But now, seven years later, Luke finds her in a nearby town and brings Elizabeth back home to the family she loves, just in time for Christmas. And being reunited with Luke and her children is better than anything Elizabeth could have imagined. As they all trim the tree and bake cookies, making new holiday memories, Elizabeth and Luke are drawn ever closer. Can the hurt of the past seven years be healed over the course of one Christmas season and bring the Hamiltons the gift of a new beginning?
