Stitching on fishing stocking

I did stitch on 2 more cards from the M Designs ornament class. I am not taking pics of those though. I am getting alot done on Fishing Santa Stocking.

MIA again

I have been staying busy and now I am sick with a sinus infection. Has me down and out and I don't feel like doing anything but came here to say hi and I need to post a pic of the progress on the fishing santa stocking. Hopefully I will get that done within the next couple of days.
Our tax refudn check came in and we needed a few things. Dylan went to the really nice used clothes for teens. They carry Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, American eagle and Aeropostle clothes. So Dylan got 3-4 pairs of jeans, 4 shirts and a little under $100. Can't beat that price for those designers and they don't look worn. Scott and I got a pair of sneakers. We have always bought New Balance but the last couple of pairs we bought, hurt our feet at our jobs. So I got Oasics gel sneakers and Scott got Nike. They were on sale. Justin wasn't around but he told me he doesn't need anything. Then the 3 of us went to The Outback , for dinner. We had prime rib , which was a little tough for some reason. Got home around 8:30 and I went on the computer and played SimCity4 Deluxe Edition. Scott channeled surf, drives me up the wall when he does that lol.
Today I just want to veg in front of the TV and stitch on some more things from thr M Designs ornament class.

How was your weekend?

My weekend was fun. Friday I didn't have to go to work so my car got washed. The bugs were horrible on the windshield and front bumper.
Went out with 8 other women from Curves. We do this once a month. We ended up going to Margarita's, which is a Mexican restaurant. We had a lot of fun.
I always stitch an ornament on the 25th of each month. Well Friday was pretty busy so I didn't get to my ornament til Saturday. This is JCS 2007 Brittercup Poinsettia. I am not sure how I want to finish it yet.
This card was from a ornament, etc kit class that i took in Myrtle Beach, with the Cross Stitch pals. The class was with M Designs. I started it back in October and finished it up today. Then I kitted up another card to start next weekend.
During all of this stitching I watched quite a bit of TV
DVDs:
Catch and Release - really good
Nancy Drew- was ok
Ratatouille - cute
VCR:
Grey's Anatomy
Lost
General Hospital
Ghost Whisperer
TV:
some Nascar today
Desperate Housewives

I even had a chance to read a little bit. I am reading Kitty Goes To washington by Carrie Vaughan

This week I will be stitching on Fishing Santa Stocking.

a nice weekend

We have had beautiful weather and it is nice to have the windows open again and breathing in the fresh air. Nothing exciting this weekend here. I stitched, read and watched movies.
TV:
tonight's Desperate Housewives
DVR-
Ghost Whisperer 4/11
Medium 4/14
DVR:
August Rush- awesome movie but have kleenex ready
Across The Universe - watched about 15-20 minutes and did not care for it . I did like the music though :-)
The Seeker - enjoyed

Reading:
No Humans Involved - Kelley Armstrong - paranormal book and have enjoyed the other books in this series.

Stitching:
Finished KarenAZ's RR - Christmas Alphabet by Prairie Schooler and I stitched S and the K
I took M Designs Ornament class . at MB, in October and have pulled it out. Am working on a Christmas card that I started at the class. I will work on this kit of ornaments etc. on the weekends as part of the Cross Stitch Pals MB challenge . The card that I am doing is We Love The Winter Weather and will post a pic when I am done.

The kids go back to school tomorrow, after 2 weeks off. Which is a good thing because Dylan has had friends over almost every day and night since it started. Will be nice to have my house back :-) Work has been so slow and have only been getting in about 12 hours a week. Can't wait for this slow season to be over. it has been nice to get things done at home but bills don't get paid.

I have been playing 4 Sim City Deluxe Edition and having a blast building cities. Anyone else have this game?

No work today

My supervisor called and said not much to do today so I didn't have to go in. Caught up on some laundry and cleaned the living room.
I did finish the backstitching on the top left quarter of the stocking. I have decided to post a progress pic once a week. I started the bottom left quarter.
I also read quite a bit of Haunted by Kelley Armstrong.
As for watching TV. I watched general Hospital.
On The DVR I watched The Good Witch, which was a Hallmark movie. From Netflix I watched Evam Almighty, which I enjoyed more than Bruce Almighty.

Busy stitching away

I have been stitching quite a bit and watching TV. I started LK Spring Cottage Boxer and finished it tonight. Then I pulled out Fishing Santa Stocking and did some backstitching on this. I will continue to stitch on this most of the month.

