January Ornament finished

I started this Monday night and stitched a little bit every night. I finished it last night as a SAT with Let's Stitch blog and Stitching Sisters Yahoo group. I watched the series finale of Dollhouse which was very confusing. Also watched Medium and then some of the movie Twilight.

ornament progress

Woke up this morning and couldn't see the neighbor's house as it was snowing so hard. We gad a couple of inches of snow and had an advisory for all day and tonight. Hubby showed up and I said "are you my knight in shining armor" and he laughed and said I guess so. he took me into work. He picked me back up after work. So I read BBs, had dinner and then time to sit down and stitch.

I am getting quite a bit further on this. I watched The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural. I hope to finish this tomorrow night.

Damage Control

Did that get your attention? The title is the audiobook that I am listening to by J.A.Jance. I had that playing while stitching on the ornament tonight. I managed to finish the house. I am hoping to finish this tomorrow.

I didn't do much today. We didn't have much work today so I left at noon. Caught up on blog reading. Did some laundry.
I had a rotation planned and goals. But for some reason I have UFOs that are calling me and I REALLY want to finish them. So is it to late to change my goals that are listed for the year? I would love to finish I Shall Wear Purple by Sue Hillis, Mirabilia's Winter Queen and TCS Christmas Angel. I can't remember how much I have started on Ice Angel either. Hmmm I am in a quandry on what to do. I really want to finish my HAEDs as well. I know I will be stitching on a HAED on the first Friday to the 2nd Friday of the month. That still leaves the week of the 25th to stitch an ornament. So do I pull out one UFO in February and stitch on it the other weeks. Then in March pick another of the UFOs and maybe they will all be done this year? Each month could be a different UFO. Plus still leave my weekends as planned. Fridays are smalls, Saturday magazines or incentive piece with OOE, Sundays are Halloween. I love my weekend schedules.

progress and giveaway winner

We had some crappy weather this morning with snow and wind. A woman lost her house to a fire this morning. Paper said she and her husband bought the house 3 years ago and then he was diagnosed with cancer and died. Today the house was destroyed, while she was at work and she lost her 2 cats and dog. So sad and don't know why that bothered me today. She is 58. A student at an area school hung herself this morning. Ok today was a morbid day i guess. Sorry.
Anyways thank you to all who were concerned about me driving my car. Hubby took me to work this morning and my car went to the shop. My front brake pads were gone. geesh no wonder it worked funny yesterday. I appreciate all of your concerns for my well being.
Today was movie night with the boys. Dylan went to town and brought home G-Force. Cute cartoonish with Guinea Pigs. We enjoyed it.
While watching that I worked on the JCS ornament.
I got all the brown in the border done. Hoping to stitch and get most of it done tomorrow night.

Ok now onto the winner. I had a lot of comments and Justin drew the name. And this is funny since what she had posted as a comment. Winner is....... Julie M . send me an e mail with your addy so i can send the magazine out to you. Congrats on the win.

nighty night,
Shelleen

Christmas in January

Got ready for work this morning and backed out of my driveway and no brakes. My pedal went to the floor . I then put it into drive and went forwards a few feet and touched the brake and again the same thing. So back into reverse I went so i could pull back into the driveway. I asked Dylan for his keys and drove his car to work. After school Dylan took my car out and everything is fine. Stupid car.

I am all caught up with reading blogs. I left comments on quite a few of them

In honor of Christmas, since it is the 25th, I started a JCS ornament and watched 2 Christmas shows. How The Grinch Stole Christmas and then Shrek The Halls. Justin thought I was losing it. So this is what I started.

I also watched House and 24. Both good shows.
So who else did Christmas with me? You all chickened out didn't you? Next month is Christmas music :-)

Been busy

I have had a pretty busy few days.
Thursday:
I got home and a check Justin was waiting for came in. So I borrowed money to buy myself a new laptop. It is an Asus and has windows7, which I am still learning how to use.

Friday:
I told hubby that I wanted to stitch all night and watch my TV shows but that didn't happen as none of the shows were on due to the telethon for Haiti. So I finished listening to Dead Wrong by J.A. Jance while stitching on HAED Aurora's Garden. This is her so far.

