another block and a half done

Today started worrying about my dog. He has just been acting weird. He is eating and going to the bathroom ok but he seemed to be moping and when DH touched him he yipped. I noticed the change in him yesterday but, like my kids, I was going to give him 2 days. DH works nights so the dog always sleeps with me, curled up next to me. An 83 lb rottie/shepherd mix, who is a big baby. Last night he wouldn't sleep with me, which is really strange. Today Scott was getting worried and told me to call the vet. So I got him in at 5pm. They thoroughly checked him over and could not find anything wrong with him. When we told her how the holidays were and no chocolate is ever left around and no plants in my house, he did have a ham bone but no throwing up from that. So she thinks he was just tired and his muscles were tired. See, my parents brought over their new dog, on Christmas day. They were playing all day. My dog is 10 1/2 years old and probably used some muscles he hasn't in a while. He is acting fine now. They did do some blood work, just as a precaution and will call me tomorrow. They don't think they will find anything. So I am feeling much better.

Dylan and his girlfriend had dinner with me and then we played a game of Phase 10.
The weather here was snowy and windy and very cold. It is 15F right now, bbrrr.

I did stitch a couple of hours tonight. I stitched up a block or two tonight on SK Rapunzel.

I watched Live with Kelly, General Hospital and another Christmas movie. Tonight's movie was Debbie Macomber's Trading Christmas. I loved it!

Today I listened to a few chapters of Port Mortuary by Patricia Cornwell and I also read a few chapters of The Finishing School by Muriel Spark.

Everyone stay safe and warm tonight.

Thank you for the comments and reading my blog. I have a few changes to make on here to get ready for 2012/

Page 4 QS Fragile Heart finished

I finished page 4 last week.
I can't wait to fit her in my 2012 rotation.

Tonight's progress on SK Rapunzel.
I did finish 2 blocks and started a 3rd. I will stitch on this all week. Then starting January 1 I will be doing a Crazy January Challenge with 15 new starts January 1 -15. They are all Halloween pieces.

Tonight I watched General Hospital and then Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage. It seems like every year when this is on, it coincides with something else I am watching. I DVrd it so I could watch it when I wanted to. Loved it!

I am getting ready to settle down with the book I am reading. The Finishing School by Muriel Spark.

We are in for some winter weather tomorrow and a warning for Lake Effect snow. Stay safe and warm everyone.

HAED progress

I have had a crazy month with longer hours at work, having to go to PA twice, for Dylan. While getting ready for Christmas. I hope that all of you had a great Christmas. Mine was really nice. I will post pics of Christmas day, hopefully tomorrow.

Today was spent doing a little after Christmas shopping. I had gotten a bonus from work and planned on buying things from my wish list, that I didn't get. So I went to FYI and bought some Nickelback CDs, Anneheim Steamrollers Christmas CD collections and Peanuts Holiday DVD collection.
Then came home and got caught up on BBs and Blogs. I did read all of my friend's blogs but I didn't lave many comments.
Then I sat and stitched while watching TV.

This is HAED SK Rapunzel.

Last week I finished page 4 of HAED QS Fragile Heart. I just looked and I never took a picture, so I will have to do that tomorrow as well.

I also have been reading again and I finished:
Secret Life of Damian Spinelli - Carolyn Hennesy
Smokin' Seventeen - Janet Evanovich
44 Charles Street - Danielle Steel
Explosive Eighteen - Janet Evanovich
Kill Alex Cross - James Patterson

Finished audiobook:
Scarpetta Factor - Patricia Cornwell

Started reading:
The Finishing School - Muriel Sparl

Started audiobook:
Port Mortuary - Patricia Cornwell

Goodnight everyone.

I'm Back

I didn't stitch at all last week. Well maybe an hour. I am feeling all better and have been busy.
Friday night I went to Bead Night at Michaels. It is not a class but just a place to bead with others. Besides the instructor, I was the only one there. I made a beautiful necklace, for me. I will have to post a pic this week.

Saturday I spent at a mall that I didn't like. But I was with friends and family. Some I haven't see in a very long time. So that was a plus. Sunday I went with Justin and Allie(Dylan's girlfriend) to the Walden Galleria Mall, as that is my favorite and have most of my Christmas shopping done. I also stitched on LK halloween Rules but I didn't take a pic.

