Review: The Suspect by Fiona Barton

The Suspect

When two eighteen-year-old girls go missing in Thailand, their families are thrust into the international spotlight: desperate, bereft, and frantic with worry. What were the girls up to before they disappeared?

Journalist Kate Waters always does everything she can to be first to the story, first with the exclusive, first to discover the truth--and this time is no exception. But she can't help but think of her own son, whom she hasn't seen in two years, since he left home to go travelling.

As the case of the missing girls unfolds, they will all find that even this far away, danger can lie closer to home than you might think...

MY Thoughts:

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Alex and Rosie are 18 and go to Thailand to see what is there. They end up missing. The parents don't hear from them and they are worried. Meanwhile journalist, Kate Waters gets involved and while searching for clues she can't help but wonder where her son is and what he is up to since she hasn't heard from him in a long time.
I found this story full of who did what and when and where. The police in Thailand were no help and makes you wonder if other countries do cover things up from foreigners. I really enjoyed this story but the Thailand police force really made me angry.