Saturday:
I took hubby to the movies as I really wanted to see Avatar 3D. The Imax is sold out til who knows when but the Regal had the 3D. I have never seen a 3D movie before and it was awesome! I loved the movie and afterwards hubby informed me that he didn't really want to go but was really glad that he did as he enjoyed the movie as well. Then we went to Five Guys for a burger and fries. I had been to the one by Myrtle Beach and just found out that one was here. Love their cajun fries. Came home and played on my computer. No stitching for the day.

Today:
went and got some groceries. Then stitched on LK Boo Flip Its. I also watched The Final Destination, Vampire Diaries, and Supernatural. Then I started Damage Control by J.A. Jance. As you can see I did pretty well on progress of the LK Boo.
Tomorrow is JCS ornament day and in honor of Christmas I will either play a little Christmas music or watch a Christmas special on DVD. Anyone want to join me?

not feeling to well

I left for work this morning and got halfway there when I started feeling ill. I called into work and turned around. I am starting to feel a little better tonight but I am really tired now.

This is my progress on Aurora's Garden. I stitched quite a bit today. I watched Sunday and Mondays episodes of 24, they were great.
Then General Hospital came on so I wound more floss on bobbins. I am getting there :-)
Back to stitching and this time listened to Dead Wrong by J.A. Jance. I am on CD7 out of 9. I am hoping to listen to more of this tomorrow but Thursday nights are my busiest with TV shows.

Good night,
Shelleen

First finish of 2010 and a giveaway

Got to work and there wasn't anything to do. Left at noon. As I was driving through town I noticed hubby's truck in front of the coffee shop so I called him and asked what he was doing. He said having lunch at Java's. I told him I saw his truck as I passed. So he told me to turn around and have lunch with him. That was very sweet of him. Had a toasted ham and cheese sandwich with a cup of chili.

When I got home I got caught up on blogs and emails. Played a little Facebook. Then I was a good girl again and worked out with the Wii for 30 minutes.

Sat down and watched General Hospital while winding more floss on bobbins.

Tonight was movie night with the boys. I had a Netflix movie sitting here so we watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Justin and Dylan had both seen it a few times before but love the movie. Then guess what happened as soon as the movie ended? I put on the last bead to Halloween Fairy, woohoo!!!!

a good day

My day started out with putting ingredients into the crockpot to make sausage gumbo.
Got to work and hardly anything to do so I got to leave at 1:30. I ended up doing some laundry and cleaning the living room. Then I worked out for 35 minutes with Wii Fit. That felt so good. We had problems with the remotes and I haven't touched it sine before my surgery, in June. I only gained 1.5 lbs since my surgery but I would like to know why then, are my jeans tight? It felt good to get back into a cleaning and work out schedule again. After reading emails and BBs, and of course playing on Fairyland :-), I then pulled out floss. That is right I still have bags to put onto bobbins. last year I was on a roll doing this and then stopped. Well I have made it my vow to do this again every day while watching General Hospital.

After I ate the yummy supper, I pulled out Aurora's Garden and listened to Dead Wrong by J. A. Jance. I got a few more squares done on it. I just don't think I will meet the deadline of the 27th. I am trying my best though.

So I am hoping to keep up with my daily routines tomorrow. Tomorrow's room to clean is.. the kitchen. Clean out the fridge and one cupboard.

See you then.

A new start

I got caught up reading everyones blogs and I commented on a few. Then went grocery shopping. Came home and started a new piece.

Sunday's are Halloween days and the beads did not come in yet, to finish Halloween Fairy so I started LK Boo Flip Its. This is what I got done so far. This one is Spooky. I am doing them all on one piece of fabric. 32 count dirty linen, using WDW and GAST. Can't wait to pick this one up next Sunday.
While stitching I watched:
General Hospital 1/14, 1/15
Desperate Housewives
Durham County

Plus I started listening to Dead Wrong by J. A. Jance. I am on disc 3 of 9 and so far it is good.

