The Wife Before Me by Laura Elliot review

The Wife Before MeThe Wife Before Me by Laura Elliot
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One evening as the sun is setting, Amelia Madison’s car slides into the sea off Mason’s Pier. Her body is never found.

Two years later, Elena Langdon meets Nicholas Madison. She is grieving the loss of her mother, he is grieving for his wife. Together they can help each other.

Now Elena is living with Nicholas. But Elena doesn’t really know him. She doesn’t know what he is capable of.

And she doesn’t know what really happened to Amelia.

Until the day she discovers the torn page of a letter and the words she reads chill her to the bone.

Elena must find the person who wrote these letters if she is to save herself.

All I wanted to do was keep yelling at the book, "Leave him" pack your bags and get out. Elena wants to know more about Amelia and why she did what she did. She is to afraid to tell her friends what is going on. She does confront Nicholas's parents but they don't believe her and don't want to hear it. Then something happens to put her in jail and can't see her children. What she goes through to prove everything that has happened to her makes you want to keep reading and not put the book down.
I received this from NetGalley and Bookouture for an honest review.
