Workout Wednesday

A coworker called in sick and were busy today. But got out of work on time.
I decided to work out for 30 minutes with the Wii Fit. Now I have a question for some of you. Do any of you belong to Weight Watchers? I am thinking of joining online but wanted some feedback on it.

I pulled out my ipod to listen to Dark of the Moon by John Sandford then sat down to stitch on Christmas Angel, some more.I got the backstitching done from where I was last night and then stitched some more of the ribbon.

  1. I've done WW online - I'm not good about tracking my points or fitness, or even my weekly weigh ins. I have a friend who goes to meetings, and she's doing much better with it - I think it does make a difference, as far as accountability, when you know that you'll see the same people every week. She actually gave me her extra "points calculator" - a slidy-paper thing that can fit in a purse.

I think WW online CAN work - if you do it everyday. Like everything else. But I would suggest trying a meeting, if there's one in your area.

  4. I've done WW in the past and it does work - as long as you stick to it. Once you get your head round the whole points thing it can be a real eye opener as to how much you actually eat. I agree with drea_dear though that if you can get to a meeting do try it - it's a real incentive to stick with it if you know you are going to be weighed by someone else. good luck though with whatever you choose.

  5. I did WW years ago and it was a great diet. I absolutely hated the meetings and didn't stick with those. I guess it's whatever works for you. Angel looks great!

  7. I've been a WW member for 3 years and never thought I'd be successful with losing weight and keeping it off. I still have a long way to go. For me, meetings work better. I tend to procrastinate getting on the scale when I'm on my own.

The WW member boards online are free. Through them, I found quite a few online members who were very successful. Some I became familiar with there, Lynn, is an online member. Here is the URL to a story about her. She's been on Oprah, etc. and there is a link to her blog and photos within this story. Good luck!
