Tonight's ornament

I did it. I finished the last ornament for the year.

Tomorrow night I would like to finish them into ornaments. I also will stitch on Aurora's garden again.

Today I started a new audiobook. Justice Denied by J.A. Jance. I like it already and is part of a series that I had started a few years ago.

Tonight I watched the last episodes of Private Practice before the holiday hiatus.

We are getting hit with snow, wind and very cold temps. The windchill is supposed to get below zero and the winds will cause whiteout conditions. Scott took me to work today and he said probably again tomorrow and he has heard that we have snow just about all week. Anybody live in a warmer state that has an extra room for me? All I need is my stitching and my ipod and a couple of books. :-)

a finish for the weekend

I started this last night and finished it tonight. Then I started another one which will be done tomorrow night.
I did not give Aurora's Garden to the recipient. Her birthday is the end of January so I have more time to finish it.

I had a really nice Christmas with my family. Got some pretty jewelry from my sister and parents. Justin got me a GPS, I was surprised. Scott got me candles , Katy Perry CD , and stuff from The Body Shop plus he filled my stocking for the first time in years. Dylan also bought me a Katy Perry CD with a DVD of MTV Unplugged.

Today I finished listening to Odd Hours by Dean Koontz. I gave it a 4/5 stars.

Tonight I watched The Velveteen Rabbit which had me in tears. Yes I am a sap for children's movies.

I have been stitching

I didn't stitch at all on Friday or Saturday. But I did last night and tonight. I have almost another column done, woohoo. As you can see I will not be done for Christmas. So I will wrap it as is and then finish it.

We finally got our tree yesterday. So the boys and I decorated it. I also put up some decorations around the house. I wanted to do more today but we were so busy at work that I crashed. I did watch some of my DVDs: How The Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon), Horton Hears a Who(Cartoon) and A Year Without a Santa Clause. Now I am ready for bed.
Today I also listened to some more of Odd Hours by Dean Koontz.

Started page 2

I have stitched a little bit on page 2. Since Christmas is almost a week away I now know that I can not have this done on time. I will wrap it as it is on that day and then get it back to finish it.

Tonight's Netflix movie was Julie/Julia. I enjoyed the movie very much.

Work has been dead all week and dreading what tomorrow's day will be like. Either another dead day or we will get slammed. My one coworker is going through a tough time right now. Her birthday is Saturday and we usually order out for birthdays but her favorite thing is taco salad so I made that to take in instead and the manager is buying the tortillas and pop. I can't wait lol.

Well as most of you can see I love Heaven and Earth Designs. Mostly Faeries and dragons. I always ask for a fairy calendar for Christmas and for this year I had Linda Ravenscroft's calendar. Well the new ones are out for 2010 and Rachel Anderson has one out so I ordered it :-) It was shipped today and I should have it in 2-3 business days. I wanted to order more things from her website but I have to be good :-( Her Queen Of Hearts is one my favorite patterns and I recieved it from a member of the HAED BB. I am trying to finish Aurora's Garden and I have Fly, Butterfly started and starting in January I will be joining their SAL for a storykeep (bookmark). So I do not want to start another HAED. I have about 12 charts though and some of their freebies are really cute. Aurora's Garden and Fly, Butterfly are freebies.

Well time to read a couple of blogs and then off to bed.

Thanks to those of you who read my ramblings and to those that leave comments. You are all the best.

Woohoo!!

Page 1 is finished! I have been busting my butt on this piece but I don't think I will make the Christmas deadline. I still have page 2 to finish and then 2 or 3 more pages that just have a little bit of stitching.
Friday:
I watched 2 hours of Dollhouse. This Friday is the last 2 hours, since it was cancelled.

Saturday:
Went Christmas shopping with Scott at Walden Galleria Mall by Buffalo. Love that mall. I finished Justin's shopping. Then I stitched some more on this.

Sunday:
Took Justin to Bed, Bath and Beyond to buy 2 pillows. Scott and I needed new ones badly so they were Christmas gifts to us. Then we went to Target, since it was in the same plaza. Now I have never liked Target and always walk out of the doors empty handed. Well I got all of Dylan's shopping done and half of Scott's, ran out of money.
Came home and watched movies while stitching.
Watched:
A Carol Christmas - Tori Spelling version
Holiday In Handcuffs- saw it last season
Santa Baby
Santa Baby 2

Monday:
I listened to Odd Hours by Dean Koontz, at work.
Had my bookcross meeting at Wok For You and had sushi, mmm. No stitching or TV.

