2 finishes!!

Woohoo!!! Quilt Sampler is done! Thank you for all that have been watching my progress on this and posting comments.
Friday night I started Bent Creek Zippies I Love My Country. I finished it last night after I finished the Quilt Sampler.

Friday night I watched Pursuit of Happyness with Will Smith and I really enjoyed it!! Last night DH(Scott) and I watched Here On Earth. Last week he had only seen the beginning and I had only watched the last half so we watched it all last night. Awesome movie.

I am still listening to The House by Danielle Steel and am halfway through. Very good.
Yesterday i also went to my Bookcross meeting. I had a lot of books for the others there and I took 3. Scott carried my bag of books inside for me though.

Today is Halloween Fairy and I am hoping to get a lot done on that. I am also going to see if I can get into my car today and then Dylan and I are going grocery shopping.

Quilt Sampler almost done

I stitched on this quite a bit today. I should be able to finish it on Saturday :-)
I listened some more to The House by Danielle Steel and it is very good.
Tonight's movie was one that I had DVRd 2 years ago from the Hallmark channel. It was McBride:Dogged. I always enjoyed that series of movies, sorry that they don't have them on anymore.
I am working on my trade/sale list and have an update on my sale/trade blog . I also would love to trade for audiobooks preferably on CD.

The Idiot called me again today. Seems that the doctor's office is not moving fast enough for him on faxing my return to work papers.

Quilt Sampler

I stitched some more on Quilt Sampler. I finished the last block and then stitched the little squares at the corners plus the PE.
I finished listening to Bungalow by Danielle Steel and I loved It!!
Started listening to The House by Danielle Steel, only up to chapter 3.
Tonight's Netflix movie was Knowing with Nicholas Cage. I gave this 5 stars. Kept me very interested from the beginning.

The Idiot(manager) called me today and He is so full of crap! Things have been straightened out for now. He probably won't even remember tomorrow and then it will start all over again. He seems to do that a lot at work. Thank god he works at the main lab so I don't ever see him.

Nothing else going on here. Just resting and walking and doing what i can.

Pissed off mood

I work at a forage lab that is a satellite from the main lab in another state. It is just me and the manager and someone filling in for now. Anyways we have a main manager at the main lab in the other state. Now I like the owner , my manager and what i do. I hate the main manager. he is such an idiot!! Today he called my manager and asked why i wasn't back at work yet. That according to HIS calendar I should have been back to work this week. He now wants a form faxed to him, from my doctor about my surgery and why I have to be out longer. I called him but of course he was out of the office so I left a very terse message for him. I had surgery and I have only been out for 3 weeks and I am to be out for 6 weeks. I will also have my doctor fax him when I will be back to work. Not only is this manager an idiot but they won't even pay me disability because I am only part time. So this put me in a very upsetting mood all afternoon which made me tired and ended up making my stomach hurt from the stress. I couldn't even pick up my cross stitching so I could relax. it took me 2 hours to calm down enough to sit and stitch. So I did work on Quilt Sampler for a few hours.

I am hoping to stitch on this tomorrow and Thursday and also to finish it on saturday. There is a reason i want to finish it on saturday and not any earlier. I stitch this as part of a SAL with Only One Ewe. We stitch together on saturdays and if we finish the piece on saturday then our name gets put into a drawing.

Anyways I also listened to Bungalow 2 by Danielle Steel. What happened in the book also depressed me because what happened in the storyline I was praying wouldn't and then it did. That didn't help my mood any LOL.

early afternoon I watched a movie with Scott called Here On Earth and we missed the beginning so I just ordered it from Netflix. The movie was so good. Then tonight I watched Gray Matters and I enjoyed that one as well.

I hope I can get sleep tonight and be calmed down in case the manager calls me. I can't even tell you all the crap that he has given us. He is supposed to be the owner's right hand man but they don't talk to each other so the owner will tell us one thing and the idiot tells us another.

Thank you for not stopping to read my vent. I don't do it often and I do appreciate all of my cyber friends.

This is a new pic of Molly. Since my operation I am supposed to keep a pillow on my stomach, which is a good thing since she loves to be on my lap all the time. So it is a challenge to cross stitch. I also have to train her better because she likes to yank at the floss and fabric when I am stitching. She doesn't do it often. She also wants the wires to my ipod, from my headphones. She will learn with time.
Today I finished listening to Toxic Bachelors by Danielle Steel and I loved this book.
I will be starting Bungalow 2 by Danielle Steel , tomorrow.
Yesterday I worked on Quilt Sampler and my goal is to finish it this month.
Today I stitched on Halloween Fairy by Nora Corbett. I got quite a bit done on her and I also want to finish her this month.

Not much went on today. Scott worked the morning shift at the station and Dylan worked the 2nd shift. Justin had to be at his job twice today but he still managed to hang out with friends and as of now, 11pm he is still out. He is pretty good at being home around midnight even though he doesn't have a curfew. He also will wake me up to let me know he made it home.

Thank you for reading my blog and for those that leave comments. That means a lot to me.

Yesterday I stitched some more on this. I am hoping to finish it next month.

My parents stopped by for a visit. It was nice to see them as their health hasn't been the greatest.

Today is Halloween Day so I will be stitching on Halloween Fairy.

