Tuesday movie/family night

It is Tuesday again and a Netflix night. We watched The Bounty Hunter with Jennifer Aniston. Funny movie.
Then Pretty Little Liars came on and Justin and I watched that.
When that was over I put it on General Hospital and wound more floss on bobbins. I am at the 3700s DMC now.
While watching the movie and Pretty Little Liars I stitched some more on HAED SK Mermaid of the Deep. I got more of the flesh done and some of the tail. I am sure hoping it will be done the end of this week.

I have been feeling like I am in a funk. Not sure if it the changes going on this year or what. I feel time for a change and want to move out of state but Scott won't move. Then I feel like maybe I should just pack up my stuff, the dog and my cat and just go by myself and start over a new chapter in my life. Not sure where this is all coming from. Justin is in college and Dylan is moving to PA. I am ready for a change. I have been living in this house or I should say trailer for almost 23 years and am bored. It is old and Scott doesn't want to put money into it but he doesn't want a mortgage either so he doesn't want to buy a new place. Scott has had to work OT since February with no end in sight so I only get to spend time with him on Saturdays and this is getting really old as well. I am grateful that he has a job but they also take advantage of that and making it mandatory OT. My stitching friends all live out of state and the one that I have here I haven't seen since March. She is always busy.Anybody else ever feel like this?

Thanks for the comments that are being left, I really appreciate them.

  1. Your diffidently not alone hun; just really sit and think and decide what is best for YOU! I'm going thru the exact same thing; I just told my boyfriend I want him to leave; I want to be alone; just take care of myself and do what I want when I want and need a change. Hang in there hun and be strong.

    Hugs, Shar

  2. You're not alone! With me it's not my relationship I'm in a funk about but work. With me, I figure if I have to think about what is the right thing to do so much that I just need to hold tight for a while.

  3. Sometimes it's really hard; hope it all works out and DH doesn't have to work so much overtime! Hang in there!

  4. Nice progress on the mermaid. I think we all go through those times we are in a funk and need a change. Hope Scott doesn't have to work so much overtime. Maybe some rearranging, new furniture, new paint, will make your house look new.

  5. Yep, be glad he has a job and is getting all that OT. There are LOTS of people out of work or having their hours cut -- in all industries. It's tough, so take the hours while they're to be got.

Your storykeep is almost finished! It looks really good, Shelleen.

I saw Bounty Hunter and thought it was funny also.

  6. Your needles are smoking on this one!

Sending happy thoughts your way. I know when things are changing rapidly around you and it can make you feel kind of left behind. Hopefully the future will hold more exciting things!

  7. You should hop over to my blog. Same story, different verse! I am in a funk also. Maybe it is this stupid heat. I don't want to move from my husband or even move for that matter, but definitely want a change.
It takes a little getting used to not having all the activity around once kids are gone.
You hang in there! Hopefully it will get better soon.

  8. I hope things get better for you, I have just come out of a terrible time with my hubby, we both still love each other but it has always been the boys, now with both out of school, it just us now. So we are relearning how to fall back in love. It's hard somedays but worth it I think. Your stitching is amazing! I'd never have stuck with such a detailed piece.

  9. I hope things start to look up for you. Hang in there. I do agree that maybe some fresh paint and just moving some stuff around and even purging will help. I will be thinking of you and hoping you find some peace soon.

    Happy Stitching
