Lexie has a job for Kiernan, who is a demigod. She is to find the "skin" or spirit of his mother and release it before his dad finds out.
Lexie has 2 wards she is taking care of and they are teenagers. Who are acting like spoiled brats. But they all act like family and have each other back. There is a lot of sarcasm in this book and sometimes I kept shaking my head. I found it a little slow though and had a hard time to keep picking it up but once I got about 3/4 of the way in then it picked up for me.