I am mad

I looked forwards all week to see Avatar 3D in the Imax Theater. So hubby and I get there and it is sold out for the weekend. I have never been to an Imax theater and I really did not want to see Avatar in the regular theater. I am so disappointed :-) So we ended up going to Longhorn Steakhouse. They just built it here. I had been to one in Myrtle Beach but hubby hadn't been to one. He ordered a steak medium rare and it came out well done. He wouldn't send it back but said it had a great favor. Came home and stitched some more on M Designs Shelleen tree Ornament. I had stitched on some earlier in the day as well.
So while stitching I watched:
The Forgotten 1/5/10 , 1/12/10
General Hospital 1/12 , 1/13
Race To Witch Mountain (2009)

The beads didn't come in the mail so I can't finish Halloween Fairy tomorrow. I will be starting LK Boo Double Flip Its.

Stitch a Thon Friday

Today was stitch a thon with the Let's Stitch blog and Stitching Sisters Yahoo group. I put in a few hours on HEAD Aurora's Garden.

I also watched:
Ghost Whisperer 1/8, 1/15
Medium 1/8
Dollhouse 1/15
Fierce People - movie I watched last weekend but didn't see the ending til tonight.

Scott had to go in for OT tonight so I had more stitching time. Tomorrow we are going to see Avatar in 3D. I can't wait!!
I plan on stitching on M Designs Shelleen Tree Ornament. That will be a SAT for Only One Ewe BB and Stitching Sisters Yahoo group.

Paula mailed me the beads that I needed to finish Halloween Fairy so I am crossing my fingers they will be here tomorrow so I can finish it on Sunday.

Thursday's progress

We have been busy at work and can't figure out why. It is usually really slow January thru May. our other labs are but we aren't. job security and I am not complaining as my hours and pay is great. At work I listened to Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich and I finished it when I got home. Really good book. I will be starting Dead Wrong by J.A. Jance, next.
Yes , I have almost another column done!! I stitched on this while I finished Plum Spooky. Then I watched 2 episodes of General Hospital and then tonight I watched Bones, Grey's Anatomy, and Private Practice.

Does anyone have any plans for the weekend? I plan on going to see Avatar3D. I told hubby I would pay but I really want to see it. So hoping to see it Saturday afternoon. Other than that just stitching. I will stitch on HAED tomorrow night and then Saturday M Designs Shelleen Ornament. I don't know if Paula got the beads mailed out for Halloween Fairy. If they are here on time then I will finish it Sunday. if not then I will start LK Boo Flip Its.

Good night,
Shelleen

HAED Aurora's Garden progress

I stitched on this a little bit last night while watching Hancock and then listening to Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich. Tonight I pulled her back out and stitched on it while listening to Plum Spooky , again. I am on disc 5 of 7. If I keep up this stitching she may be done at the end of the month. Especially since tomorrow night all of my shows are on. That is 3 hours of stitching :-)

This is supposed to be our slow season at work but we have been really busy.

So far this year is not going so well. Problems at the bank which caused a lot of problems with my checking account. The bank realized what they did and fixed it all , thank god.

Well good night everyone,
Shelleen

Mondays meanderings

Dylan took me into work since my car is in the shop. Had a busy day at work. Dylan picked me up then we ran a couple of chores. While at work I finished listening to Finger Lickin' Fifteen by Janet Evanovich. Loved it. Then I started listening to Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich.
Tonight's stitching was HAED Aurora's Garden.

I watched House and the end of the movie Monsters Inc. I was flipping through the guide on Dish Network and got laughing so hard that the boys came out of their rooms. They now have a Barbie channel. Can you believe it?

Well I have to get ready for bed. Tomorrow night is more Aurora's Garden. I want it done by the end of the month :-)

Hugs,
Shelleen

Halloween Fairy update

Halloween Sunday! I have all the beads done but one color. I thought I had it but I don't. I do have someone picking them up for me and don't know if they will get here by next Sunday. If they are then I will finish this then. Otherwise I will start LK Boo Flip Its. I can't wait to start those :-)

This is what I have done and it was so much fun to stitch up.
Here is a little bit of a close up shot.

I am not sure if there is something else in the catalog that I want to stitch up. If not then the magazine will be up for grabs and maybe I will do it as a give away.

I also started listening to Finger Lickin' Fifteen by Janet Evanovich. I lol a few times. My husband asked what was I listening to and Justin said oh it must be Janet Evanovich because her books make mom lol. I said yes, I am :-) I am almost done listening to it. I am on the last CD so I will finish it tomorrow. Next is Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich.

