Feeling Better and stitching away

I had the flu last week and missed 2 days of work. My manager even had it so we shut the lab down on Monday. I just have to get rid of this stupid cough.
Yesterday and today i stitched on 2 Rrs. One is done and almost done with the other one. I watched a lot of my DVrd TV shows and today was movie day.
I watched:
Watchmen - didn't like it
Duplicity - it was ok
X-Men Origins: Wolverine - liked it

Nothing else new here. Just slept a lot last week and went to bed around 9 every night. Getting back into my routine. Caught up with laundry.

Too many Christmas commercials on TV. I love Christmas but by the time Thanksgiving is here I end up being sick of Christmas. I turn into a scrooge by the time December 1 gets here and then don't even feel like decorating the house. I understand needing it in the Craft stores but we don't need it now in other stores. Does anyone else feel like this?

  1. I feel the same re: Christmas in the stores and on the tube.
    Glad you are feeling better.
Keep stitching - every little stitch counts for the finish!!

  2. Hi Shelleen!
Yes we feel the same way in our house. The craft stores need it out early than the other stores do but we have a craft store here that had some of it out before July.Though we should have Thanksgiving in our hearts all year 'round, it would be nice to actually celebrate Thanksgiving without having to think of Christmas on that day.

  4. Sorry you were ill. Glad to hear you are feeling much better. I for one am happy to have the Christmas stuff out now as I am having to decorate the basement this year and need to gather stuff to do so.

  5. I hope that cough goes away soon, Shelleen. The last one I had lingered for months! I didn't care for Watchmen either. Wolverine was a bit different, too. But then I was never into the Marvel comic characters either.

  6. I agree with you about Christmas. Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I absolutely love it but to me December 1st is soon enough for all the decorating etc. We have our front window at the shop decorated every year for Christmas and the painter wanted to come last week already. We held him off until after Remembrance Day.

Hope your cough goes away soon. Take care!

  7. I'm with you on the Christmas deal. While I might shop earlier (if I'm lucky), I don't want to hear about it until after Thanksgiving!! Glad you're feeling better now. :)
