I am Behind You by John Ajvide Lindqvist review

I Am Behind YouI Am Behind You by John Ajvide Lindqvist
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Four families wake up one morning in their caravans, next to their cars, on an ordinary campsite in southern Sweden. However, during the night something strange has happened. Everything else has disappeared, and the world has been transformed into an endless expanse of grass. The sky is blue, but there is no sign of the sun; there are no trees, no flowers, no birds. And every radio plays nothing but the songs of sixties pop icon Peter Himmelstrand.

As the holiday-makers try to come to terms with what has happened, they are forced to confront their deepest fears and secret desires, and in many cases expose the less appealing aspects of their character. Past events that they have tried to bury rise to the surface and take on a terrifying physical form.

I actually wanted to stop reading this. It was slow and boring. I got to the end and still do not know what the hell happened. I am so confused.

I received this ARC from the publisher for an honest review.

Ghost Virus by Graham Masterton review

Ghost VirusGhost Virus by Graham Masterton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Samira was a young woman with her whole life ahead of her. What could have brought her to this? DC Jerry Pardoe and DS Jamila Patel of Tooting Police suspect it's suicide. But then a meek husband kills his wife, and the headteacher of the local school throws her pupils out of a window. It's no longer a random outbreak of horrific crimes. It's a deadly virus. And it's spreading. Somehow, ordinary Londoners are being infected with an insatiable lust to murder. All of the killers were wearing second-hand clothes. Could these garments be possessed by some supernatural force?

The death count is multiplying. Now Jerry and Jamila must defeat the ghost virus, before they are all infected...

Seems that clothes have been possessed and on a killing spree. This book is very gory but well written. I did enjoy the story but felt it was dragged just a little bit. Also the ending left you hanging. I have heard of Graham Masterton but I had not read any of this books before. I was given this book from the publisher for a review.

The Rain by E.C. Fisher review

The RainThe Rain by E.C. Fisher
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A storm is raging. That’s merely one of Detective Daniel Nash’s troubles, Charlie Hamilton, the resident drunk and proprietor of Camp High Tide has mysteriously perished. After combing through old files, he learns that thirty years ago a young boy went missing. His body never discovered. He requests an interview with the five campers who were interrogated during that time.

The bodies of the suspects start piling up. Each death is similar and equally horrifying. Detective Nash must locate the suspects before the culprit has a chance to finish them off.

There is only 79 pages to this ebook so it was a quick read. The story starts out with Timothy being bullied at camp and what happens to him and the cover up. He told himself he would have revenge. It took 30 years to get his revenge. You find out what happened to his parents since his disappearance and the lives the bullies led since then.

I received this from NetGalley for an honest review.