Tonight I stitched on Joan Elliott's Christmas Angel. I really like this piece.
I am trying to get caught up on TV shows, on the DVR and have a few to watch online. Will take me a week or so lol.

I tried really hard to post

every day this month. Then I ended up getting sick and not stitching at all and sleeping a lot. So please forgive me. I am hoping to pick up the needle tonight but no promises.
I did go to the doctor's today and I have acute sinusitis and am on meds. Plus I got my flu shot.
Anyways even if I don't stitch tonight, I will be tomorrow, I hope lol.

Almost a row done

I was trying really hard but to tired to stitch and concentrate anymore, tonight. I made pretty good progress in 2 hours though.
I opnly have about another row of confetti and then blocks of areas where it isn't so dense.

Today was a cool, damp day with some rain. I feel like I am coming down with a cold . Not sure if it is the weather or my body is just tired from the busy week, at work.

When I left work I stopped, at Michaels, to see what night Bead Night was. It is next Friday from 6-8, for $5. It isn't a class but just a night to get together with other beaders. So I signed up for it. I also bought one string of beads and a book Beading 101. They also had all their Halloween decorations 80% off. How could I resist? I bought a couple of things and they were really cheap. So they are put away for next year.

Today I listed to some more of Scarpetta Factor by Patricia Cornwell. I feel that this one is just dragging and I am losing interest but I will finish it.

Tonight I watched The Vampire Diaries and Grey's Anatomy. They both were fall finales and will be back on after the holidays. I Dvrd Private Practice and The Secret Circle.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I am off to figure out why Sims3 has been lagging. May have to uninstall Pets and restall it. Pain in the butt!!!

Not much stitching today

Was a busy day today, at work.I got out a little late. When I was getting ready to leave, Justin txt me "California Rollin". Oh yes, definitely. So I txt my sister and Shelbi, want to go for sushi tonight? Neither one could so it was just me and Justin. Good food. Since we were out that way Justin also took me to the bead shop. I was in awe but it was expensive.I did buy a few things. Got home around 8pm. Justin wanted to watch the Country awards. I sat and watched General Hospital and Monday's Live With Regis and Kelly. So I did stitch a little bit but not much.

I will sleep good tonight!

Our new mattress set arrived. Mine was very old. Scott works nights so when he got into it earlier today he said he wanted to cry. It was so comfy and he wanted to know why we didn't get a new one sooner lol. Justin also has a new one so I am hoping he enjoys his as well.

I am very sore and tired again. Another super busy day at work. Tomorrow looks as busy already.

I didn't get a chance to read anyones blogs, sorry. I am not sure if I will tomorrow either.

Anyways I did manage to stitch a couple of hours on HAED SK Rapunzel. I put in over 100 stitches so I did accomplish a little on it.

I received an email from a stitching friend. It explained about a SAL so I joined. It is called 2012 WIPocalypse and is at Measi's Musings. I was already going to do something like this anyways so may as well join others. I am hoping she accepts me.

I am also doing a UFO/WIP challenge with my Stitching Sisters Yahoo group.

Tonight I watched:
General Hospital
Live with Regis and Kelly
Ringer

Audiobook: Scarpetta Factor-Patricia Cornwell

Well that is it for today. Thank you for reading and the comments. They are always welcomed and appreciated.

Work was busy again. Guess it is job security lol.

I have decided to do a little exercising and walking in place while reading emails, forums and blogs. I am on the computer almost 2 hours so it wouldn't hurt. Wore my pedometer and it said I walked 1 1/2 miles. Not to bad.

I watched:

Watched:
2 episodes Live with Regis and Kelly
Once Upon A time
Desperate Housewives

Saturday SAT

I stitched about 300 stitches in HAED QS Fragile Heart. It won't be pulled out again til December.

I watched a lot of my DVRd shows.
We ended up getting KFC for my inlaws. which was really good. My favorite is their biscuits. I can eat all of them by myself lol.

I was informed that my jewelry party orders came in. I am hoping to get them tomorrow. I am so excited but now I need some new shirts. Most of mine are t shirts and I would like some pretty plain colored ones that my jewelry will go with. Maybe for Christmas?

Also tomorrow will be grocery shopping day with Dylan and Allie. It is supposed to be warm and sunny and Dylan has promised to wash and wax my car.

Then stitching on LK Halloween Rules.

