Lieutenant Eve Dallas is no party girl, but she’s managing to have a reasonably good time at the celebrity-packed bash celebrating The Icove Agenda, a film based on one of her famous cases. It’s a little spooky seeing the actress playing her, who looks almost like her long-lost twin. Not as unsettling, though, as seeing the actress who plays Peabody—drowned in the lap pool on the roof of the director’s luxury building. Talented but rude, and widely disliked, K. T. Harris had made an embarrassing scene during dinner. Now she’s at the center of a crime scene—and Eve is more than ready to get out of her high heels and strap on her holster, to step into the role she was born to play: cop.
MY REVIEW:
Celebrity in Death by J.D. Robb
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
There is a movie being made from Nadine's book about a case that Eve Dallas and her partner Peabody had solved. Eve and Peabody are both freaked out when 2 actresses are made to look just like them. They are at a party for a viewing of the movie when the actress playing Peabody is found drowned in the pool. K.T. Harris is not really liked by anyone. She is a very mean and conniving person. No one seems to miss her but Eve and Peabody are determined to find out if it was an accident or murder.
I have always like the relationship between Eve and Peabody even though Eve sounds like such a badass. Plus with her hot husband Roarke you never know what is going to happen.
I am trying to get caught up on this series.