Tonight I also watched Desperate Housewives and then Durham County.

I didn't post here yesterday as I didn't put in even 1 stitch. Having a family crisis at the moment with a teenage son so if any of you pray please say some for us as we go through a tough time right now. Can't wait til graduation at this point.

Stitching and TV

My day started out crappy. I had Dylan start up my car to warm it 10 minutes before I was to leave. He drives to school and leaves before I do so this works out well. Anyways I get out to my car and open my driver's door and there is a terrible smell and smoke in my car. Dylan and I have smelled this a few times but can never figure out what it is. It smells like burnt rubber or something similiar to that. So I call Scott to come get me and take me to work. I then ask Justin if he had to work today and he said no. So I asked him to pick me up from work at 3 or 4. So Scott says my car smells like an oil leak somewheres. It was supposed to go in the shop but they were busy today.
So I get to work and we were swamped and I ended up having to work over.
I have stitched on the bookmark tonight and watched all 4 episodes of this weeks General Hospital.
Not much else going on here.
Anyone have any plans for the weekend? I have a BookCross meeting Saturday. Other than that just stitching and some cleaning.

Wednesday, January 06, 2010

laundry day

Yes I had to do some laundry today as I was behind and needed more detergent. The last load is in the dryer now. I did stitch today. I started a bookmark for an exchange I have on Saturday. it is with my Book Crossing meeting. Some of them do read my blog so I can't post a pic.
I also watched some General Hospital episodes that I am behind on. I watched :
12/23 12/28 12/29 12/30 and started to watch 1/4 but Dylan wanted to watch something else while folding laundry. That is his chore.

Tomorrow night I will stitch away and hopefully listen to Finger Licking Fifteen by Janet Evanovich.

Nothing thrilling going on here

I didn't get much stitching time in so no pic. My manager was still out today but she will be back to work tomorrow. My other coworker came back today. It had been lightly snowing all day and then around 2 it got heavier and the wind picked up.I called home to see how the weather was there and Scott said it was fine. I knew Dylan was leaving after school to head to the town where I work so as I watched the weather get worse I called Dylan to pick Scott up and drop him off at my job so he could drive me home. I am so glad that i did that and Scott doesn't mind at all. He works the 3rd shift so he is available during the day. Tonight is also family night with the boys. I fixed a Digourno pizza and we watched Definately, Maybe. Justin and I gave it a 5 star. I did stitch on HAED SK Mermaid of the Deep but that will be the extent of stitching on it til the first week of February. I have to stitch a bookmark for an exchange on Saturday with my Bookcrossing group. Then back to my rotation for the weekend and then finish HAED Aurora's garden by the end of the month. it is supposed to be a birthday gift since it didn't get done on time for Christmas.

Well I hope you all aren't yawning and didn't give up on reading this post.
if you are still reading thank you so much!

Mondays meanderings

I had to work by myself again since today was the funeral for my manager's dad and it is also the grandfather of my other coworker. I am not sure if they will be back tomorrow. I got home and fixed a little dinner. fried chicken and sweet mashed potatoes. I then went through all the BBs that i check, there is 4 of them. Posted a few things, checked my emaill and played Fairyland on Facebook . Then sat down and stitched.

I put in about 300 more stitches on HAED SK Mermaid of the Deep.I also watched some DVRd shows: Dollhouse 12/18 2 episodes, Eastwick 12/30 and 2 episodes of Durham County that was on last night. That is pretty much it for today. Had some snow flurries and warmed up to the teens haha.

Halloween Fairy progress

I had a productive day today. Got up and read emails and caught up on blog reading. Left comments on quite a few. While doing that I also colored and highlighted my hair. My hair is a medium brown with blonde highlights. I am usually blonde. But I had some grey coming in so I needed to color anyways.

