Crazy January challenge #2 finished

This is an ornament that I started January 2.

JCS 1999 Chessie & Me - Chessie's Tree
January 2, 2011 - February 22, 2011

Then today I started a SAL with a BB. It is by The Stitcherhood and is Love (freebie) On 28 ct Monaco with silk thread.

The other day, on Facebook, Dylan's ex Shelbi kept saying she missed me. So tonight we met my sister and went out for sushi. It ended up being a hibachi sushi buffet. It was really good but we wanted a place to go to that you order what kind of sushi rolls that you want. I would go back there again but if wanting ordered sushi we would go somewheres else.

Tonight I listened to the audiobook Angel Time by Anne Rice. I am at chapter 13. Not sure if the story is boring or just the narrator.
Every night I play a game on my new PC but forget to mention what it is.
Tonight's game: Sim City 4

Thanks for all the comments.

RMS SAL and Halloween SAL

I stitched most of the day, Saturday, on Rocky Mountain Christmas. I woke up to nasty  weather again. Cold, windy and snowy. Roads were bad and visibility was bad. So after cleaning I pulled out RMC. I cooked for my inlaws again and this time I made homemade Hamburger Stroganoff. I also stitched while visiting with them.
as you can see I finished the 2nd column. All I need to do on it is the backstitching.
Today I pulled out Poof Hat by Ursula Michael. I started watching TV and stitching , when Justin showed up to do his laundry. Then he took me grocery shopping. I thought the roads were still yucky like when I woke up but they had cleared up.
I also had hamburger soup going in the crockpot, mmm.
Sat down and stitched while watching TV all day, and a little cleaning.
The TV shows I watched:
Pretty Little Liars
Bones
Private Practice
House
Grey's Anatomy

Thanks for all the comments. I have made some great online friends :-)

Also at work I listened to Angel Time by Anne Rice.

I was overtired during the day so I took a 3 hour nap, after work. Felt great afterwards.

Library day with the knitters/crocheters

I stitch with the knitters/crocheters on Mondays, at our library. Since Monday was Valentine's Day we decided to get together tonight. Also next week, Monday is President's Day so the library will be closed, so we will get together on Wednesday. I sat and stitched for 2 hours there. Came home and stitched for 1 1/2 hours.
What did I stitch on you ask. Well Rocky Mountain Christmas of course.
As you can see I finished 1 column and am starting in another one. Wish I thought of this 10 years ago, it might have been finished.

I got brake pads and rotors on my 2 front tires today. That broke me a little :-) Scott got his truck back yesterday so we both have good running vehicles.

Today I also listened to Angel Time by Anne Rice. I am on chapter 6 now, about 1/2 way through the book. It is different but I am enjoying it.

Thank you for all of the comments,
Shelleen

Tuesday progress

I got more progress done.
It would have been more but I watched The Westminster Dog Show while stitching and I had to watch all the dogs so I kept stopping stitching. Congrats to the Scottish Deerhound for winning Best of Show. Beautiful dog and is retiring.

Thank you everyone for all the comments. You are all the best.

Rocky Mountain Christmas

I pulled this out on Friday and stitched on it every day but Sunday. This was started January 1, 2001 as part of a SAL with the Stitching Sisters Yahoo group. I haven't worked on it in a few years. I hated all the confetti stitching but since stitching on HAEDs I appreciate this piece more and will stitch it in columns, like I do the HAEDs.I plan on stitching on it 1 week a month and am hoping to finish it this year. Sorry for the dark picture. It is stitched on 28 ct blue, which is lighter than shown here.

Well DHs truck went into the shop, Thursday, for the part that was needed. They called late this afternoon, to say it was done. He is thrilled to be able to get his truck back.

Dylan came home this weekend and Justin moved out. No more kids living at home. With Scott working 3rd shift it is very quiet in this house.

I went grocery shopping with Dylan, before he went back to PA. Since I eat alone all week I bought Smart Ones, Lean Cuisine, fresh veggies and fruits, chicken and fish. I think this will be easier to keep on track of my weight watchers.

While stitching tonight I watched the Westminster Dog Show. Is anyone else watching this? It will finish up tomorrow night , so I will be curled up on the couch stitching while watching it.

Tuesday progress

Well woke up to more snow. Scott took me into work. My manager went home sick, within minutes of coming to work :-( . She gets bad migraines. I hope she is feeling better. So I closed at 4:00.
Came home and cleaned the kitchen, did dishes and washed the dog's bedding.
Then sat and stitched the rest of the night. I watched General Hospital and Pretty Little Liars.
I think I accomplished quite a bit today on HAED QS Fragile Heart.
Scott got ready to leave for work tonight and has no power in his truck :-( so he had to take my car, to work. I hope it isn't anything serious. He bought it last April.

