Zarya must become the darkness…

Soaring through the sky to the frozen mountains of Andhera, Zarya knows that only she can save her home from annihilation. Ruthless armies hunt her friends and toxic dark magic spreads through the land, consuming all it touches. To fight back, she and Rabin must find dangerous new allies.

In a palace of black marble, Zarya finally meets her father—the mysterious Raja Abishek. She approaches warily. For years she was told to fear this man, that he seeks to steal her power. But Abishek welcomes her with open arms, with gifts and lavish celebrations.

Rabin is sure the king can help them, turning the tide of war and decay. And when the magic binding Zarya’s heart to Rabin begins to fail, only Abishek can offer a cure. Zarya dreads the thought of placing their lives in his hands… But can she hesitate, when Rabin might be torn from her forever?

As Zarya makes her choice, ancient magic breaks loose, and her world shatters. In a ruined and long forgotten city, her love for Rabin will be tested to its limits. An army of shadows marches against her, destroying all in its path, and everything Zarya loves will be lost, unless she can face the darkness inside her—and release its devastating power.

An absolutely gripping fantasy romance that’s perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Rebecca Yarros, and Carissa Broadbent, Queen of Shadows and Ruin is the epic final volume in the Nightfire Quartet.

MY REVIEW:

Queen of Shadows and Ruin (The Nightfire Quartet, #4)Queen of Shadows and Ruin by Nisha J. Tuli
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The last book of the series and it did not disappoint. The story moved right along and kept me engaged the whole time.
Zarya finally meets her father, She wasn't sure what to think as she had been told for years that he was not a nice person at all. I didn't trust him and kept yelling at the book for her to be careful lol.
She did not tell him that Rabin and her were married. They wanted to wait for the right time. He raised Rabbin for quite a few years and was Rabin's mentor.
I loved Yasen ad Miraan. Miraan s a royal and Yasen doesn't think he is good enough for him but these 2 together were perfect.
Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for the book to review.

Blog Tour: Bloodlust Curse by Luanne Bennett

I’m Charley Underwood. I run the best bar in Crimson, Georgia… when I’m not kicking demons and vampire thugs out of town.

A local witch has been murdered. Even worse, it looks like the killer stole her magic, draining it away in a bloody ritual.

Who would play with the darkest kind of magic like this? And what are they planning to do with the power they took?

When the killer targets my mentor Candy, and the dangerous trove of enchanted objects in her shop, it’s time to gather Crimson’s witches and prepare for war.

But as we plan our response, I can’t shake the feeling that the others are hiding something from me. Could these attacks be connected to my mother’s magic? And her mysterious death two years ago?

Nothing will stop me from digging up the truth. Because this isn’t just personal. It’s family.

MY REVIEW:

Bloodlust Curse (Charley Underwood #3)Bloodlust Curse by Luanne Bennett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am loving this series so much. It has Vampires, witches, werewolves, shapeshifters and some romance.
Charley owns a bar that was her mom's. I don't want to spoil to much in case you didn't read the other books but please do as they are funny at ties and you can read them n one sitting.
A local witch was murdered and the heart was left for Charley.
As things keep happening Charley's mentor, Candy, and some of the other witches, keep telling her things that they have been keeping from her. she is tired of all the secrets.
Thank you to Second Sky and NetGalley for the book to revew.

Blog Tour: Her Hiding Place by Shannon Hollinger

As I turn the key in the lock, I tell myself that I’m a good mother. I’m doing this to keep my little girl safe. No one knows she’s hidden in my room, or who I really am. But if they ever did, we’d have to run for our lives.

As I push my cleaning cart around this luxury hotel, I try to tell myself I’m doing the right thing. I look just like any other maid. No one even notices me. But I see and hear everything

I breathe a sigh of relief when I close my door behind me. I’ve made it through another day without anyone discovering that I’m hiding my toddler Alice in my room.

I know the other staff would judge me for keeping her locked away. But I have no choice. They have no idea what we’re running from. And if anyone sees her, we’ll need to run again.

I thought this remote resort was far enough from my past, and we could finally start over. But our hiding place is shattered when one of the other maids is killed. It feels too familiar. And deep down I know—this is a message for me.

Someone here knows about my past. And when I run back to my room to check on Alice, my blood turns to ice when I find she’s gone.

How far will I have to go to get my child back? And what will happen when they find out who Alice really is…?

MY REVIEW:

Her Hiding PlaceHer Hiding Place by Shannon Hollinger
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was hooked on this book from the very beginning It takes place on island and a major hurricane is about to hit. It goes back and forth from the present to the past and is clearly titled on the pages to let you know.
Charlotte is on the run with her 3 year old daughter , Alice. She gets a job at a resort but keeps her daughter a secret so she can keep her job. They are given a room in the attic , where Alice has to play quietly while Charlotte is working.
We know they are from an abusive relationship but from who exactly we aren't sure.
Charlotte becomes friends with 2 of her co workers and finally confides in one of them.
I enjoyed the story and getting to know the characters. I didn't trust one of them and I was right on that one. Was a couple of twists towards the end which I didn't see.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the book to review.