The boxes of decorations are back in the closet and the tree is out of the house. Then took the shop vac after my carpets. I have found this works better than using my vacuum cleaner for all of it. The needles have always plugged up my vacuum so a few years ago we started the shop vac for this chore.
I sat down and stitched on Nora Corbett's Halloween Fairy. I have just a little bit of backstitching left and then the beads. I am really hoping to finish it next Sunday. While stitching I finished listening to Justice Denied by J.A. Jance. It was really good and I rate it 4/5. I also watched the new episode of Desperate Housewives. It was really good and there are some deaths but I will not spoil it for those who haven't watched it yet.
Tomorrow I will stitch on HAED SK Mermaid of the Deep.
My manager's father died on Thursday so she wasn't in nor was my coworker is as it was also her grandfather so I worked by myself. Tomorrow is the funeral so I have another day by myself. Prayers to the family.

Shelleen Tree Ornament

Yesterday was a SAT with Only One ewe BB and my stitching sisters Yahoo group. So I stitched on M Designs Shelleen Tree Ornament. I got quite a bit done on it.

DH and I also went to Walmart. I had gotten a GC from my boss so I bought 2 sets of Pjs, gel pens, pads of paper, haircoloring with highlighting. Then we went to BJs to get some groceries.
Came home and undecorated the tree and house. I have decided to leave up things that say winter, snow and even my snowmen things since winter is still the season. I will have to buy a storage container for my winter items.

I also did some stash shopping at Down Sunshine Lane. I like to change my project bag, scissors, fob, needleminder, pads of paper, bookmarks, needle holder (tin or small book) and floss ring tag, for every month. So I ordered a project bag and needleminder for February and scissors for January.

While stitching I also listened to Justice Denied by J.A. Jance. I am on CD 6 of 9.

We have a storm warning til 6pm tonight. Right now it looks fine out. But it is only 8 degrees out and below 0 with the wind chill.

As you can see I have been playing with my blog and now have it the way that I want it.

Happy New Years

Today was stay in Pjs all day and stitch. No makeup or fixing the hair. So I gridded my fabric for my new start. That took an hour.

Then The Tournament of Roses Parade started. Hubby fixed me a cup of Stash Tea called Holiday Chai and my needle started my first start of the year :-) The parade was nice. Then I watched Ghost Whisperer from 12/4 and Medium from 12/4.
Then I pulled out my ipod and listened for a while to Justice Denied by J.A. Jance. I am enjoying this book. It is part of the J.P. Beaumont series.
We are also getting a snow storm that is supposed to last til Sunday.
This HAED piece is part of a SAL on the HAED BB. But tomorrow I have decided to stitch on M Designs Shelleen Tree Ornament. It is a SAL tomorrow on the Only One Ewe BB and this is also my incentive piece on that board.

Did everyone have a nice New years Eve? I had to work til 4. Then Hubby and I went and got munchies for the night. At 9pm our time had fireworks. It is called First Night Celebration and this is the second year that they have done this. Then we came home and then Dylan and his girlfriend, Shelbi came home for the night. We watched the ball drop and then went to bed at 12:30. Of course hugs and kisses at midnight for all of us.

I did it. I finished the last ornament for the year.

Tomorrow night I would like to finish them into ornaments. I also will stitch on Aurora's garden again.

Today I started a new audiobook. Justice Denied by J.A. Jance. I like it already and is part of a series that I had started a few years ago.

Tonight I watched the last episodes of Private Practice before the holiday hiatus.

We are getting hit with snow, wind and very cold temps. The windchill is supposed to get below zero and the winds will cause whiteout conditions. Scott took me to work today and he said probably again tomorrow and he has heard that we have snow just about all week. Anybody live in a warmer state that has an extra room for me? All I need is my stitching and my ipod and a couple of books. :-)

a finish for the weekend

LOMD Not a Creature was Stirring

12/26/09-12/27/09
I started this last night and finished it tonight. Then I started another one which will be done tomorrow night.
I did not give Aurora's Garden to the recipient. Her birthday is the end of January so I have more time to finish it.

I had a really nice Christmas with my family. Got some pretty jewelry from my sister and parents. Justin got me a GPS, I was surprised. Scott got me candles , Katy Perry CD , and stuff from The Body Shop plus he filled my stocking for the first time in years. Dylan also bought me a Katy Perry CD with a DVD of MTV Unplugged.

Today I finished listening to Odd Hours by Dean Koontz. I gave it a 4/5 stars.