Thanks for all of your comments. I appreciate all of my friends.

No pic

I stitched for an hour but was more engrossed in the tv show I was watching

Today was an average day at work but I am still tired from yesterday. When I got home Scott and I decided to go buy Justin a new bed mattress. They were 50% off at Ruby Gordon's. Justin also didn't have to go into work so he went with us. Then guess what happened? Scott and I also bought a new mattress for our bed. He has a bad back so I told him to pick one out and the one he picked out was heavenly. The mattresses will be delivered on Tuesday.
After that we went to Ruby Tuesdays. I was craving a hamburger and don't usually order them. It was goood. Scott then took Justin and I to a liquor store that has great prices. So we bought 3 bottles of wine. MMMMM. So of course I had 2 glasses while stitching. Now I am really sleepy and ready for bed. I don't have to get up for anything, in the morning so I plan on sleeping in.
Oh yeah, Dylan came home for the weekend and is taking my car tomorrow for an oil change, and he is going to wash and wax my car.
I don't have plans for tomorrow besides feeding my inlaws their dinner. I will have to go to the store though for whatever I need to cook for them. So I plan on stitching most of the day.

Thank you everyone for all the comments. I appreciate them a lot.

To tired to post

but I am. I worked OT today and am very tired. It was crazy busy at work. I did ask at one point "it's Friday, right?" and was told no :-(
I didn't make it to weight watchers. The meeting starts at 5:15 and I didn't get out of work til 5:30. I could have just gone and gotten weighed but didn't have the energy to drive all the way there in the traffic. So I figured as much moving around and stuff that I did that I earned plenty of activity points. I was naughty and had loaded fries for dinner. I know, it was crazy and I haven't had them in over a year but they were good.

I also listened some more to my audiobook Scarpetta Factor by Patricia Cornwell. I am enjoying it.

Tonight I watched General Hospital, The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle. Also stitched some more on HAED QS Fragile Heart.

Thank you everyone for the comments, I appreciate that someone is actually reading my blog.

Fragile Heart progress

It was crazy at work today. Came home tired and now have a second breath of life in me lol but it is time for bed.
Anyways uploaded photos to my photobucket so I could share pics on the forums. Read blogs and updated my wish list at Heaven and Earth Designs. To find it, you have to type in my email.
Sat down to stitch and watched General Hospital. Last Friday's Live with Regis and Kelly. Then watched a new show, called Grimm, online. I just found out it started last Friday night on NBC so watched it online and must say I was hooked. Then tonight I watched Revenge on ABC.
Anyways I put in over 200 stitches again.
I know that you are probably thinking, "wow 2 posts in 2 days". Well yes, you see, it is NaBloPoMo. "What is that?", you are asking. It is National Blog Posting Month. You are supposed to TRY to post, on your blog, every day for the month, of November. I will certainly try.

Thank you for all the comments and on the suggestions for my naughty cat. She behaved today.

Over 200 stitches

Was put into HAED QS Fragile Heart, tonight.
Isn't she beautiful?

I am all caught up on blogs and hope to stay that way.

Tonight I watched:
General Hospital
couple of episodes of Regis & Kelly
The Ringer

My cat Ruby must be bored. She has been getting into trouble. 2 weeks ago she chewed the wire to a speaker, she chewed the wire that hooks my ipod to my computer and she chewed the telephone wire. She is almost 2 years old now and never did this as a kitten. She has toys and 2 cat houses. I am thinking I will need to get some more bird feeders by the windows and make sure they are filled. She is also a lovey cat and gets plenty of attention. She eats and acts fine. Today I caught her in the bathroom cabinet carrying out a roll of toilet paper lol. Silly girl.

Thank you everyone for the comments. You make blogging more fun and I can't believe that you actually read what I post :-)

Happy Halloween!!

Last week I stitched on Joan Elliott's Christmas Angel. I love stitching on her.
Yesterday I pulled out LK Halloween Rules. I am moving along on this one.

Friday night I went to Michael's to learn to make beaded jewelry. This class was using memory wire and I made a bracelet with autumn colors. Can't wait to make more.

Saturday was a PJ day for me. I stitched all day and watched TV shows on the DVR. Scott and Dylan had to go to NJ and pick up Dylan's bed and speakers. They were stored at a friend's house. When they got there the weather wasn't to bad but they got nailed with the snow storm, on the way back. They left around 3am and got home around 6pm. I took Scott out for dinner, since his birthday is today, yes a Halloween baby.

