Book Review: Capital Thirst by R.W. Buxton

Capital Thirst

DC bustles, the light from the city fills the night. But in the dark alleys and backstreets, only slivers of light from a full moon dance. In such an alley, a shadowy figure is hunched over a body. She lifts her head to reveal soulless eyes and fangs dripping with blood as she licks her lips with exhalation.

Standing up, she wipes her chin, and tosses her long black hair, then saunters away.

At FBI headquarters, Gerry examines the case files of wealthy men with no leads…

When predator and prey become one, no one is safe.

MY REVIEW

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This is a debut paranormal romance.
Erin is a vampire who has fallen in love with an FBI agent, Gerry, and his young daughter,Mary. Since Erin can't have children but always longed to be a mom then she has taken to this family and tries to spend as much time with Mary as she can. Gerry doesn't trust her and every time he turns around she has been in his face and in his home.
The man who turned Erin into a vampire, Garvila, is after her money and keeps blackmailing her. Even sends a couple of women out after her to teach her a lesson. Erin is not about to give into him.
I did enjoy reading this. I found Erin to be very pushy and bossy when it came to Mary. Gerry doesn't trust anyone and I think most of that is because of his job. I am hoping to continue on with this series.
I received this ARC for review.