Tonight I watched The Velveteen Rabbit which had me in tears. Yes I am a sap for children's movies.

I have been stitching

I didn't stitch at all on Friday or Saturday. But I did last night and tonight. I have almost another column done, woohoo. As you can see I will not be done for Christmas. So I will wrap it as is and then finish it.

We finally got our tree yesterday. So the boys and I decorated it. I also put up some decorations around the house. I wanted to do more today but we were so busy at work that I crashed. I did watch some of my DVDs: How The Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon), Horton Hears a Who(Cartoon) and A Year Without a Santa Clause. Now I am ready for bed.
Today I also listened to some more of Odd Hours by Dean Koontz.

Started page 2

I have stitched a little bit on page 2. Since Christmas is almost a week away I now know that I can not have this done on time. I will wrap it as it is on that day and then get it back to finish it.

Tonight's Netflix movie was Julie/Julia. I enjoyed the movie very much.

Work has been dead all week and dreading what tomorrow's day will be like. Either another dead day or we will get slammed. My one coworker is going through a tough time right now. Her birthday is Saturday and we usually order out for birthdays but her favorite thing is taco salad so I made that to take in instead and the manager is buying the tortillas and pop. I can't wait lol.

Well as most of you can see I love Heaven and Earth Designs. Mostly Faeries and dragons. I always ask for a fairy calendar for Christmas and for this year I had Linda Ravenscroft's calendar. Well the new ones are out for 2010 and Rachel Anderson has one out so I ordered it :-) It was shipped today and I should have it in 2-3 business days. I wanted to order more things from her website but I have to be good :-( Her Queen Of Hearts is one my favorite patterns and I recieved it from a member of the HAED BB. I am trying to finish Aurora's Garden and I have Fly, Butterfly started and starting in January I will be joining their SAL for a storykeep (bookmark). So I do not want to start another HAED. I have about 12 charts though and some of their freebies are really cute. Aurora's Garden and Fly, Butterfly are freebies.

Well time to read a couple of blogs and then off to bed.

Thanks to those of you who read my ramblings and to those that leave comments. You are all the best.

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Woohoo!!

Page 1 is finished! I have been busting my butt on this piece but I don't think I will make the Christmas deadline. I still have page 2 to finish and then 2 or 3 more pages that just have a little bit of stitching.
Friday:
I watched 2 hours of Dollhouse. This Friday is the last 2 hours, since it was cancelled.

Saturday:
Went Christmas shopping with Scott at Walden Galleria Mall by Buffalo. Love that mall. I finished Justin's shopping. Then I stitched some more on this.

Sunday:
Took Justin to Bed, Bath and Beyond to buy 2 pillows. Scott and I needed new ones badly so they were Christmas gifts to us. Then we went to Target, since it was in the same plaza. Now I have never liked Target and always walk out of the doors empty handed. Well I got all of Dylan's shopping done and half of Scott's, ran out of money.
Came home and watched movies while stitching.
Watched:
A Carol Christmas - Tori Spelling version
Holiday In Handcuffs- saw it last season
Santa Baby
Santa Baby 2

Monday:
I listened to Odd Hours by Dean Koontz, at work.
Had my bookcross meeting at Wok For You and had sushi, mmm. No stitching or TV.

Today:
Started with wet snow in the morning and by 2pm it was just plain snow. The roads were wet but no snow was sticking. I left at 4 and everything but the roads were covered. Dylan was in town picking up a movie for family night and he said it was nasty out. We had junk food(jalapeno poppers, pizza rolls and buffalo wing nuggets)
Movie: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Stitched for a couple of hours.
Scott left here around 9pm for work. I talked to him when he got to work and it is snowing so hard that he couldn't see and was only going 20 mph. Said if it is like that in the morning then he will take me to work. Love that man.

