Friday night was a SAT with Lets Stitch blog and Stitching Sisters Yahoo group. I pulled out LHN Glory To God from the JCS 2008 issue. I had started it in March. While stitching I started listening to The Shack by William P. Young. Very good.

Saturday :
Scott, Justin and I went to the Farmer's Market and the a local store to buy meat. Later on Scott and I went to Walmart so I could get another photo box for my specialty threads. Then to Home Depot to get a clothes rod for Justin's closet and I wanted to look at and price shelving for my craft room. Found what I wanted and am going to go with Cherry shelves. I will buy a little bit at a time.
When I came home I read friend's blogs and I was reading
Louisiana Momma's post about her zentangle and remembered I saw this a while ago, online. Well I used to do this in the 80s. Art was my major in school and I was always drawing. So I believe I will buy a sketchbook and a couple of pens and start doing this again. I love Louisiana Momma's Halloween ones and you know how much I love Halloween, so I can't wait to do some. I even found my sketches from the 80's. I still have my art portfolio.
Hoping to stitch quite a bit on Cat-O-Lantern today. See you later.
Thanks so much for the comments , I love them all :-)
Great progess, Shell :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful new week!
((hugs))
That piece is really looking good!
ReplyDeleteCherry shelving sounds beautiful. That would have been my choice, but since I already had some shelves from DH's office that were the light maple, I finished off the room with that.
I've heard The Shack is a great book. I need to put it on my list at the library.
ReplyDeleteI really admire people who have a talent for drawing/painting. I can't draw even a straight line.
Love this piece!
ReplyDeleteCan we see photos of your craft room?? :)
