3 finishes

I had a very productive day today. Went grocery shopping. Washed a couple loads of laundry and cleaned around the house.

Set up my stitching for March. Also going through some books to see what I can get on audiobooks through the library.

Then I sat down to stitch. I finished this ornament
Little House Needleworks
JCS 2006 issue
Pear Tree Ornament

Then I finished another section of this
Lizzie Kate Boo Club
Black Cat

While stitching I finished listening to:
Fire & Ice - J.A. Jance
and started listening to:
Dark of the Moon - John Sandford

I also watched the ending of NASCAR - Jimmie Johnson won again this week.
I also watched Desperate Housewives.

Goodbye to February!
As you can see I have my March Goals listed. I did pretty good for February. I only got 3 books finished of 4 and didn't get 1 stitching project finished that I thought I would. Actually I wanted to finish Stitchy Kitty Valentines Kitty Moon but I didn't. Mill Hill Treats Collage was the one I had planned on finishing. Maybe for March?

Saturday SAT

I was starting to feel better and then would feel a little blah. Time to get out of the house and into the fresh air. Scott had to go to Walmart and I wanted to go to Michaels. So away we go. I got sinus meds and 2 photo boxes with index cards and indexed tabs so i can put my specialty threads in them. I hate having them haning off many of the loops. This will look neater. I get home and DUH, we forgot to go to Michaels. I need more DMC plastic bobbins to finish winding the DMC floss lol. Oh well, this week I can get the specialty threads organized and I did find another package of the plastic bobbins. Then I sat and stitched. I got most of the Pear Tree done and have just the border left. Will finish it today.

Then I pulled out S is For Stitcher and started adding the alphabet.
I did listen to some more of Fire & Ice by J.A. Jance. I also watched a few shows that Scott had one, mostly channel surfing.

Today I will finish the ornament and then stitch on LK Boo Club. Should get my February goals listed as well.

Friday Stitch A Thon

I was supposed to stitch on an ornament Thursday in honor of Christmas but I came home sick from work. So I ended up sleeping all day. Then Friday I stayed home sick and slept most of the day. I ended up pulling out the ornament around 7pm for my Friday night Stich a Thon, with the Yahoo group and Let's Stitch blog. So this is how much I got done.

It is LHN Pear Tree Ornament from the JCS 2006 issue. I did this and watched TV all night. Started out watching Smallville and then all of this week's General Hospital episodes. Stopped stitching around 12:30. I am hoping to finish it today and listen to the audiobook Fire & Ice by J.A. Jance.

We ended up getting about a foot of snow. Schools were closed and it snowed all day and is still snowing. So I have no plans to go anywheres. Besides my sinuses are still kicking my bitt and will send Scott to the store for some meds. The sinuses are draining and making me nauseous. Everything tastes yucky so I haven't eaten much. Scott made me mashed potatoes because they sounded really good, yuck tastes like salt. The saltine crackers that I have , all I taste is the salt. By 5:00 is was starving. Scott wanted chicken fingers and fries and I wanted mozzarella sticks and they tasted so good and I even had a chicken fingers. Now I am hungry for breakfast and I still feel my sinuses draining. I used to love Sudafed but they took out 1 ingredient and it no longer works for me so I have to find a new medicine.

more Queen progress

Today did not start out well for Dylan. he had been complaining of his ear hurting. So I told him to take today off from school and make a doctor's appointment. he said he would wait a few more days. The ear started hurting last Saturday and it is now wednesday with a big snowstorm on the way. He ended up getting an appointment this afternoon. Meanwhile this morning, he was running an errand for his dad. The car in front of him slammed on their brakes and Dylan hit them. They took off. Dylan still called the cops. he doesn't have collision on his car and there was minor damage. No ticket as the other people took off and no witnesses. He also was not hurt. He did make it to his appointment and he has bacteria in his ear from humidity. Well DUH! he sleeps with a bedroom window open which is above his bed. he has a prescription for antibiotics.

I have been listening to Fire & Ice by J.A. Jance, very good. I also stitched a for a couple of hours and met my goal for the month on this piece.

We are in a winter storm watch til Friday night. 1-2 feet and blowing snow. Supposed to start early morning. Scott will be taking me to work so I don't have to drive in it on the way home. I made sure my ipod is charged so I can listen to audiobooks. I also charged the battery for my laptop so I can play games on it or watch a DVD, in case the power goes out.
We have plenty of food and water. I also have a gas stove and can use that to cook.