crappy weather

It started snowing when I got up and we had high winds all last night through tomorrow morning. Anyways the school were closed because they were calling for whiteouts throughout the day. The morning cleared up and no matter what i had told my 19 year old he figured the weather was done and the whiteouts started around 11 am. Is he home, oh no he is not and had to drive not knowing where he was. Scott had taken me to work because I knew what it would be like later. He ended up picking me up at 12:30. We werent busy at work so my manager said I could leave before it got worse out. I don't know if it could have been any worse except for maybe driving at night. We had 3" within 1 1/2 hours. The vehicle in front of us hit a car that was pulling off a side road and didn't see us on the main road. No one was hurt and not much damage that i know of, because were only going 35mph.
Scott works nights at his full time job. Got up and went outside to warm up his truck and ended up calling in to work. No way was he going in. Still whiteouts and we have a foot of snow and it is still coming down.
Dylan (DS#2, 17 year old) was at work in town. His girlfriend lives a block from where he works so he crashed there for the night, So we are all safe and warm for the night but I wouldn't be surprised if power goes out and I do not believe there will school again tomorrow. We are supposed to get a few more inches of snow over night.
I did stitch about 2 hours on HAED Aurora's garden but I am not taking pics tonight. I will be taking them tomorrow though.

TV watched:
couple of General Hospital episodes
Bone

FYI As The World Turns is being cancelled. The last episode will be September of next year. I used to watch that show every day but haven't watched it in about 10 years. Sorry to see another soap going.

Wednesday update

I have been stitching a little on HAED Aurora's Garden. For some reason on have been playing Sim City Societies and losing track of time. But tonight I stitched and watched 5 1/2 episodes of General Hospital.

Also today I started listening to Odd Hours by Dean Koontz. I am on the second CD.

Last night was family night. One night during the week the boys and I watch a movie and eat some kind of junk food. Last night was Night At The Museum 2. it was ok. I loved the first one.

Please keep us in your prayers as we have a winter storm heading our way. Morning won't be to bad with only about 2" of snow but we are supposed to get 4"-6" more during the day with high winds and gusts of 60 mph which they are saying will cause whiteouts. So I already know that DH is taking me to work. I better take some stitching to do though in case the electric goes out.

Still plugging away

I finished the column I was working on and stitched some more on the next column. My goal is to finish this for Christmas.
I also washed the linens on my bed and went grocery shopping. The bed smells good and we have food for the week :-)

TV watched:
Smallville 11/20
The Forgotten 12/1

I have a lot of PC games and I haven't touched them in months, Mostly due to the fact that I need more memorie. So I used Justin's gaming PC today and played Sim City Societies. Justin bought this for me last year and freezes on my computer so I played it on his. Seems to be fun. I have set aside the weekends for my games and will change what I am playing on every weekend. Anyone else like PC games?

Well time to go play Fairyland on Facebook and then to bed.

Night all!

Aurora's Garden

I almost finished another column. I will try to get another column done today.

TV watched:
Vampire Diaries 11/19
Supernatural 11/19

Movie:
The Kite Runner - awesome and I hate having to read the lines because of another language.

I played Sims2 but not for long. My computer needs more memory.

A finish and a WIP

The Night Before Christmas
Little Old Me designs
28 ct white Monaco
DMC, Kreinik, MH beads
11/30/08 - 11/30/09
Yeah it is done!! I can't believe it. The words were the easy part, believe it or not. I had fun stitching this and it was a freebie to members of the Needleworkers Haven BB.
HAED Aurora's Garden
25 ct white evenweave
DMC
Then last night I pulled out HAED freebie Aurora's Garden. I really want this done as a Christmas gift but I don't think it will be possible. Maybe if I didn't work or clean or eat. I will try to post a progress every night.

Is everyone ready for Christmas? I have half of Justin's gifts bought. I gave money to my sister to pick up our parent's gift. I stitched the quilt sampler for my MIL but still have not had it sewn into a pillow and realize it is to late to have it sent out to a finisher.

The Night Before Christmas will be sewn on top of fleece and then have the fleece made into a blanket. This will be a Christmas gift but I can't say for who yet. Not sure if that person reads my blog. Although I don't believe so

I pulled out TW The Storyteller as it was UFO night. I did quite a bit more on the border. I also watched Bones, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.

Friday:
I didn't stitch at all on Friday. My sister invited me to her house for a sleepover. Just her and I. We had wine, sushi and watched movies. We watched Up ,which was cute. Then we watched The Women , which we enjoyed.

SATURDAY:
I stitched on my name tree by M Designs. DH and DS#2 were out hunting so it was a day of stitching and movies. I watched: WALL-E and The Dark Knight. Both of which I enjoyed.

