almost done

I did very well today on this and by the looks of this, if nothing comes up, it will be done tomorrow. I can't wait :-) I have my dancing shoes ready. I also have to put DHs name at the top of the stocking.
I have 2 Christmas ornaments to stitch up then for 2 exchanges and then onto LK Flip It Stamps.
I am watching season 4 of Gilmore Girls and am on disc 3. Tonight I watched Bones and DVRd The O.C. and then watched the mid season finale of Lost and now have to wait til Feb 7 for it to come back on :-(

I have decided to do the 50 project challenge that I saw some posted on their blogs. I made my list of 50 that need to be done until I can buy a chart. My goal is to either finish 50 or wait til Cross Stitch pals 10 year anniversary next October. Whichever comes first.

My dog is a woos

I accomplished this much stitching today. As you can see I had finished the one section and I have stitched all the white in this last section. Hoping today will be productive as well.

This is my big baby. He is 5 1/2 years old. I adopted him from a shelter when he was 1 1/2. he is a rottie /shepherd mix. Loves my cats and my kids. if company comes he thinks they are here to play with him LOL. Any ways yesterday he had his yearly checkup and shots. So as soon as he sees his leash he knows he is going bye bye. Loves car rides so he is all excited. We pull into the vets and another dog is getting out of a car. A little mini dachsund same color as Dreyx(my dog). They sniff each other and my dog wants to play but the other dog growls a little and barks. So Dreyx backs up a little. We all go into the vets office and they have me weigh Dreyx. he now weighs 99 lbs. Just a little more than the vet wanted but they don't say anyhting. Now is the fun part. They call us back to the examination room and we are walking and all of a sudden I get stopped in my tracks. My dog does not want into the examination room. he has his feet rooted firmly as can be, on linoleum. Fighting with all of his will. So we try to get him into another exam room, same results. We move onto the 3rd room, same thing. We try coaxing him with bones and sweet talk. it is not going to happen. Finally the vet pulls and I am pushing from behind and we get in the room. he is now hiding behind me LOL. He has never done this before so I don't know what his problem is. He gets his shots and since he is already cowered down I have the vet clip his nals, which he hates to have done. One thing I can say is he never growled or tried to bite. Just was a big woos LOL. Now I need to renew his dog license this week.

Anyways after all of that I did stitch quite a bit. Around 4 I got a migraine, from this rainy weather. makes my stomach off so i decide not to go to the women's church meeting. I lay n a dark room for awhile. Ibuprofen just takes the edge off. I decide to try stitching again and did manage to stitch some more.

Linda K asked what my next project will be and I need to finish the LK Flip It Stamps. They are all on one piece of fabric. I only have October, Nov and Dec to stitch on that. it is also a Christmas gift.

Another good day

I stitched on more of the deer today. I had hoped to finish this section but other things came up today. Tomorrow is ornament day but the rest of the week I will stitch on this and I am hoping it will be done by the end of the week.
Watched NASCAR, well most of it. Tony Stewart won the race. I never did catch the end of the Buffalo Bills game so I am not sure who won but I will find out soon. Last time I saw it they were ahead.

Productive Day!

Everyone was gone most of the day so I finished Season 3 of Gilmore Girls and stitched the day away. DH and DS#1 were at work. DS#2 had a friend over for a couple of hours and then went to DS#2's girlfriend's house. DH picked up DS#2 on the way home from work so at 10:00 they all walked in the door. The quiet was nice and no one to cook for. I made a huge pot of hamburger soup last night. So when DS#1 and Dh went to work they took some of that with them. DS#2 and his friend had some for lunch and I had some for lunch and for supper.

Good Stitching Day

I had a pretty good day today. I finished the bottom left section of the stocking and stitched the white on the bottom right. Then I switched and stitched up the Autumn Bread Cover. I go to Curves 3 times a week and my instructor's ;ast day is tomorrow. She will be greatly missed so I stitched up the bread cover for her as a Thank You.
I am on disc 3 or 4 of Sesaon 2 of Glmore Girls. Plus I watched a disc of Tripping The Rift. It is a sci fi crude cartoon show. it is really funny. Then tonight I watched: Smallville, The O.C. , Supernatural and DVRd Grey's Anatomy.
DS#1 will be filling in at the gas station where DS#2 works and DH is the manager. Since DS#2 will be on crutches for a couple of more weeks and someone else quit the gast station, then DS#1 is going to fill in.
We got quite a snow flurry this afternoon and everything is covered. Yuck!

scissor fobs for sale

SBQ and updates

I finished 2 sports ornaments on Monday. Then I finished Twisted Oaks Model piece, today. Then picked up Snowy Forest evening Stocking and got quite a bit stitched on that while watching Gilmore Girls Season 2, Tonights Bones and then Lost.

Today's SBQ was suggested by Lee (http://lakestitcher.blogspot.com/)and is:
How did you decide on the title of your stitching blog? Was it random,or does it have a special meaning to you or about you?