A Queen's Evening

I pulled out Mirabilia Winter Queen for today. The last time I stitched on this was March of last year. I didn't get a lot done but a little bit is better than nothing.
This week's Tuesday movie was Whiteout. The boys and I enjoyed it. Then I watched Lost and The Forgotten. Can't believe it is the last season of Lost.

Well we are supposed to get a storm starting Thursday and lasting through Saturday. Coming down heavy and supposed to be heavy snow. Good weekend to just stay home :-)

A reading night

A few people were telling me that we have a wintry mix coming in today and would hit between 3pm-5pm. Well I hadn't heard anything. Around 2 it started snowing and by 2:45 my manager said "get going woman" lol. Ok away i went. The snow was coming down really hard but when I got out side of Batavia it was turning to mist. In Le Roy it was just mist and I stopped at the grocery store. You know how it is the day after grocery shopping and you remember a few things? So I leave there and now head to Pavilion library, an audiobook is in and I have some to return. It isn't doing anything there. I head on home. I get some things going for supper and now it is snowing again.

I decided to sit and read tonight since I started a book 2 weeks ago and it is the first one in a series. I can't get it on audiobook at the library and I owned the book. So I am reading Edge of Evil by J.A. Jance. I can not put this book down. It is a newer series of hers.

Scott gets up to get ready for work. Goes out and starts up his truck. He said it is raining out. He takes his shower and leaves. Dylan comes home a few minutes later and says it is snowing so hard he couldn't see and was driving 25 mph. That's not good. So I call Scott and he will let me know when he makes it to work. It was snowing really hard in Le Roy but by the time he got to where he works it wasn't doing anything there. Weird weather.

I did watch 24 tonight and it was really good. I read during the commercials. I have 50 more pages to go and I really want to finish it tonight so good night everyone and if you are getting bad weather be safe. Scott said if it is bad in the morning then he will take me to work. He is such a sweetheart :-)

Hoping to post about my dream I had Saturday night and then what happened at work today haha.

Halloween Sunday

When I got up this morning I went through my crock pot cookbooks to make soup every day this week, well except for Tuesdays , which is for junk food and a movie night.
Justin and I decided to go to our favorite grocery store, Wegmans. Today's soup was Vegetable beef barley soup. Scott liked it and said next time add a little more beef bouillon. So I made a notation.
Then I sorted through and started laundry. Organized my SAL rotation for the year.
Sat down and watched TV and then pulled out a UFO Mill Hill Treats Collage. I even had a to frog a little of what I stitched last time. I don't know when I will work on this again since I wanted to finish it this month.

I only watched the end of the NASCAR race. Congrats to Jimmie Johnson for the win. I have 3 favorite drivers. Kasey Kahne, Jamie McMurray, and Carl Edwards. Not sure where they ended up finishing.
I also watched The Nanny Diaries movie and enjoyed that. I had read the book, when it first came out.
Extreme Home Makeovers was really good since I am a fan of KISS.
Next was Desperate Housewives.
While I was doing all that I was uploading audiobooks onto my computer and they are now in my ipod. Yes, I am OCD and a multitasker LOL.
The 3 Audiobooks are John Sandford: Dark of the Moon, Heat Lightning, and Rough Country. It is a new series by this author.

Valentine Kitty

Work was busier than it had been all week. Got home and got things together to stitch for tonight's SAT. Decided on Stitchy Kitty Valentine Kitty Moon. At first I wasn't sure if it would happen. For some reason the power went out at 4:10 but it finally came back on at 5:05. At 6:00 I started it.

I think I got quite a bit done.

I watched 2 TV shows:
General Hospital - kind of getting sick of all the story lines
Smallville

I watched 2 movies:
Kung Fu Panda - cute
The Bucket List - really good

Tomorrow's SAT will be S is for Stitcher. I do need to clean in the morning though. The house is a mess.

Thursday's Threads

Was really dead again at work. Ended up doing some cleaning and organizing.
Came home and watched General Hospital and wound some of the DMCs 3000s on bobbins. But I ran out of plastic bobbins and will have to buy more this weekend.
Watched TV and ended up stitching quite a bit on HAED Fly Butterfly. This is being put away for a while.