Stitched a little

Tonight was UFO night and I put in some stitches of TW The Storyteller. I am to tired to take pics and upload so that will have to wait.

Tomorrow night I plan on going to my sister's new place. She invited me to spend the night and have a night of drinking wine, eating sushi and watching movies. I do plan on taking my stitching but she told me lots of luck with her 2 little kittens LOL.

sleepy tonight

last night I didn't post a progress pic because I was watching Eagle Eye and it is so full of adventure that I didn't hardly stitch.
Then tonight I sat down with my stitching again and my ipod. I was listening to Shadow Man by Cody McFayden (awesome book) and stitching on The Night Before Christmas but I kept nodding off. I don't want to miss anything on this audiobook. So all I managed to get done in 2 days is 2 little cherries and the top part of santa. So I may post a progress pic tomorrow. I am just to tired tonight and it is only 9 pm. Pretty sad for me.
Tomorrow I will be pulling out TW The Storyteller.

Good night all,
Shelleen

Mondays progress

I worked some more on Night Before Christmas. I am hoping to finish another page tonight.

Had a fight with DS#2, who is 17. He doesn't like living by our rules so he packed and left last night. He has spoken to me since and will be back today. Teenagers are so much fun lol.

name tree and Halloween Fairy

Yesterday was Saturdays SAT with the Stitching Sisters yahoo group and Only One ewe Yuku board. So I pulled out M Designs Name Tree (Shelleen) and got 1/4 of it finished. it is also a stitched incentive piece with the Only One ewe board. This pattern was given to me in 2005. It was in my registration package for the Pals Fall Fling.
Today I went to a stitch in at my friend Jill's house. I hadn't seen her in 2 years but her sister, Karen and I get together once in a while to stitch. So Karen met us there as well. I stitched on Nora Corbett's Halloween fairy. This should be finished this month.

Tonight I watched Desperate Housewives. Anyone else watch this?

Starting next Saturday is deer season with a gun and DH and DS#2 will be gone all day Saturday and Sunday so I have a lot of time to stitch. So my home is open next Saturday for any stitchers and it is pajama day so you can come in your pjs and stitch all day long or join me online.

Night Before Christmas

I was able to put together 4 ornaments. They are for exchanges and I still need to buy goodies to go with them. Since I have to go to the city Saturday morning then I will get the goodies and be able to mail on Monday. So now I can concentrate on my WIPs, which are now UFOs.

Tonight I pulled out The Night Before Christmas by Little Old Me Designs. I only have a couple of more pages to stitch of this. I am hoping to finish it this year. Now that I am back into a routine I am sure it can happen.

I watched all 3 episodes of this week's General Hospital and it was good.

Tomorrow will be UFO night for me. Since I watch TV from 8pm-11pm I thought that 3 hours would be great. I will be stitching on TW The Storyteller.

I have NOT forgotten about my blogiversary Giveaway. With being sick I had put it on the backburner. I will be writing the names down tonight and having one of the boys draw a name.

Busy Stitching

I finished one RR and have the backstitching left on the last RR. Then I will be putting together Christmas ornaments for exchanges. I am sooo excited that the RRs are done and exchanges for a couple of months. Now back into my rotation and showing pics again, woohoo!!!

I am also feeling so much better. I cough once in a while but no more coughing fits. Life is good :-)

Feeling Better and stitching away

I had the flu last week and missed 2 days of work. My manager even had it so we shut the lab down on Monday. I just have to get rid of this stupid cough.
Yesterday and today i stitched on 2 Rrs. One is done and almost done with the other one. I watched a lot of my DVrd TV shows and today was movie day.
I watched:
Watchmen - didn't like it
Duplicity - it was ok
X-Men Origins: Wolverine - liked it

Nothing else new here. Just slept a lot last week and went to bed around 9 every night. Getting back into my routine. Caught up with laundry.

Too many Christmas commercials on TV. I love Christmas but by the time Thanksgiving is here I end up being sick of Christmas. I turn into a scrooge by the time December 1 gets here and then don't even feel like decorating the house. I understand needing it in the Craft stores but we don't need it now in other stores. Does anyone else feel like this?