I am BAAACK!!!

My surgery went as planned and no complications. The hospital stay was fine and they have a great staff of nurses and techs. loved them all. They also were quiet at night so I could sleep. My surgery was on Thursday morning and I was released at noon on Saturday. While there I finished an exchange on friday night and I stitched a little bit on the Quilt Sampler on Saturday. One of my nurses loves to cross stitch and she fell in love with the quilt sampler. She also told of a craft store in the city that sells used charts and DMC is .10 a skein.

Sunday, between naps I stitched some more on Halloween Fairy by Nora Corbet. I really enjoy stitching on her.
Then Monday & Tuesday I stitched on the Quilt sampler and now I only have 2 more blocks and some of the border left.
Wednesday was HAED day for me and this is freebie Aurora's Garden. I have 1 column done on page 1. I love the colors.
Today I stitched another page of Twas The Night Before Christmas by Little Old Me Designs. This stitches up quick.
Yes, I am getting a lot of rest. Sleeping when I need it as well.

I also finished listening to My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult and gave it a 5/5 rating. I just loved this book. I am now listening to The 5th Horseman by James Patterson.
In the evenings I watch a movie as well.
This week I have watched:
Gran Torino - it was ok- very slow
Baby on Board- good
Spring Breakdown - good
Georgia Rule - good

True Blood also started its second season on Sunday and I ended up watching it on Monday since I couldn't stay awake.
Tomorrow is my doctor's appointment.

Now I plan on picking up Christmas Ornament stitching since it has been neglected all year. Now I remember why I loved being a SAHM for 19 years lol. I sure do miss it. But I also like my job and having stash money.

WIP pics and pet pics

I stitched some more on Hallween Fairy on Sunday. So 1/4 of it is done.
Saturday I finished another square on Quilt Sampler.
I took pics of our new cat but took one of the dog as well. This is my baby Dreyx. He is 8 1/2 years old, rottie/shepherd mix. Him and the cat hit it off as soon as she came out of the pet carrier.
This is Molly. Her eyes get runny once in awhile. The shelter wasn't sure if it was allergies or stress. They were giving her a cream for it. The first 2 days we brought her home they were bad but seem to be getting better. if not then I will have to call our vet and see what they can do for her. She is such a lovey cat and sleeps all night with me.
She is a little butterball and has a small head for her big body LOL. I call her Miss Molly and Dylan calls her Molly Moo.

I had preop this morning. They drew blood and took chest xrays. Tomorrow afternoon i have to call to see what time my surgery is and when to get to the hospital.

Tonight I listened to more of My Sisters Keeper while stitching on the RR
Tomorrow will be my last day at work for a few weeks. The only thing bad about that is no pay. I work 27-32 hours a week and am part time. My employer only pays disability for full time employees. So no stash buying for a while.

I have a bunch of audiobooks downloaded into my computer and have 6 more sitting here to put on my computer so I am hoping to get a lot of them listened to while laid up. Plus movies in the evenings. Also lots of stitching time in. Maybe a couple of big finishes. But I will not make any promises :-)

WIPs

Last night I worked some more on The Storyteller. I was doing it as a SAL with Connie to keep motivated but she has to bow out for a couple of months so I have to be really good and keep pulling this out on Mondays.
Sunday is Halloween Day for me so I pulled out Halloween Fairy by Nora Corbett. I did change something already though. The Kreinik #4 braid says 2 strands but I thout it looked bulky so I took it out and used 1 strand and I think it looks better.
Then Saturday was my SAT(stitchaThon) with Only One Ewe BB and Stitching Sisters yahoo group. I stitched on another square of Quilt Sampler. So this square, 3 more and then the border and it will be done.

I also stitched quite a bit more on HAED Aurora's Garden but I didn't update a pic like I thought I did.

Also watched a few movies:
My Bloody Valentine - Netflix

a finish and a WIP

I finished M Designs Halloween Tree. Stitched on green linen with overdyed threads and the button pack for this design. Images below are close up with the buttons.

I also stitched some more on the quilt sampler. My goal is to finish 2 squares and I think I can do that this week.

I stitched while watching 2 weeks of Medium and most of the movie Eyes Wide Shut , which was a weird movie the first time I saw it.

Today I plan on finishing Boo Needleroll and hopefully start Nora Corbett's Halloween Fairy.

stitching and finishing

Saturday I went grocery shopping with Scott. Came home and stitched a little bit on the Quilt sampler. Scott had the remote so we kind of just fell asleep watching junk.
Today was my finishing day. I had 2 more ornaments but didn't feel like pulling out the sewing machine. I also have a SB Spring to make into a pillow but need to get fabric for it. So I did 2 pinkeeps and a framed piece plus the March piece for the cork board.
This is our cat The Outsider. He kept meowing to go out. he is the only cat that we let out.
This is Rascal and thinks he owns the house. I have another cat but he was hiding. I also have a dog but for some reason as soon as I put the camera up to my face he runs into another room. Silly dog.

Pumpkin - The Sweetheart Tree
JCS October 2008 issue

Today I stitched on Pumpkin.

I also watched some TV:
DVD- Changeling - really good
DVR: General Hospital , Smallville, and Supernatural
tonight: Desperate Housewives