Musings to me is posting about anything that comes to mind and what I am doing.

productive day

I put away all my floss and charts. I have been stitching on Twisted Oaks Designs model piece so no pics. Watched disc 3 of season 2 of Gilmore Girls. Tonight I watched Smallville and Supernatural. No reading time again :-(

I am home

I am back from Myrtle beach and I had a great time with the Cross Stitch pals Fall Fling. Above is a picture of everyone that was there.
I won these 3 ornaments in an exchange :-) I just love them!
I bought this tshirt from Down Sunshine Lane. it is perfect!
These are all of the patterns that i cam home with. I either bought them or they were in my registration packet. Now I can't buy anymore til next years reunion.
I bought this fabric as well. the heatherfield was on sale and a piece of fabric was in my registration packet.
While in MB I finished July, August and September LK Stamps. I was so proud of myself.

I also finished Vermillion Stitchery ornament from the 2003 JCS ornament issue. Then yesterday I stitched on Imaginating, Inc. ornament from the 1999(?) JCS issue.

I had so much fun at the convention. The first couple of days there it was overcast and rainy but it was warm. I was so busy that I never set foot on the beach. I usually walk every morning, on the beach, but this year didn't. Next year is the 10 year anniversary and my whole family is going :-)

I am getting back into my routine at home and a little tired. I am watching season 2 of Gilmore Girls, on DVD. I am also stitching a model piece for Twisted Oaks designs. That is moving quickly for me.

I forgot 2 pics. Friday at the Pals reunion, someone paid for me to take the ornament class. I finished 2 ornaments there and didn't take pics. the class was taught by Mary of M Designs. She is a sweet lady as is her whole family. Thank you Mary for the wonderful class.

A BIG thank you to Amy for putting on this reunion as it is a lot of hard work and time.

I am in Cincinnati, Ohio

Yesterday I woke up to an inch of snow. Buffalo is an hour away and they got 2 feet. Anyways our school was closed due to power outages. The boys were mad as it was homecoming and the dance was supposed to be last night. Anyways, I was supposed to meet a friend after the dance, and drive the thruway. But the thruway was closed for 18 hours so I had to change my route to get to her. We met up at 6:30 last night and headed out. For those of you who don't know, I am on my way to the Cross Stitch Pals Reunion in Myrtle Beach. We got in Cincinnati early this morning and stayed at an Inn. We will pick up 2 friends who live here and head to Tennessee for the night. I will check in here when I get a chance, again.

WIP pic and an exchange pic

I received this Halloween exchange from Julianne, through US exchange board. I just love everything.

This week I stitched on the stocking. I finished the backstitching on the left corner and started another section and then backstitched that. i am on another section now. This will be put away til I get back from Myrtle Beach. Yes, I am going to Myrtle Beach for the Cross Stitch Pals Reunion. I leave tonight and will be there on Tuesday.
I am taking my laptop so I am hoping to keep this updated a few times.

DS#2 is doing well with his leg. He did hurt it a little more but a different section. Just a small pulled muscle. he slipped and fell in the shower but is ok.
Today was our first snowfall, a very wet one and everything is covered and beautiful but way to early. There is no school as the town is without power. They are being told they might not get it back til Tuesday but I find that hard to believe. Tonight was our Homecoming dance and the boys each had a date. Now it looks like that won't happen either.

Yesterday did not go as planned!!

I had planned on going to Curves, workout and then scrapbook with my instructor there. She is doing and album that is a gift for a wedding Friday. I went around the circuit twice since I have a bad cold or sinuses. Then started to help her with the scrapbook. My cell phone starts ringing and I notice the number is for the school. DS#2 has broken his leg and will I come get him. Our ambulance service no longer transports and to wait for the city one would take at least 30 min. Since DH is just up the road from where I was, I went and got him. Get to the school and DS is in tears. Nurse said he turned green and almost was sick. Get him to the ER, they were waiting for us. It is his right leg. He has a fracture on the right side and a torn ligament on the left side. Has pain pills, crutches and pills for the swelling. No cast, just a leg brace. All the nurses just love his eyes. My son seems to attract girls/women of all ages. I take him to school as it was ending, to get work he missed and tons of girls are ooohing and awwing over him. I told him he is a little man whore LOL.Now to tell you what happened. They were playing football in gym and a another boy landed on his leg. I am sure that this other boy feels horrible and I told DS to be nice to him tomorrow.Meanwhile I have been sick and all I wanted to do was sleep. Waiting in the hospital sure is tiring as well, must be the smell of meds. DS is having a fit because he can't work this weekend so no money coming in. Plus we have to wait on him and he really hates that. He is very independent. He is 14 and I can't believe this is his first broken bone. He has always been a little daredevil and expected him to hurt himself many times before now.He is sleeping soundly now and DH will drop him off at school in the morning. He has a key for the elevator, at school and will get help from friends to carry his books and such. I am sure most of them will be girls :-)So no stitching for me or reading a book. I am awake at this hour , almost 3:30am because I went to bed at 8 and guess I got enough sleep. I will go back to bed soon.

