SAL weekend

I stitched a lot this weekend. Scott mentioned visiting his parents yesterday but we never did. I don't know why he changed his mind. So we were home all day and so I stitched. it was a SAT with OOE BB and Stitching Sisters Yahoo group. I got quite a bit done. The TV was one but I never watched a whole movie.I did manage to get more done on HAED SK Sunny.

Today I woke up to rain. It was cool out as well, which I enjoyed. So after getting things done online I pulled out Springberry Kreek Cat-O-Lantern. Sunday is Halloween SAL with Stitching Sisters Yahoo group. I got the top part of the cat done and started working on the pumpkin. I have loved this design since I bought it in 1999 and am so glad that I finally pulled it out.
Today I did watch a lot of TV. I watched General Hospital from Friday and oh the ending had me so mad.
Then I watched a few Lifetime Movies that I had DVRd:
One Hot Summer
Joy Fielding's The Other Woman
Gospel of Deceit

Tonight I watched True Blood. Only 2 episodes left for the season.

I am still doing well eating healthy and staying with Weight Watchers and eating the points. I learned to eat more of the filling foods and it does work. The Wii said that I have lost 3 lbs since Thursday morning. Not sure how accurate it is.

SATs

Wednesday night I stitched some more on HAED SK Sunny. This is the new SAL with the HAED BB.
Thursday night I didn't stitch at all. I got out of work and took Justin to the movies. We saw the new Twilight movie, Eclipse. We enjoyed it. It was nice because neither of us want the popcorn and pop. It gets to expensive. So we ate at home afterwards. We are thinking of going to the movies every week. Just the 2 of us. We want to see The Sorcerer's Apprentice , which starts this week.

Last night was SAT with Let's Stitch Blog and Stitching Sister's Yahoo group. So I pulled out HAED SK Mermaid of the Deep and got some more done on that. I watched Wednesday, Thursday and Friday's episodes of General Hospital and then watched a movie from Netflix, Remember Me. It had Pierce Brosnan in it and the girls who plays Claire in Lost, and the actor who plays Edward in the Twilight series. Was slow at first and then it got better and the ending was a big surprise and needed kleenex.

I went to the LNS in the morning. I needed Kreinik gold but they were out of the silver. So she had one car of something else to substitute(mind is blank right now)it with. I know I need more of this but she said I had enough. I don't think so.

Came home to stitch on Joan Elliott's Spring Angel. It was a SAT piece with the Only One Ewe BB and Stitching Sisters Yahoo group. Plus it is my incentive piece with the Only One Ewe BB. I got quite a bit stitched on despite that i am working with Kreinik BF.

Spring Angel progress Saturday SAT

Saturday was the SAT with the Only One Ewe BB and Stitching Sisters Yahoo group. I stitched on Joan Elliott's Spring Angel. I wanted to back stitch what I had done so far but I need Kreinik cord in silver - 2 spools- so I will have to order some.

I also watched a movie:
The Other Boleyn Girl. Awesome movie but hate how women were treated back then. I would have never made it past 12 lol.

Scott and I went and visited my parents as I had to pick up a book to read and then we went to Wegmans to get the grocery shopping done. Plus in the same town is our favorite sub shop so grabbed that for dinner. The book I picked up is from the author and our book club won the books and will be discussing it with the author on a phone interview with her. The book is The Memory Thief by Rachel Keener. Read the back blurb and it sounds really good.

Today is Halloween SAL with the Stitching Sisters Yahoo group. I will be stitching on Mill Hill Treats Collage.

Easter kitty

We weren't busy at work today. Had a little problem with online service going down but it wasn't down for long. 40 degrees cooler today than yesterday and so my sinuses are kicking in again.
Scott had to work tonight, Justin had to babysit and Dylan was at his girlfriend's house. So since tonight was, a StitchaThon with Stitching Sisters Yahoo group and Let's Stitch blog, I sat and stitched all evening. I started this new piece.

Stitchy Kitty Easter Kitty Moon
28 ct Millenium Blue Cashel Linen

while watching:
Bones
Ghost Whisperer
Medium
Smallville

I don't know if I will get much stitching time in tomorrow. I have plans with my mom. For my birthday she bought us tickets for Taste of Home Cooking at my kid's school. They have it all over at different schools every year. We tried to go last year and we sent in our money but it was already booked. So my mom sent away for the tickets early and is my birthday gift from my parents. Looks like it will be a lot of fun.