While stitching for the past couple of days , I also watched quite a bit of TV.

Watched some of the NASCAR Race yesterday. Carl Edwards won and Scott won $60 at work on the race.

DVR:

Ghost Whisperer 4/4

General Hospital 4/4 , 4/7

Tin Man (SciFi)

Tonight I watched Medium

I also started reading Haunted by Kelley Armstrong.

The boys are on 2 weeks spring break so trying to keep them busy.

It's my birthday!

I had a really good day. Scott bought me a bottle of wine yesterday, but I have to wait til Saturday to open it as I am on meds for a sinus infection. Anyways he bought me the most beautiful card, that meant more to me than any gift. I stop at the local coffee shop every morning and this morning I got sung to and my coffee was free. The women at work treated me for lunch so we had chinese. I got home and my mom called me and my sister sent me a txt message :-)
So I sat and watched TV and stitched a little bit.
I watched:
TV- General Hospital
DVR - Smallville - 3/20 , 3/27
DVD - Enchanted

I stitched on LK Spring Cottage boxer, which is really cute.
I also started reading a book , Haunted by Kelley Armstrong

My March ornament is 2006 JCS Brittercup Britty Christmas Puppy ornament. I finished him today.
I also stitched quite a bit on the Fishing Santa Stocking but I will add a pic later this week. I want to get some small finishes done first.

I also finished a book I was reading. Greywalker by Kat Richardson which was pretty good.

Crazy weather

yes, we got the snow, sleet and freezing rain. About a foot of snow fell. DHs truck has been in the shop so he has had to use my sports car. Well this morning he had to open up at the gas station. Takes our back road and gets stuck in a snow drift. Breaks my transmission line. he is so nervous he calls me from his cell phone. Asks me to call 911 to get him towed out. I told him to call 911 and he said that sin't the number to call with a cell phone. Fine, he is nervous, I will call. Soo what does 911 say to me, call your husband back and have him call 911 so we can trace him. Ok, so I did. $130 later for a tow truck and now he is using Justin's car.
Anyways I have stayed in the house, nice and warm and dry. stitching, watching TV and reading. I watched I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and thought it was very funny. Not at all what i thought it was about. Today is 30 Days of Night on DVD.
Justin had Alex over for the weekend and Dylan has Vanessa over. So i told them I am going to throw them all out in the snowbank LOL. Well Dylan and vanessa decided to grab their baseball gloves and play catch out there. Good luck on finding the ball out there LOL.

January & February Finishes

I have been stitching a little bit this year and have a couple of finishes

This was my January ornament- JCS 2004 Brittercup Designs Noel Birdhouse

This is February's ornament - JCS 2005 Brittercup Designs Britty Christmas Kitty

I finished this over the weekend- M Designs Autumn Bag. it was a class that i took during the Pals Fall Fling

This was a kit from Mill Hill called Flying High. it was so much fun to stitch up.

SBQ of the week

After you stitch a pattern or kit, what do you do with it?

I try to give it away to someone. If no one wat=nts it thn I save it for PALS Fall Fling stash room or I throw it out.

Prayers Please

My friend's 23 year old son was in a serious car accident. He rolled his vehicle several times and was ejected from it. He has head trauma, fractured spinal cord. They put him in a medically induced coma for 4-6 weeks. Is in guarded condition but progressing. She works part time for Curves so no paid leave. Our Curves is taking donations to help her with gas, parking and food. She is not goiong to leave his side til he gets home. Any prayers would be helpful.

Changing Habits

I know we all go through changes with out tastes in cross stitching and every once a in a while we get rid of charts that we once liked and are no longer something that we want to stitch on. Well I am now going through that with books. I used to love V.C. Andrews and had read most of her series. So I am missing about 3 of her newer series and went to the library and got them all. I read one and started another and just can't get into these books anymore. it is always oh whoa is me, I am a rich person and girls and no good. So I am taking them all back to the library. Does anyone else go through this?

I stitched on a RR last weekend and now am stitching JCS 2005 Brittercup Designs britty Christmas Kitty. Very cute and a quick stitch. The only thing is while I was stitching the fabricseemes to be to small, that I cut. Lo and behold, read instructions. 1 strand over 1. Well DUH to me lol. So tore out what i had done and started over. Looks a lot better.