BC Snappers is DONE!!!

Woohoo I finished it. All I have to buy is some black snaps for a couple of them. This will be done as a wallhanging and is a Christmas gift.

Von wanted to know since I go to Myrtle Beach a few days earlier than the convention, if I take time for myself. Yes I do. Some years DH goes with me , some years DH and both boys go with me. We make it a vacation for all of us and then when the reunion starts they go off and do things together. But this year and 2 years ago I rode with 3 other women and had a blast. We stop in Tenessee for a night and then in Manning , SC with Amy(owner of Cross Stitch pals) and then head on to the Beach.

Tony Stewart won todays NASCAR race and coasted most of the last lap since he ran out of gas. That was amazing.
Buffalo Bills beat Minnesota, woohoo!!!

Tonight is Desperate Housewives. I will DVR it though as I have to pick up DS#2 from work at 9.
Friday and yesterday I finished up the DVDs season 2 discs 2 & 3 of grey's Anatomy. I have Gilmore Girls season 1 to watch as I borrowed that from DS#1's friend.

productive week

This is how much I have accomplished on BC Snappers as of last Sunday. I need to finish November and then start December. I am hoping to get quite a bit done on it this weekend.
I stitched on Snowy Forest Evening Stocking Tuesday morning - Thursday night and got alot accomplished. The bottom left just has a little bit of backstitching left on it.
I stitched on the Vermillion ornament, from the 2003 JCS ornament Issue. This I did on Monday the 25th in honor of Christmas. Should be done in October. Has a little bit of the beard to fill in then the backstitching.

I also finished reading A Wedding in December by Anita Shreve. it was ok, kind of slow. Now I am reading Cold Blooded by Lisa Jackson. So far it is good.

Have been watching DVD and TV shows. All caught up to Tuesday nights House. On Second season disc 2 of Grey's Anatomy. DS#1 has a friend that owns all seasons of Gilmore Girls and I have never watched that show so I will be borrowing them :-). I get a lot of stitching time in while watching DVDs LOL.

Today I am going to the LNS. I need to buy for a Pals Parcel and for the grab bag in Myrtle Beach. That's right , it is that time of year when I go to Myrtle Beach and have a Cross Stitch Pals reunion. I leave on the 13th and will be back around the 23rd. Taking my laptop so I can check emails and post on my blog.

Playing Cathc Up!

I have been stitching away. I finished a model piece for Twisted Oaks Designs. I am still stitching sports ornaments on Mondays. Stitching on Snowy Forest Evening Stocking Tues-Thurs. BC Snappers Fri-Sun. I am on November Snapper so that has moved right along. I will post pics later.
Watched last season of House and I have 2 episodes from this season to watch and then I am caught up. I am now watching last seasons Grey's Anatomy , on DVD and DVRing this seasons til I am caught up. DS#1 has a friend who owns all the seasons of Gilmore Gilrs and I never watched them so i will be borrowing them and DVRing this seasons. DH told me I should watch Criminal Minds so I will be adding that to my TV viewing this year as well.
This past weekend was the apple Umpkin Festival and my church has beef on weck, soup and pies. I make the soup and made 8 pots total. We had about 1/2 of a beef pot and 1/2 of a turkey pot, left over so we did real well.
I am reading A Wedding In December by Anita Shreve, it is a little slow. Any USA members who love to read and share books please join my Readnswap Yahoo group. We would love new members. This group has been around for several years and i have read many books through the group.
2 weeks ago I ran the book Fair at the middle school and that went over really well. I did buy 2 PC games. Mall Tycoon 3 , which is a blast and Paws & Claws Pet Vet. it is fun as well.

So what does everyone watch on TV? I watch:
Live! with Regis and Kelly
Rachel Ray
The View
Megan Mullolly Show
General Hospital
Oprah
Desperate Housewives
7th heaven
Vanished
Runaway
The Class
House
Standoff
Gilmore Girls(DVRing)
Veronica Mars
Bones
Criminal Minds(Dvring)
Kidnapped
Lost
Grey's Anatomy (DVRing)
Smallville

I get more stitching done when the Fall Season starts and I only watch the Talk shows if I have time and if they have something good on it.

I stitched on BC September Snapper, all weekend and finished it . Was a quiet weekend here. Friday night DH, DS#2 and I went to a local high school football game. Was a very close score. Saturday was lazy. Today went to church and then stitched while watching House season 2 disc 1. I plan on reading more of the Angry Housewives eating Bon Bons, when I get off the computer.

This week will be super busy so not sure how much reading and stitching will get done. I am in charge of the PTO book fair this week so I will be working every day 10-12:30. Tomorrow night I have a bookcrossing meeting. Tuesday night DS#2 and I are going to an Aerosmith concert. Wednesday night is our middle school open house so I am running the book fair during that. Looks like Thursday and Friday night are free, so far LOL. I will need to sleep all next weekend LOL.