Today:
Started with wet snow in the morning and by 2pm it was just plain snow. The roads were wet but no snow was sticking. I left at 4 and everything but the roads were covered. Dylan was in town picking up a movie for family night and he said it was nasty out. We had junk food(jalapeno poppers, pizza rolls and buffalo wing nuggets)
Movie: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Stitched for a couple of hours.
Scott left here around 9pm for work. I talked to him when he got to work and it is snowing so hard that he couldn't see and was only going 20 mph. Said if it is like that in the morning then he will take me to work. Love that man.

crappy weather

It started snowing when I got up and we had high winds all last night through tomorrow morning. Anyways the school were closed because they were calling for whiteouts throughout the day. The morning cleared up and no matter what i had told my 19 year old he figured the weather was done and the whiteouts started around 11 am. Is he home, oh no he is not and had to drive not knowing where he was. Scott had taken me to work because I knew what it would be like later. He ended up picking me up at 12:30. We werent busy at work so my manager said I could leave before it got worse out. I don't know if it could have been any worse except for maybe driving at night. We had 3" within 1 1/2 hours. The vehicle in front of us hit a car that was pulling off a side road and didn't see us on the main road. No one was hurt and not much damage that i know of, because were only going 35mph.
Scott works nights at his full time job. Got up and went outside to warm up his truck and ended up calling in to work. No way was he going in. Still whiteouts and we have a foot of snow and it is still coming down.
Dylan (DS#2, 17 year old) was at work in town. His girlfriend lives a block from where he works so he crashed there for the night, So we are all safe and warm for the night but I wouldn't be surprised if power goes out and I do not believe there will school again tomorrow. We are supposed to get a few more inches of snow over night.
I did stitch about 2 hours on HAED Aurora's garden but I am not taking pics tonight. I will be taking them tomorrow though.

TV watched:
couple of General Hospital episodes
Bone

FYI As The World Turns is being cancelled. The last episode will be September of next year. I used to watch that show every day but haven't watched it in about 10 years. Sorry to see another soap going.

Wednesday update

I have been stitching a little on HAED Aurora's Garden. For some reason on have been playing Sim City Societies and losing track of time. But tonight I stitched and watched 5 1/2 episodes of General Hospital.

Also today I started listening to Odd Hours by Dean Koontz. I am on the second CD.

Last night was family night. One night during the week the boys and I watch a movie and eat some kind of junk food. Last night was Night At The Museum 2. it was ok. I loved the first one.

Please keep us in your prayers as we have a winter storm heading our way. Morning won't be to bad with only about 2" of snow but we are supposed to get 4"-6" more during the day with high winds and gusts of 60 mph which they are saying will cause whiteouts. So I already know that DH is taking me to work. I better take some stitching to do though in case the electric goes out.

Still plugging away

I finished the column I was working on and stitched some more on the next column. My goal is to finish this for Christmas.
I also washed the linens on my bed and went grocery shopping. The bed smells good and we have food for the week :-)

TV watched:
Smallville 11/20
The Forgotten 12/1

I have a lot of PC games and I haven't touched them in months, Mostly due to the fact that I need more memorie. So I used Justin's gaming PC today and played Sim City Societies. Justin bought this for me last year and freezes on my computer so I played it on his. Seems to be fun. I have set aside the weekends for my games and will change what I am playing on every weekend. Anyone else like PC games?

Well time to go play Fairyland on Facebook and then to bed.

Night all!

Aurora's Garden

I almost finished another column. I will try to get another column done today.

TV watched:
Vampire Diaries 11/19
Supernatural 11/19

Movie:
The Kite Runner - awesome and I hate having to read the lines because of another language.

I played Sims2 but not for long. My computer needs more memory.

Bones was on last night and TVguide.com said that Private Practice would be on for 2 hours, but oh no a football game was on. What the hell?

We are supposed to get some snow tonight and Buffalo is getting nailed today.

Tonight I will be watching Dollhouse as it is on for 2 hours and then next Friday is the last episode, yep another show cancelled.

A finish and a WIP

Yeah it is done!! I can't believe it. The words were the easy part, believe it or not. I had fun stitching this and it was a freebie to members of the Needleworkers Haven BB.
HAED Aurora's Garden

Then last night I pulled out HAED freebie Aurora's Garden. I really want this done as a Christmas gift but I don't think it will be possible. Maybe if I didn't work or clean or eat. I will try to post a progress every night.

Is everyone ready for Christmas? I have half of Justin's gifts bought. I gave money to my sister to pick up our parent's gift. I stitched the quilt sampler for my MIL but still have not had it sewn into a pillow and realize it is to late to have it sent out to a finisher.

The Night Before Christmas will be sewn on top of fleece and then have the fleece made into a blanket. This will be a Christmas gift but I can't say for who yet. Not sure if that person reads my blog. Although I don't believe so