TV shows watched:
Vampire Diaries 2/11
Supernatural 2/11
Grey's Anatomy
Private Practice

wacky Wednesday

We have had some nasty weather today. it started snowing around 1:30 and since work was dead, and I did housecleaning there my manager told me I could go home at 2. Snow was coming down pretty good but not quite sticking to the roads. Once I got onto my road, in the country, that was a different story. The plows must have been out pushing the snowbanks off the shoulder of the roads towards the fields. So the snowbanks were the height of my car. With the winds blowing it made some rough driving and whiteout conditions. Once I was home I stayed put. I started some laundry and made lasagna. Caught up on the blogs that I read. The pulled out my stitching of HAED Fly Butterfly. As you can see I finished the one column I was working on. Then decided to start with the first symbol on the chart and do areas. Made a little progress.

I also wound 3000s floss on bobbins while watching General Hospital. Then tonight I started watching a Netflix movie called Blind Date, with Stanley Tucci. It was very boring so after 20 minutes I turned it off. I ended up watching DVRd shows of :
Supernatural - 2/4
Smallville - 2/5 , 2/12

The weatherbug is telling me that we are getting freezing drizzle overnight and have a winter weather advisory til 11 am tomorrow. Sounds like fun to me. NOT!

HAED Fly Butterfly

Do any of you remember this piece? I started it February of last year and haven't stitched on it since July. It is in rotation this week and am enjoying it.

I watched General Hospital and got all of the extra 900 DMCs in the Jammers box. I am so glad as I had 2 bags of this floss and didn't think I would ever get them done. Now onto the 3000s.

Tuesdays is a movie with my boys. We watched Don't Mess with the Zohan. it has Adam Sandler, who I love. Justin didn't want to watch it and said it would be stupid. I got to pick the movie and told him to bad. Well it was funny stupid and we laughed a lot. We ended up liking it and Justin seemed glad to have watched it.

Then I watched Vampire Diaries from 2/4 and then Lost and The Forgotten.

Tomorrow night I am hoping to watch the Netflix movie that I have sitting here.

Pictureless Monday

We weren't busy at work so I got to leave at noon. Came home and did dishes and laundry.

While watching General Hospital I got the last of the DMC 900's on bobbins and started putting them in the jammer. I thin I need to buy 1 or 2 more though.

I got caught up on all the blogs that i read and left lots of comments.

I watched House even though it was a repeat and watched 24 and then I was surfing to see what was on and ended up watching a 2 hour episode of Clean House The Messiest House, which took place in Cinicinnati, Ohio. Wow, what a lot of clutter. I loved the house when it was done though. I like this show and clean sweep because I get some neat ideas from them.

All the time I watched all these shows I put in all the gridding of HAED Fly Butterfly. I started the stitching last year but after using the gridding method with the other 2 HAEDs I had to do it. I don't grid with any other patterns but find it so helpful with these as it is all solid stitching and tons of confetti stitching.

Well it is way past my bedtime, night all!

Halloween Sunday on Valentines Day

This was taken yesterday before we went out for dinner. Scott took me to Carrabbas Italian food. I had lobster Ravioli, which I have always wanted to try. Scott had lasagne, which was good. I didn't get any stitching in yesterday so no pics.
Today I got up and went grocery shopping. Came home and did some dishes and laundry. I made Scott Hamburger Stroganoff since it is one of his favorite dishes. Sat and stitched all night. I was not happy with the Daytona 500 and all the stopping and waiting so I ended up just turning it off. I watched all the Lost episodes of this season and then this past Tuesday's episode of The Forgotten. I stitched on LK Boo Flip Its. Stitched more of the border and then started Black Cat. I am having fun stitching this.
This week I will be stitching on HAED Fly Butterfly. Hope to get a lot accomplished on it.

Friday night SAT

My manager came back to work Friday at noon. I got to leave at 2 but I am sure tired and sore lol. I did go get new sneakers. Plus the bettery died, in my watch, a couple of months ago. So I got that done as well. Then came home and stitched on HAED SK Mermaid of the Deep.
Today is S is For Stitcher from a Cross Country Stitching magazine.
last night I watched all of the General Hospital episodes on the DVR. I have a Netflix movie that I would like to watch today. Have no idea what hubby has planned for today.

a Mermaid night

I know I didn't post last night. I didn't have anything to say. I was reading blogs all night, well....while I kept nodding off. My manager has been out all week, still, and I am in charge. The 2 of us at work did way to much and I was so tired last night that I was falling asleep at the computer. I read everyone's blogs though and only posted comments on a few.