Friday Stitch A Thon

I was supposed to stitch on an ornament Thursday in honor of Christmas but I came home sick from work. So I ended up sleeping all day. Then Friday I stayed home sick and slept most of the day. I ended up pulling out the ornament around 7pm for my Friday night Stich a Thon, with the Yahoo group and Let's Stitch blog. So this is how much I got done.

It is LHN Pear Tree Ornament from the JCS 2006 issue. I did this and watched TV all night. Started out watching Smallville and then all of this week's General Hospital episodes. Stopped stitching around 12:30. I am hoping to finish it today and listen to the audiobook Fire & Ice by J.A. Jance.

We ended up getting about a foot of snow. Schools were closed and it snowed all day and is still snowing. So I have no plans to go anywheres. Besides my sinuses are still kicking my bitt and will send Scott to the store for some meds. The sinuses are draining and making me nauseous. Everything tastes yucky so I haven't eaten much. Scott made me mashed potatoes because they sounded really good, yuck tastes like salt. The saltine crackers that I have , all I taste is the salt. By 5:00 is was starving. Scott wanted chicken fingers and fries and I wanted mozzarella sticks and they tasted so good and I even had a chicken fingers. Now I am hungry for breakfast and I still feel my sinuses draining. I used to love Sudafed but they took out 1 ingredient and it no longer works for me so I have to find a new medicine.

Snowy day

The day started clear and Scott took me to work since we knew the storm was coming. We got to work at 8:00 and him and Dylan took off for the Rez to get cigarettes. Schools had already closed all around us for the oncoming storm. Well I got a txt message that they didn't make it to the Rez. Within 30 minutes the roads were already dicey and they saw a car flipped over. My supervisor decided to close the lab so Scott picked me up. Got home and did a little straightening up. Got caught up on blog reading and started stitching The Storyteller with the Let's Stitch blog. I managed to finish stitching up one section with the backstitching and then stitched up another section. This is my Friday piece in rotation.
I also took pics of the storm but need to upload them onto my computer. My car is pretty buried out there. Justin actually came home around 7:30 from work and slid right into the yard.
Watched:
General Hospital
A Dennis The Menace Christmas
Ghost Whisperer

and listened a little bit to the audiobook.

Stitchy Saturday

Scott & Dylan were out hunting all day so I did a SAT with OnlyOneEwe BB. This is my Quilt Sampler that is also my incentive piece on the same board. I don't know why the one block is blurry. Maybe I need to clean my scanner?

While stitching I had the TV on and was watching DVRd shows:
True Blood
General Hospital
Ghost Whisperer
90210
Fallen - ABC Family movie

I did manage to do 2 loads of laundry and I think I will do even more today. So after reading blogs it will be DVR time again. Today I will stitch on a Mill Hill ornament and then back to this Quilt Sampler.

an ornament finished

I was still sick when I woke up Friday morning so I called in sick. Scott came home with crackers and peppermint tea and I was feeling a lot better around noon.
So I stitched and finished listening to Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich, which was awesome. I tried to watch Gossip Girl as Alex(Justin's boyfriend) had the first season on DVD. I don't care for it.

Last night was the SAT with the Let's Stitch blog. and I finished this ornament. It is Chessie & Me - Chessie & Friends out of the 2001 JCS ornament issue.
I watched General Hospital and Ghost Whisperer. Does anyone else watch Ghost Whisperer? OMG it was so good and could have been a season finale. I can not believe that they killed him off. I did read an interview by him, yesterday. He did hint that he would be killed in last nights episode and will be on for a little bit more.

Well today is part of the FAL weekend and I still need to pull out my fabrics and ribbon. Might have to run to the store real quick this morning for Fall ribbon and/or fabric.

Tw The Storyteller

Last night was a SAT (stitchathon) with the Let's Stitch group. So I pulled out TW The Storyteller and also used it for my weekly fantasy stitch with the Stitch a Fantasy group. I watched quite a bit of TV. General Hospital, True Blood, Ghost Whisperer and then a movie, August Rush, which I love!
Today is a SAT with another group and will stitch 1 or 2 Mill Hill kits since it is also Quick Stitch weekend with another group.