This week I will be stitching on HAED QS Fragile Heart and you know how much I love stitching on her.

Oh and another 2 lb loss in Weight Watchers, woot woot!!

Thanks for all the comments. I love them all. I was 2 weeks behind in reading blogs but yesterday I got caught up on most of them and I did some more today.

Halloween and Rapunzel

Last week I stitched on HAED Rapunzel and got quite a few blocks done on her. November and December I am going to stitch 2 weeks, on her, each month.

Saturday Scott and I went to the Public Market and I bought a lot of fresh fruit and veggies, salmon, swordfish steaks, pierogies and a couple of other things. Then I went and visited with my cousin, who is out from Colorado, this week. It was good to see him.

Sunday I went grocery shopping, with Justin, at our local Wegman's and went to their biggest grocery store. OMG I was amazed. I shop in their other grocery stores but never this big one. I could have spent all day in there lol.
I came home and did laundry while stitching and watching TV. I finished Scare A Crow in LK Halloween Rules. Next Sunday I will work on the border and the next chart.

Tonight I am watching TV and stitching on Joan Elliott's Christmas Angel.

Time has been flying by

I always want to post but never seem to have the time. The first thing that I want to say is I finished my last Crazy January Challenge of the year!! woohoo!! Here it is, Shepherd's Bush Autumn

The week before I stitched some more on HAED QS Fragile Heart, I just want to eat this one up lol. Just LOVE her!!!
Sunday was more stitching on LK Halloween Rules

This week is HAED Rapunzel and will post a pic soon of how I am doing on this one.

I finished the audiobook, Scarpetta by Patricia Cornwell and am now listening to Scarpetta Factor.

Justin bought Sims3 Pets expansion pack so I am learning how to play with that. I love Sims2 and Sims3 and I try to fit in an hour every day. Usually right before I go to bed.

I am co owner of a Yahoo group called Stitching Sisters. We are looking for new members who will be active and post at least once a week. We have SALs and Challenges but are not a requirement to be part of the group. It is a small group and used to be very busy but the last couple of years has been dead so we are revamping things and would love you to join. Please click on the link above and give us a try, we don't bite. Well.....maybe a nibble once in a while lol.

SB Autumn & LK Halloween Rules

I stitched on and off all week so some days didn't have anything to post. Here is how far I got done on Shepherds Bush Autumn. This is my last project of the Crazy January Challenge. It will be done by the end of the year :-)
Work has picked up and our busy season is now here. Putting in extra hours and coming home tired.

Has anyone started watching any of the new Fall shows? I watched Ringer with Sarah Michelle Gellar and it is really good. Also watched The Secret Circle on the WB and enjoyed that one as well.

Saturday I had my book cross meeting. Dylan and Allie went with me and then we went to the public market. I then went to my inlaws, as we fix them dinner and Scott makes sure his parents take their meds. I had fixed a big pot of goulash, on Friday night, so we heated that back up and I also cooked broccoli.

I haven;t been getting much sleep since my new neighbors, who moved in last summer, got a beagle. It bays all the time and through the night. By Friday night I had enough so Dylan went over and asked them to please do something about it. They said ok. It was quiet the rest of the weekend. So I went over today and thanked them. You would not believe what they told me. My cat and the stray grey one sit at the beagles fenced in area and stare at him all the time. That is why he is baying/barking. So I told them sorry and I am now keeping my cat in the house at night. As far as the stray, he doesn't get near anyone so the neighbor is going to try and set a trap and take it to a shelter or find a farm for it. I don't know how well my cat will like being made to stay in the house but to bad for him. All is quiet in the neighborhood tonight. My cat is sound asleep on the futon and will remain there.

Today I stitched on LK Halloween Rules. I watched 3 episodes of Live with Regis and Kelly, then 3 episodes of General Hospital. Then for the first time in months I sat in my craft room and listened to Scarpetta by Patricia Cornwell. I listened to it for about 2 hours and couldn't figure out why it was a little different then where I left off. It had gone to a different Patrica Cornwell audiobook. So that was a waste of time tonight lol.