Tonight I watched last Friday's General Hospital's episode and then some of Monday's. Then I watched Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. I also stitched on HAED SK Mermaid of the Deep. I did get quite a bit stitched on it. I also will stitch on it tomorrow night before putting it away tile next month.

Today I started reading a new series by J.A. Jance. The book is Edge of Evil. I have read 58 pages and am hooked already so I am hoping to read quite a bit this weekend.

Does anyone have plans for Valentines day? I don't have any plans and I have no idea what hubby has planned.

Next week I need to get new sneakers as my feet have been killing me. I also realized that I haven't had my eyebrows done or a haircut since last June and I am in dire need. I can't do anything with my hair and my eyebrows are really ugly.

Well I need to get to bed. Have a good night.

HAED stitching

This week I will be stitching on HAED SK Mermaid of the Deep. I finished just about 3 more squares today. Out of my funk now , from earlier today. Just getting tired now.

My manager called and said she will be out again tomorrow. No problem, I hope her daughter feels better.

Tonight's TV:
General Hospital - 2/4/10
House
24

2 audiobooks came in the library today. They are only opened on Tuesdays, 10am-12:30pm so I will have to sweet talk Scott into picking them up tomorrow morning. otherwise I have to wait til Wednesday when I get out of work.

night all,
Shelleen

In a blah mood

Got up and went to work. Had to be the manager today as my manager has a very sick child at home. Everything went ok at work. But something happened while I was trying to do a recheck. Computer issues and having to call our main office in Maryland made me run late. I was supposed to go to my Book Cross get together ( I hate calling them meetings). My car has been acting up and Dylan had class tonight and even though he was willing to swap vehicles with me I told him to never mind. So tomorrow my car goes back into the shop. We think it is the rotor. Like I said Dylan's class is much closer than where I had to go. But it was windy today and our road was getting icy and everyone knows that I HATE driving in snow and especially ice. So there was no way I would drive Dylan's car. I am in a funk because the last 30 minutes of work bummed me out and now no book get together. So I read everyone's blogs and didn't even feel like leaving any comments. What is wrong with me? I love leaving comments. Anyways I guess I have been on here long enough so I should go and stitch for 3 hours. if I feel like it I will post a progress pic.

Treats is done

Halloween Sunday had a late start. I was catching up on laundry and went grocery shopping. Then had to put food together for the Super Bowl, sorry the Colts lost :-(
But I did finish Treats. Next Sunday will be stitching some more of the border.
I did manage to watch 3 episodes of general Hospital, before the Super Bowl came on.

I liked 3 ads during the Super Bowl.
1. Doritos with the boy slapping the man and saying Don't touch my mom and don't touch the doritos.
2. Budweiser with the human bridge
3. Google for Paris

Most of the ads were stupid and I forget what the Ad was for with all the men in underwear for casual Friday. Oh yeah it was for Monster.com I believe. That was just wrong. Then there was another ad for jeans and men were running in their underwear. And they were not skinny , nice looking men, eww.

SK Mermaid of the Deep

Last night was the SAT with Let's Stitch blog and Stitching Sisters Yahoo group. So I stitched on HAED SK Mermaid of the Deep. I will also stitch on it all next week.

I ended up watching Ghost Whisperer, which I think is one of my favorite episodes now. Then Medium was on and that was good. I really wanted to stitch for 2 more hours last night but I was falling asleep.

Today I will be stitching on S is for Stitching from a Cross Country Stitching mag.
Our household is also getting our taxes done. Since both boys work we make it a family thing :-)

Wishy Washy Wednesdays

That is the first thing that popped into my head for a title tonight. No stitching last night and tonight I stitched on HAED Aurora's Garden. No, I did not finish it on time. Besides, the girlfriend broke up with DS#2 so I am not in a hurry to get this to her. I am not mad or upset that they broke up and he has met someone else (he hates being alone).
While stitching tonight I also listened to Damage Control by J.A. Jance. I am on disc 7 .

I will post a progress pic tomorrow night since Thursdays are my big TV watching night.

Night all,
Shelleen

Bookmark finish

I finished the bookmark that I stitched up for an exchange. I will ba taking it with me to the bookmeeting next Monday night. It is from some odd bookmark leaflet that i had. it is stitched on an 18 ct aida. I will fringe the edges and back it with felt.
I also stitched a little bit more on HAED Aurora's Garden but I will wait and take a pic later in the week.

While I stitched I watched tonight's episodes of House and 24.

I also listened a little bit to Damage Control by J. A. Jance, while I was at work.