HAED progress

Tonight was library night with the knitters/crocheters.
After getting out of work early, as it wasn't busy. I then cleaned my living room and folded a couple loads of laundry. I was debating if I wanted to go to the library. But one of the women called me to make sure I was going. When I got ready to leave it was snowing and starting to stick to my road. I decided if the main roads were fine then I would be able to stitch for almost 2 hours. When I left the library the one main road was clear but the other one was snow covered. I was fine though and made it home ok.

I wanted to watch House but I still needed dinner. So I cooked while watching. I know I missed a couple of parts but I got the idea.
Then after it was over, I sat and stitched for an hour and a half. So here is tonight's progress

Yeah Packers!!

Yes, the Packers won and I watched some really cute commercials and even saw previews to movies that I must see.

Today I started reading a book called Finny by Justin Kramon. It is good so far.

Then I played Mall Tycoon 2.

While watching the super bowl , I stitched on Poof Hat.

Saturday SAT and new stash

Saturday morning went and got groceries. Boy it got nasty out fast. Sleet and snow and visibility was zero at times, when we took food to my in laws. I cook every Saturday for my MIL and FIL since their health isn't the greatest. My SILs take care of them during the week so Saturday Scott and I help out to make sure they took their meds and I feed them. I fixed a ham and noodle casserole, which is my favorite.

I took my stitching and stitched on HAED QS Fragile Heart.
I also got stash in the mail. I am on the auto shipment this year, for the new Halloween flip its. I also got the fabric and floss and will do them all on one piece. I also ordered Sue Hillis Happy Valentines Day. It just came out this week.  Thank you Amy from Down Sunshine Lane for the speedy shipment.

Friday night PC game was Pet Vet

HAED progress

After reading emails, BBs and some blogs, I pulled out my HAED. This is QS Fragile Heart.
I will be stitching on this through next Thursday but I will stitch on Poof Hat, on Sunday.
I watched:
The Vampire Diaries
Grey's Anatomy
Private Practice

I also played an hour on Sims3

Thanks for all of your comments, I appreciate them so much. I also found that I am not the only one, who reads blogs and doesn't leave comments. I can not even tell you how many that I read today but only left a few comments.

a finish

We didn't get the weather that we were supposed to. But still all the schools were closed. Scott took me to work and we drove on the main roads but there was no traffic and it was like that all morning. I work on a main road and we have windows all throughout the building and hardly any traffic, it was eerie. I ended up leaving at noon because we were done.

Came home and I stitched for 4 hours while watching DVR shows.
watched:
Pretty Little Liars
3 episodes of General Hospital

I finished a UFO:
Happy Hallowe'en - RoseMary Peddie
28 ct evenweave
12/12/10 - 2/2/11

Then I pulled out one of my January Challenges, which will be my February ornament.
JCS 1999 Chessie & Me - Chessie's Tree

Well time to play a computer game. Tonight's game is Sea World Adventure Parks Tycoon.

Bored?

I love Facebook but had gotten rid of all the games that I played but Fairyland. Now I don't like that game anymore so in a couple of weeks I will be done with that and get rid of all my Fairyland friends. I also left all the groups I was in. Just took up to much time.

Now went through blogs that I was member of and left a couple of those. I no longer do exchanges. I would rather RAK someone. Some blogs no one posted to anymore anyways.

Then some of my Yahoo groups are dead so I left those.

I want to stitch on my UFOs/WIPs and 2 small monthly SALs and of course my ornament a month.

I do NOT want to stitch on anymore RRs. They also take up time.

I miss certain friends, as we used to be close but I got sucked into so much stuff online. I want to read thier blogs and email them regularly again.

I also am trying to not watch new shows on TV as I want to free up my evenings listening to my audio books and watching movies, while stitching. I haven't been caring for Nikita, on the CW so I am no longer going to watch that show. Some of my shows aren't coming back, Medium, Smallville and possibly House, Bones and Supernatural, after this season.

Must be a phase I am going through. Anyone else feel this way?

Next year I want to start a blog of just stitchers stitching on freebies. I don't know about you but I have been printing them up since 1999 and would love to do a year of stitching them and getting rid of the patterns. Yes, gasp, I do throw them out after I stitch them up. Anyone else want to make it their goal for next year?

I like the idea of each year doing something different. I also would love to stitch out of the magazines that I own. Some only have 1 or 2 patterns in them. Then give the magazine away when I am done. Get rid of all this clutter? maybe not clutter but to make way for new things.

I also will give out boxes of books after my book meeting each month. The only thing is they are registered with Book Crossing and I do want journal entries with book crossing when you get them and read them. It is a free membership and fun.

Ok so who is still reading all this silly nonsense? I know boring blog post but a journal post anyways. Is it because Dylan has moved out and Justin may move out next month so I need new changes? I like change and would move in a heartbeat but DH won't move.

Ok I am done blathering lol.
