picture heavy and a finish

I have my ornament finished

Ok so let's start with my craft room before. My room is small. 8'x8' so I couldn't get the whole room in.
This is the cubbyhole area. The top shelf has things of the boys', that I don't want to throw out. Lincoln log sets, baseball cards and other collector's cards.

Under the shelves I will be buying a rollaway drawer organizer for all of my cotton fabrics that I use to finish my cross stitch pieces.

This is a small area where my chair will go. That will be one of purchases when taxes come in, in March.

This is the wall that I will have 4 of the 6' shelves. I bought 2 shelves and the brackets yesterday. Scott said he will put them up this week and then this coming weeks paycheck I will buy the other 2 shelves with brackets. I also bought some fabric bins today for my projects.

Couldn't fit much of this wall in. Most of it is a window. No curtains so a blanket is over it for now. I will be buying blinds for the window. Under the window will be my sewing/scrapbook table. It will only come out when I am using it. Folds up nicely. On the left side of the window Scott will be putting a small wire shelf to hold my spools of ribbons.

This was the closet. Scott wants to put 2x2s on the wall so that nothing hits the water pipes. My file cabinet will be going in here and I will be buying a scrapbook roll a way cart to hold my papers and stickers. He also will be putting in a small shelf with 2 holes in it. I will buy glasses to fit into it and they will hold my markers/pens and scissors. The cherry wood you see leaning against the wall is one of the cherry cabinets.

I can't wait til this is done. But it will all come down if Dylan moves back home. he has been told we love him and the door is still open if he can't find a job right away, after school is all done.

This is how far I have gotten on Cat-O-Lantern. I will be stitching on it more today. While stitching I watched: Nikita, Smallville, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries.
Last weekend I met up with Gail and Gisele so here are the picture:
Gisele, me, Gail
Gisele really did stitch :-)
and so did Gail

We had an awesome time. Someone asked me what stash I bought:
JCS 2010 Christmas ornament issue
2 Santa tin kits
Mill Hill Buttons & Beads winter series- Gingerbread House

That is all I bought for cross stitching.

Then I wanted to buy 3 Zentangle books but the bookstores didn't carry them. I did buy a sketchpad and the micro pens. I then ordered the Zentangle books online and still have 1 more to buy. When I start drawing I will post pics.

  1. I love your finish!

Looks like you had alot of fun with the get together.

Your craft room will look great when it is done. I also am in process of gaining a craft room as long as one of the kids that have left the home do not come back. Although, I would love for my daughter to come back for a little while.

  5. Your ornament is fantastic. It must have been hard to see to stitch.

The craft room is coming along nicely. Right now I have a big room, but sometime in the near future we will be downsizing, Don't know where everything will go then.

Looks like you had a great time with your cyberfriends. Also could tell that you have been doing WW - good job!
