Blog Tour: The Lemon Tree Hotel by Rosanna Ley

A story about love, family secrets, and a little piece of heaven . . .

In the beautiful village of Vernazza, the Mazzone family have transformed an old convent overlooking the glamorous Italian Riviera into the elegant Lemon Tree Hotel. For Chiara, her daughter Elene and her granddaughter Isabella, the running of their hotel is the driving force in their lives.
One day, two unexpected guests check in. The first, Dante, is a face from Chiara's past, but what exactly happened between them all those years ago, Elene wonders. Meanwhile, Isabella is preoccupied with the second guest, a mysterious young man who seems to know a lot about the history of the old convent and the people who live there. Isabella is determined to find out his true intentions and discover the secret past of the Lemon Tree Hotel.

                                  MY REVIEW:

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The Lemon Tree Hotel has been in the Mazzone family for years. It is set in the village of Vernazza, Italy. When Chiara's parents pass away then she takes over the hotel and her, her daughter and granddaughter run the hotel. The hotel used to be an old covenant and everyone loves the history of it. 2 guests appear which shake some things up. Dante shows up and he was someone from Chiara's past who she never really got over. Then another young man shows up and the granddaughter starts hanging out with him and she likes him but he seems to have secrets that he just isn't willing to share.
We also see that things are not goo between Chiara and her daughter Elene. Both are kind of stand offish to each other and Elene and her husband would like to make some changes to the hotel but it seems that Cjhiara and her granddaughter Isabella don't want to make them. This also causes friction. Then we don't see much of Chiara's husband as he has his own business which keeps him away. I didn''t like him or trust him from the beginning. I kept wanting to smack Chiara and Elene because if these 2 actually spoke from their hearts then they might have had a great relationship for years.
I received this from NetGalley and Quercus for review.
