I haven't posted since April. I want to start posting every week again. I have a few friends who miss my posts. I won't promise that I will post every week but I do promise to post at least once a month.
So here is my year in review.
My grandson, Carson is now almost 11 months old and I love him to pieces. I see him at least twice a week and wouldn't want it any other way.
Scott and I have been in search for a puppy for a year now. Either free or small fee. German Shepherd or German Sheppard Rotti mix. Well a post on FB yesterday found me a German Shepherd/ Rotti mix that is now 4 weeks old and ready to take home Dec. 23. I told them I am definately taking a female and put one on hold for me. We will go next Saturday to check them out and to pick one so we have to take a collar with us. I can not tell you how excited I am.
I also found out in July that I have diabetes. Since then I changed my eating and have lost 33 lbs. My numbers are now to where someone without diabetes is. I am thrilled.
I haven't read much or listened to a lot of audiobooks. I did read 2 series by K. R. Whittaker that I loved. They are only available as ebooks.
I have stitched a lot as well.
I have been DVRing all the new Christmas movies that have been on Lifetime and Hallmark and will start watching them soon. Right now I am getting caught up on The Chew. I am almost a month behind on those. I watched a lot of them while on Thanksgiving break. I also am having a parathyroid removed on Wednesday so I am hoping I can stitch and watch a lot of The Chew Thursday and Friday and again next Sunday, Then onto the Christmas movies.
So I just finished stitching on HAED SK Butterflies Galore and that is put away for awhile and this month is AAN Butterfly. Next year I am doing 15 Miras in 15. So we pick any 15 Mirabilias or Nora Corbett patterns and stitch a different one January 1 - 15 and then try to finish as many as possible. You can also count the freebies and UFO/WIP that we have. I only have Winter Queen started so I will stitch on that and will be my first finish for next year. This group is on FB. Should be fun.
Congratulations on your good health and weight loss! It's not easy to be sure! Glad to see that you're back posting!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you posting again. Great news about your diabetes too... so much better to control by diet and exercise. Good luck with your surgery....happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteI am so thrilled that you are posting again...YEAH! Your WIP is looking good.
ReplyDeleteI wish you the best of luck with your surgery on Wednesday...you will be stitching and maybe reading a lot while you are recovering from this. I will be thinking of you on Wed.
Have fun stitching on all of the Mira's...that should be a lot of fun.
Happy Stitching