QS Fragile Heart, LK Halloween Rules and more vacation pics

Geesh, I haven't posted here in a week. How did that happen? I stitched Monday-Saturday on HAED QS Fragile Heart
as you can see I finished page 3 and am now putting in gridding for the bottom half of this piece. I can not wait for next month to pull this out and stitch on it. Just love her face. I am thinking I should like at this artists other patterns.

Then today I pulled out LK Halloween Rules and finished Wear a Costume and started Eat Candy.
Friday I finished listening to Book of the Dead by Patricia Cornwell. Very good book.

Now onto more vacation pics. These are taken at the Museum of Nature in Ottawa. I had a blast there. 5 floors of fun and alot of walking.
The first exhibit was the dinosaurs, which I couldn't wait to see. This is Gail with some bones.
This was my favorite area of the museum. These dinosaurs and several others looked so real. I will add another one at the bottom of this post of me standing by some.
 So cute!

These snow rabbits were so lifelike and they even added things to look like they left a few things behind :-)
The birds were really neat as well. Some exhibits you could play the sounds of each bird. A lot of interesting facts.

This leaf is a brooch that was taken in the Earth exhibit. We thought we would be in and out of this exhibit as we didn't think we would be to interested in it. But one of the guides in there showed us all the jewels and the neat things about them. This leaf represents all kinds of things in Canada. The colors represented Provinces and the veins were rivers. They had a computer set up of a pic of each jewel and you could zoom in so close to the pieces that you could see colors that you couldn't see in the display. It was amazing.

Gail took this pic of me because she said I looked like a child in awe of what I was seeing. Made her smile.
I just couldn't get enough of these dinosaurs.

All day today I was watching a bunch of Hungry Girl episodes that I had DVrd. if you have never seen this show then I encourage you to. It is on Food Network Sundays at 10 am EST. I even cooked one of the recipes which Scott, Justin and I enjoyed.

Thank you all for reading and leaving comments, I appreciate them. I do have a couple more pics of a town we visited. I will leave them for another day.

progress and vacation pics

I have been stitching and enjoying the time off from yahoo groups and reading blogs.
Last week I stitched on Joan Elliot's Christmas Angel. From and old The Cross Stitcher magazine.
Today I stitched on more of LK Halloween Rules
Now onto some more of my vacation.
That Tuesday we took a cruise on the river and we also visited the Parliament building. We didn't get to close as a politician had died , so people were there for a memorial.

This is the Chateau Laurier Hotel

This is the Parliament building.

The Eternal Flame at the Parliament Building.

Parliament Building's Library.

Rideau Canal Locks at the Ottawa River.

While on the boat cruise we could see The Museum of Civilazation. I loved the building. I want to see this museum the next time I go.

Museum of Art. Which I also want to visit next time.

Well that is it for today. Blogger doesn't want to add more pics. It is taking to long. Thanks for looking and for the comments that you all have been leaving. I really appreciate it.

Back from vacation

I had a great time in Canada and have lots to tell you so I will take a few days to share. Tonight I will show you all my stitching I did.
Finished a Crazy January Challenge - JCS Halloween 2010 - By the Full Moon- Ink Circles

Then I pulled out HAED Rapunzel and stitched a few hundred stitches.

Then Sunday I pulled out LK Halloween Rules

I left my house on the 20th and it took me 5 1/2 hours to get to Gail's house. She lives in Metcalf, Ontario, Canada.  I drove by myself and didn't run into any problems.
Was glad to see Gail. Walked in to see her dog and cat. I won over the cat real quick ha ha. His name is Jake and he is a gorgeous cat

This is Gail and her dog Hanna
She is a sweet dog.
We went out for dinner at a local diner. Then went back to her house and I went online, and played Sims 3.

Sunday we went out for brunch at a racetrack/casino. It was really good. We went back to her house and I went through her mags and leaflets. I have a lot more than she does but she has a nice collection. It was a relaxing day.

Monday we went for breakfast at the Ikea store. We don't have one by me so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to shop at one. Yes, I did spend some money but not a lot. I bought 2 throw pillows for my couch, a really pretty lamp, some bag clamps, and a salad spinner.
Then I went through some more of her mags. Fell in love with the mags called Cross Stitch Card Shop and we did end up finding one in the book store so I now own one.

I will continue more of my vacation tomorrow. We went to Ottawa and I saw the Parliament Building and we went on a river cruise. So I will post more pics. I took a ton of pics the whole week.

Night all,
Shelleen
