another block and a half done

Today started worrying about my dog. He has just been acting weird. He is eating and going to the bathroom ok but he seemed to be moping and when DH touched him he yipped. I noticed the change in him yesterday but, like my kids, I was going to give him 2 days. DH works nights so the dog always sleeps with me, curled up next to me. An 83 lb rottie/shepherd mix, who is a big baby. Last night he wouldn't sleep with me, which is really strange. Today Scott was getting worried and told me to call the vet. So I got him in at 5pm. They thoroughly checked him over and could not find anything wrong with him. When we told her how the holidays were and no chocolate is ever left around and no plants in my house, he did have a ham bone but no throwing up from that. So she thinks he was just tired and his muscles were tired. See, my parents brought over their new dog, on Christmas day. They were playing all day. My dog is 10 1/2 years old and probably used some muscles he hasn't in a while. He is acting fine now. They did do some blood work, just as a precaution and will call me tomorrow. They don't think they will find anything. So I am feeling much better.

Dylan and his girlfriend had dinner with me and then we played a game of Phase 10.
The weather here was snowy and windy and very cold. It is 15F right now, bbrrr.

I did stitch a couple of hours tonight. I stitched up a block or two tonight on SK Rapunzel.

I watched Live with Kelly, General Hospital and another Christmas movie. Tonight's movie was Debbie Macomber's Trading Christmas. I loved it!

Today I listened to a few chapters of Port Mortuary by Patricia Cornwell and I also read a few chapters of The Finishing School by Muriel Spark.

Everyone stay safe and warm tonight.

Thank you for the comments and reading my blog. I have a few changes to make on here to get ready for 2012/

  1. I hope your dog is ok. Our Lil Bit has not been playing the last two days and has been sleeping alot. I think she is sick with whatever Mark and I have that Mark's mother brought home from somewhere. Maybe your dog managed to pick something up somehow or it could very well be that he has used muscles that he hasn't used for awhile. You know how us old ones try to keep up with the young whippersnappers. LOL I hope you have a wonderfully healthy, happy and stitch filled New Year!!

I love Phase 10. When we go to Florida to visit my parents in February we always have a big game of Phase 10 and it is so much fun!
