A small-town judge meets her match in a rodeo star troublemaker, but soon they may both end up targets of the town's matchmakers in this delightful and heartwarming tale of romance.

Darcy Jones Harper is thrilled to have finally shed her reputation as the girl from the wrong side of the tracks. The people of Sunshine Valley have to respect her now that she’s the new town judge. But when the bad boy who broke her heart back in high school shows up in her courtroom, she realizes maybe things haven’t changed so much after all . . . because her pulse still races at the sight of him.

Jason Petrie wants to make amends for the mistakes of his youth—starting with the woman he never stopped loving. Darcy may not believe that he really intends to quit the bull riding circuit and stick around this time but Jason vows—with the help of the matchmaking Widows Club—to pull out all the stops to convince her that they both deserve a second chance.

                                                 MY REVIEW:

Dream a Little Dream (Sunshine Valley #3)Dream a Little Dream by Melinda Curtis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

First off I want to let you know that I did not read the other 2 books of this trilogy but I felt like it read as a stand alone.
Darcy Jones Harper has lost her husband and he was a judge and her mentor. When he died then he made sure she was appointed as the new judge and he left her everything. Nothing to his sons or his ex girlfriend. Darcy grew up with parents and a brother who are criminals and spending time in jail. Because of that she has no respect and needs to earn it.
Jason Petrie is a rodeo star and recuperating from an injury, one that he is still hiding from. He is also Darcy's ex boyfriend, who they had a relationship with for years. He wants her back.
There is a dog in this book who seems to have seperation anxiety and stomach issues which had me laughing throughout the book.
Then there is the widows club who like to be matchmakers and they are quite meddlesome and funny.
Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for the ARC.

Prior to writing romance, award-winning, USA Today Bestseller Melinda Curtis was a junior manager for a Fortune 500 company, which meant when she flew on the private jet she was relegated to the jump seat—otherwise known as the potty. After grabbing her pen (and a parachute) she made the jump to full-time writer. Between writing sweet romance and sweet romantic comedy, Melinda finds time to bond with her husband over home remodeling projects. She recently came to grips with the fact that she’s an empty nester and a grandma, concepts easier to grasp than jet-setting on a potty.
