another block and a half done

Today started worrying about my dog. He has just been acting weird. He is eating and going to the bathroom ok but he seemed to be moping and when DH touched him he yipped. I noticed the change in him yesterday but, like my kids, I was going to give him 2 days. DH works nights so the dog always sleeps with me, curled up next to me. An 83 lb rottie/shepherd mix, who is a big baby. Last night he wouldn't sleep with me, which is really strange. Today Scott was getting worried and told me to call the vet. So I got him in at 5pm. They thoroughly checked him over and could not find anything wrong with him. When we told her how the holidays were and no chocolate is ever left around and no plants in my house, he did have a ham bone but no throwing up from that. So she thinks he was just tired and his muscles were tired. See, my parents brought over their new dog, on Christmas day. They were playing all day. My dog is 10 1/2 years old and probably used some muscles he hasn't in a while. He is acting fine now. They did do some blood work, just as a precaution and will call me tomorrow. They don't think they will find anything. So I am feeling much better.

Dylan and his girlfriend had dinner with me and then we played a game of Phase 10.
The weather here was snowy and windy and very cold. It is 15F right now, bbrrr.

I did stitch a couple of hours tonight. I stitched up a block or two tonight on SK Rapunzel.

I watched Live with Kelly, General Hospital and another Christmas movie. Tonight's movie was Debbie Macomber's Trading Christmas. I loved it!

Today I listened to a few chapters of Port Mortuary by Patricia Cornwell and I also read a few chapters of The Finishing School by Muriel Spark.

Everyone stay safe and warm tonight.

Thank you for the comments and reading my blog. I have a few changes to make on here to get ready for 2012/

Page 4 QS Fragile Heart finished

I finished page 4 last week.
I can't wait to fit her in my 2012 rotation.

Tonight's progress on SK Rapunzel.
I did finish 2 blocks and started a 3rd. I will stitch on this all week. Then starting January 1 I will be doing a Crazy January Challenge with 15 new starts January 1 -15. They are all Halloween pieces.

Tonight I watched General Hospital and then Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage. It seems like every year when this is on, it coincides with something else I am watching. I DVrd it so I could watch it when I wanted to. Loved it!

I am getting ready to settle down with the book I am reading. The Finishing School by Muriel Spark.

We are in for some winter weather tomorrow and a warning for Lake Effect snow. Stay safe and warm everyone.

HAED progress

I have had a crazy month with longer hours at work, having to go to PA twice, for Dylan. While getting ready for Christmas. I hope that all of you had a great Christmas. Mine was really nice. I will post pics of Christmas day, hopefully tomorrow.

Today was spent doing a little after Christmas shopping. I had gotten a bonus from work and planned on buying things from my wish list, that I didn't get. So I went to FYI and bought some Nickelback CDs, Anneheim Steamrollers Christmas CD collections and Peanuts Holiday DVD collection.
Then came home and got caught up on BBs and Blogs. I did read all of my friend's blogs but I didn't lave many comments.
Then I sat and stitched while watching TV.

This is HAED SK Rapunzel.
